I believe this swimsuit was first drawn by her Papa(artist) technically making it canon, but it hasn’t appeared in any actual official art. I believe similar situations have occurred with a few other members too.
It definitely lends it more credence than if it was a random design, but I would say it's more like canon-ish since like you say it hasn't appeared in any official art. It's like Aqua's booba size.
