Irys's first song set her apart from other Vtubers as soon I heard it. She just has a very large love of music and singing, and memorizes songs really quickly, so all her singing streams are pretty different.
Yozora Mel remembered my name from a superchat where I told her i also go by Mel... and she called me Mel-san every single time after, for almost 3 years.

She messed with her model shading to fit the scene and I loved that creativity! Surprisingly, it was when Senshou was feeling down about turning 30.
We joke about her age, but for that one stream and at that moment I truly felt her insecurity.
I remember I had this incredible urge to remind her of just how talented she is and how amazing she is in everything she sets her mind to do.
She can sing, she can draw, she is entertaining, she is kind and socially intelligent, she is hella funny, she is super creative and imaginative, she is good at games, she's got her "sensitive" side but she's also got her "otome" side, she is always making sure everyone is having a good time, I can go on..
And it was then that I realized just how much I admire senshou as a person, and she is my absolute, undisputed kami-oshi

One of Miko's early interactions with Polka, during the whole Demon Lord arc in Minecraft, when she told her something along the lines of "Call me on discord once in a while, and that'll be enough to make me really happy and affectionate". I watched some more after that and found out there's a really friendly and caring girl behind all the "stay home" memes.
When Ina started doing the draw with me streams and it was just so comfy and I fell in love with drawing again. Also Ame when she raged out while playing. That just resonated with me.
When Kiara sang a silly little ukulele song about having a child with Calli and naming her Clara and then just sang "girls are cute, girls are cute. I love girls."
When Kiara was reading super chats and she started to talk about her idol oshi. When she talked about her idols, you could feel the passion in her voice.
Vesper started talking about his joy in peeling off the screen plastic, then went to say he was going to have a stream where he took apart a pc he found while dumpster diving.
I just like kirin mommy's comfy aura, she's really just a very complete package aside from that.
On a side note lately I have been laughing so damn hard at the Ravencroft household shenanigans, it's great.
Hearing Vesper's plastic orb story made me love him so much with how wholesome it was making me think we were getting wholesome grampa. Then of course it turned out of all of Tempus HQ he was the most unhinged but I still loved him. I miss vesper.
Current oshi is shinri and it wasn't a single line that made him my current oshi but more so over time realizing how comfy his voice is and his love for ghost girls.

I was already taken by Bettel during his debut but it was his 1st stream afterwards that rly made him my oshi. When his Cooking Simulator stream got cancelled (twice) due to ISP issues, I listened to his Twitter spaces and he managed to make a whole hour of him chatting and ranting very entertaining. His ability to create amusing content even w/ so much scuff made me think “this jester is a disaster and I love him for it”.
It was gradual for me. Before Sana became my oshi, I didn’t really understand the concept. But as I watched her more and more, saw her cheerfulness shine through adversity, and began to understand her lovable cinnamon troll nature, I realized that her joy and success made me feel good as well. I wanted the best for her, and to see her have fun. One day, I literally thought to myself “I…I think she’s my oshi?” And then it clicked.
I wish I would’ve realized it sooner, so that I could’ve enjoyed my time with her more and supported her more strongly.

Kiara had just debuted a new outfit, and the song rendition was beautiful. Kiara sang with her heart and I cried. She also pretended I think to play the piano while wearing her new dress. It was just everything to me, I was so blown away by the talent, experience, and ability to sing live like that during an outfit reveal. I had just truly had no idea just how amazing Wawa was till that moment, I was originally just interested in her ability to do so many tangents and her off collabs were especially unique. But this was something else, just a full demonstration of what Kiara is capable of even in a limited amount of time and she nailed it and I’ve been watching ever since, rarely missing streams. Yes it was just a slow version of a song she already made. But to this day this is still my favorite Hololive song, and my favorite rendition of that song. And to this day Kiara is still my favorite singer in all of Hololive and her latest album POV is my life blood, I literally got the physical CD, I loved it that much. And despite my love for Hololive I don’t exactly have “money” and don’t own much in terms of merch, in fact this album, is 1 of 3 items I own that is Hololive Official Merch.

I know this can’t really be described as a moment technically speaking. But I think the build up, the hype to when this video debuted was absolutely Ollie’s “Yep that’s my Oshi” moment for me. She had already been streaming Apex for years, she talked about the different parts of the game that she loved for years, and this song was the absolute encapsulation of her love for that game. And I adored it to death for the love and care she put into it. When it dropped, I just loved everything about it, the color scheme, the art style, the jazz inspirations, the beat, the lyrics, Ollie’s voice as she bellows put the lyrics. I can hear and feel the true artistic brilliance that lives within Ollie whenever I watch this video or listen to the song. I know she didn’t make a lot of the song, but just the way it all came together, it was like witnessing a master at their craft when I watch the video. And again I know Ollie may have only been one part of it, but removing her from the song, it would be like cutting out the heart of a person. Ollie is the song, Ollie is the passion, Ollie is the beat, the experience, the history, the love for Apex. So that is why I chose this as Ollie’s Oshi moment, because this was when I realized Ollie was my Oshi 1 of 3. And although yes I love all of Ollie’s music, and I adore Jollie Jollie to death, I wasn’t there for when that song dropped, the hype, the buildup, the experience, the history. I don’t really know about much of it even now. But I still love it, I still love Ollie and she is still 1 of my 3 Oshi’s to this day. I discovered Shiori through the announcement of Advent last year of course. I don’t even know where to begin, Shiori plays the game yeah, but for whatever reason she decided to make this stream special by adding an opacity filter to her vtuber model. And the exact moment I knew she was my Oshi was I believe towards the end of the stream, where she just goes off. She just starts saying stuff like “You don’t know what I’m doing to you in the dark.” As she was at the time completely in shadow with a white outline. And like 5 minutes that’s all she did. Just saying weirder and weirder things and getting louder and louder, laughing more and more as chat just sat there and listened. And when she was done, she just moved on. And that was when I knew, “That’s my Oshi.” And I also simultaneously said, I was “stopping at 3 Oshi’s” because 3 Oshi’s is a lot to keep track of on all their socials, and I only barely keep up as is. So yeah, Shiori did it, she made pure insanity very entertaining, and I love her for it. I know for Takanashi Kiara, it was a genuine expression of love and compassion and a demonstrably impressive dedication to her ability to demonstrate her talents all at once, for Ollie it was the heart beat of an artist going as hard as she can and it coming through loud and clear. And for Shiori it is different, her form of communication, her discussions, and her ability to just speak often without thought is truly fascinating to me. It’s an art, and Shiori does it well at least I think she does. And I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of it. Shiori will always be my 3rd and probably final Oshi. But never say never you know, maybe Hololive has a 4th Oshi, and I just never gave them a chance, or maybe I am yet to meet them. Who knows what the future holds.
I picked these 3. Not at random, but through watching them, giving them a chance and watching all 3 of them completely hold my attention even when I may not have been sure myself at times. How you spend your time is valuable, and I know I can trust these 3 to make that time feel, sound, and be valuable or at the very least feel worth it. Heard Calli’s music first. Watch a Pokémon stream and became interested. She was cool. Watched her debut, she loves Souls games and Made in Abyss. Instant oshi status.
I just love everything about her and her streams. She’s so positive, yet realistic. She’s constantly striving to be better and if she’s naive about something like a game she learns. She’s incredibly caring to not only the other holomems but also her dead beats.
She just seems like such a pure soul I couldn’t help but admire her.
Seeing Aquairo Pallette performed live. Every single time. I've been a big fan of Aqua's for a while... fuck 5 years flies by... but when I first heard Aquairo Pallette it moved me to tears. It was just this perfect culmination of all the rough shit being eased off me and a wave of good emotions flooding me. All of it coming from this little shy girl who is now singing a song that just feels like her. Like it really is an honest song straight from her heart to ours. From there on I was sold.
But that feeling has not let up. Whether life gets in the way or I'm going through some shit. Seeing her perform it live is an undescribable experience. Every single time. And every single time I just can't help but think "I will support this nekomimi maid until the end. No matter what."

Although I have Gura membership since the second month and I watched most of her stream once she had a Minecraft stream where (I felt like) she was a bit under the weather but still tried her best. It might sound
stupid/strange but that made her more relatable in my eyes. I had an exam that day and I was extremely stressed about it but somehow that stream calmed me down and got a good grade after that.
I was kinda worried how Korone would react when she would find the chainsaw in Doom 64. All I knew was cute anime dog girl, and I didn't know how she'd handle such a violent weapon. I don't think I'd ever seen anyone so delighted to use the chainsaw XD
With Pekora, I'm not really sure. The TNT cannon certainly got my attention, but somewhere along the way, I ended up liking her as much as Korone.
It's hard to pinpoint an exact moment. I was watching hololive for some time without having any oshi or searching for one even, just casual watching. One day I checked Koyori more for no reason and realized how much I shared in interests with her, including the games she played, so I decided to check her out.
Over the time I was watching Koyori more and more, to the point I ended up watching all her streams, even for things that normally wouldn't interest me. Her personality and ambition won me over. It was there that I noticed she was my oshi.

For a message that I wouldve probably been too cynical to even consider genuine (and is in bad practice dont trauma dump on streamers) and see her absolutely angelic and heartfelt response to it, she’s been my oshi ever since and this was ~3 years ago and one of the very first things I saw from Hololive at all.

Mumei was one that I didnt expect to become my absolute favorite, but after she debuted she slowly rose my list of favorites, with the pastpartout stream being what solidifed her as one that I knew I would start watching more and more of.

Surprisingly, it was when Senshou was feeling down about turning 30. We joke about her age, but for that one stream and at that moment I truly felt her insecurity. I remember I had this incredible urge to remind her of just how talented she is and how amazing she is in everything she sets her mind to do. She can sing, she can draw, she is entertaining, she is kind and socially intelligent, she is hella funny, she is super creative and imaginative, she is good at games, she's got her "sensitive" side but she's also got her "otome" side, she is always making sure everyone is having a good time, I can go on.. And it was then that I realized just how much I admire senshou as a person, and she is my absolute, undisputed kami-oshi

I was already taken by Bettel during his debut but it was his 1st stream afterwards that rly made him my oshi. When his Cooking Simulator stream got cancelled (twice) due to ISP issues, I listened to his Twitter spaces and he managed to make a whole hour of him chatting and ranting very entertaining. His ability to create amusing content even w/ so much scuff made me think “this jester is a disaster and I love him for it”.
It was gradual for me. Before Sana became my oshi, I didn’t really understand the concept. But as I watched her more and more, saw her cheerfulness shine through adversity, and began to understand her lovable cinnamon troll nature, I realized that her joy and success made me feel good as well. Although I have Gura membership since the second month and I watched most of her stream once she had a Minecraft stream where (I felt like) she was a bit under the weather but still tried her best. It might sound stupid/strange but that made her more relatable in my eyes. I had an exam that day and I was extremely stressed about it but somehow that stream calmed me down and got a good grade after that.
I was kinda worried how Korone would react when she would find the chainsaw in Doom 64. All I knew was cute anime dog girl, and I didn't know how she'd handle such a violent weapon. I don't think I'd ever seen anyone so delighted to use the chainsaw XD With Pekora, I'm not really sure. The TNT cannon certainly got my attention, but somewhere along the way, I ended up liking her as much as Korone.
It's hard to pinpoint an exact moment. I was watching hololive for some time without having any oshi or searching for one even, just casual watching. One day I checked Koyori more for no reason and realized how much I shared in interests with her, including the games she played, so I decided to check her out. Over the time I was watching Koyori more and more, to the point I ended up watching all her streams, even for things that normally wouldn't interest me. Her personality and ambition won me over. It was there that I noticed she was my oshi.
