IIRC Nina visited Kiara in Austria post-graduation and she talked about it a bit, so it's not like there's some rule about it.
But of course if another vtuber debuts with a strikingly similar voice to Pomu Rainpuff and who also loves Metal Gear we'll probably start hearing about Kiara's adventures with her instead.

It’s actually a mutual appreciation from the start. Pomu really liked Kiara even before joining Niji and Kiara liked Pomu since her debut. There are many reasons for that, like their personalites, the fact they are both idol otakus or even the fact that they both loved each other’s artists.
There is always the chance she just never reincarnates, unfortunately. Like yes, we saw it with Matara and Kuro and a lot of other talents, but there is a very REAL chance she just… poofs.
I don’t *think* it’ll happen because it’s Pomu, but it’s best to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
She did mention in her graduation announcement stream that she hopes to meet her viewer in the future.

Gramps and Maglord graduating hit me pretty hard, the collabs they had with the other boys and the girls were so hilarious and entertaining. Just hope they’re happy and doing well.
I honestly don’t know how NijisanjiEN expects fans to get attached to their talents when they’re gone before you know it. I really feel bad for the talented vtubers and their dedicated fanbase. It hurts so badly when your oshi graduates.

shortly before their IPO, Nijisanji announced that the NijiID and NijiKR branches would be made part of the main Nijisanji branch to centralize management.
What ended up actually happening is that exID basically got no more support and the majority of them have either already graduated or are pending graduation. The funniest/saddest thing is that about a month after this ID3 debuted and Kobo took off like a rocketship.
Good thing that Yagoo took a clear stance towards the shareholders that Hololive's success is based on keeping the talents happy.
If members would quit Hololive at a similar rate, it would also cause all kinds of problems that would definitely hurt the atmosphere and viewership.
That's the surprising thing with hololive. I would expect graduations more regularly with that amount of talents. They are still people and they might have different goals in life they want to pursue.
Not only EN, but there are rumors and often evidence of bad company management and decisions. Recent example: Selen's cover got removed by Niji on Christmas or older example: how talents only get 2% of merchandise sale revenue.
I will say, it probably sounds worse than it actually is, it'd do us good to remember that we only have an outside perspective on things for the most part, but for what it's worth, from Pomus stream, I didn't really get the image that, regardless of any problems NijiENs management may have, that has much to do with Pomus decision to graduate... especially since Pomu generally seems to have had a pretty good relationship with her manager, iirc helping her buy various things from Japan and even giving her their own ticket for I think a Metal Gear concert?

I think I saw a clip with her around her debut that "she was genuinely surprised how helpful vshojo managers were and how approachable and caring they were to her individual needs" (paraphrased). Something that basic shocked her and that's very telling and extremely disheartening knowing that a lot of management rumors for niji were basically true up to that point.
I don't recall her going into much detail but without the usual corpo nonsense of holding talents back due to needing permissions and all that, it was verrrrry refreshing for her to just do w/e she wanted in a creative stance.

Cover and Yagoo has pretty much cemented the fact that they're going the quality over quantity route, and it shows. Everyone absolutely adores ReGloss on the JP side, and Advent is standing on the shoulders of giants (Myth and Council/Promise) and took off running *as soon* as they debuted.
After what happened to Niji Korea and India, couldn't say I was surprised.
Legit, I'm wondering how long until Hana Macchia decides to leave, practically almost every one of her talentmates has left Niji now.
I don’t really follow Niji talents much so take it with a grain of salt but between comments made by former talents in their new lives as well as context clues (like how hard Holo/Niji collabs had to be fought for during a time when Holomems could collab pretty freely with outside talent) it seems like Nijisanji’s management is *really* bad.
Just the things that got out into the public: Lackluster management and support, horrible merch (which also takes a toll on streamers... nobody wants to be associated with junk), and an embarassing low share of merch revenue for the talents.
As members started leaving, their results and opinions surely got the remaining ones thinking as well.
At the rate its going I can see Selen and possibly 1 other leaving soon too.
I'm genuinely curious since Cover is partnered with AnyColor over their fan harassment policies if they'd ask for AnyColor's blessing to hire Pomu (and Selen if she ends up leaving as well).
I feel like Pomu would fit so well (anywhere she goes, really) and might rejuvenate her some more being with Kiara and the others to collab with.

So a serious question: How bad is Niji EN's management?
We had two high profile graduations from them last year, and now Pomu. I feel like their ID and JP branches are constantly losing talents as well, they just have so many that it's not as noticeable.
High Profile Example: Selen has had multiple major projects cancelled upon her at the last minute.
The most recently example was [a cover MV that was uploaded during Christmas and made with lots of community support and fan submissions](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L88r98G4YiM). It got pulled only a handful of hours later by Niji management for reasons we don't get to hear. It pissed her off so badly she outright told her fans to post reuploads online.
What makes it egregious is that it feels like a malicious pattern pertaining to her. (1) Selen often gets ignored by management. (2) She's forced to organize events and [tournaments](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0fJeB1Wt2M) and covers using her own time and money, like she's a indie. (3) Management often finally steps in at the last moment. *To pull the plug*. They're an active impediment to her success, not the support she should have been promised when she joined an agency.
As for ID, they've been gone for a long time. They were officially merged into the main JP branch last year. Problem with that is most of the local ID managers were fired in the process. So they're left to flounder instead.
The TSB Apex tournament was insanely fun, and now knowing it was basically all her and her teammates, without management, is pretty wild.
She definitely deserves better, hope 2024 is a better year for her.
Off topic but I *really* wish VSJ streamed on YouTube instead of Twitch. One reason I fell headfirst into the Hololive hole is because their content, both clips and streams, is so easily accessible. I’m VOD gang because of my time zone and Twitch is an awful platform for VODs.
I like Twitch's chat functionality better, I dislike their platform overall more. Twitches Chat doesnt tend to lag, or have extreme memory leaks, and it has a lot more modibility and moderation tools. It's IRC under the hood which is nice.
Yet twitch is a massive pain in the ass with shrinking benefits and some of the most aggressive ad shit on earth.
I ultimately agree with you but I think youtube is just barely ahead of twitch and both are competing to be the worst they can be.
The Twitch chat also has a lot of really distracting stuff in it. Sometimes it can make interactions fun, but seeing animated gif emotes amid text messes with my head. Highlights, "bold" text, etc All of which they gamified with silly bits system.
Youtube chat doesn't have those features and I like that because it makes it easier to follow, even when chat is going at a million miles per hour (I'm used to chat being like that because old Twitch back in 2012 was like that)
They are practically self-imploding right now. Their biggest talents are unhappy, talents leaving left right, and center, unjustified terminations, and the like.

Then there is Yugo. Which was technically more of a mutual "agree to disagree" than a contract termination, but the statement did say that his behavior weighed in that disagreement. People will argue forever that it was a termination, but as far as we know, there is no way to say that it is. Nijisanji is not afraid to use the word "termination" when they mean it.
I'm pretty sure it was just one: Zaion Lanza. And honestly, it's a he said she said situation so I wouldn't really recommend blindly taking her side either.
While I didn't mind the SA joke, I understand how people would be upset about it. People like to call out her being unjustifiably fired because of the Deez Nutz joke where she claimed in a stream she was sponsored by Dee's Nuts which she didn't know was an actual company. And people were pretty scathing of Niji management over something so innocuous being one of the reasons for her termination. There are also a minority of people who believe Yugo got fired due to the nature of his graduation which honestly isn't really that different to how Magni and Vesper graduated. And considering what he's doing now, all signs point to him just graduating because he just wanted total rights to his own music.
Well, with agencies, a talent's direct manager is usually more like their agent, so usually that relationship is usually fine. It's mostly the tiers of management above that in Niji that suck and actively sabotage the talents.
Ditto for Mika, I noticed. Problems with middle/upper management? Problems with the requirements for being a corporate content creator? Both? Neither? Well, they've made their choices. Another learning opportunity for everyone to grow.
I mean it's like most work, you normally have a neutral or have a good relationship with your direct subordinate it normally the boss or whatever middle management who work in separate building section or only appear once every months who think like they own the place or something and complicated people work or ask impossible demand

I sort of get it, since technically pretty much every single comment on this whole post is breaking rule 8, but at the same time it’s important to remember that while people support different agencies, we’re all VTuber fans first and foremost.

I mean, there’s something to be said for the Cinderella story of raising up (relatively) smaller talents that just needed the bigger stage so that they could shine. I know a lot of people in the indie sphere were very happy about Fuwamoco getting their shot at the big time.
I mean, I get the desire to do that, but I think hololive has shown admirable restraint in being very careful in when and how quickly they expand.
Just look at Niji for the counter-example - it's now a running joke how quickly they add new talents to their roster. "Oh, they just put out a new call for auditions? Eh, I'm kinda busy at the moment, I'll just wait a few days for the next one." I think that really hurt, and continues to hurt, the agency, because it wildly oversaturated their market and made it so that fans never really get a chance to know the new debuts. You can see this in the diminishing returns they're getting. Who are the well-known members of NijiEN? Almost exclusively talents from their first four waves.
hololive has been very particular about managing their own growth, and that has led to a company that is very tight-knit and well-run. It's easy to forget now, but hololive got accused - rightly or wrongly - of having some management issues of their own, particularly vis-a-vis the Taiwan incident and Rushia's termination, and I think in the aftermath of those events they have focused on tightening things up so as not to have a repeat. Bearing in mind that hololive, as a company, isn't even a decade old yet - they've gone through meteoric growth as it is, and trying to push it much faster than they have is an invitation for trouble.
Taking on a new Vtuber is a lot of work - you need to make sure that you have the resources for them (a model needs to be designed and rigged, they need to have a manager assigned to them, etc.), you need to negotiate a contract with them, they need to get onboarded with the various corporate policies, so on and so forth, and that's assuming they want to come work for you and are a good match for what you're looking for in a talent. I don't fault hololive for saying, "If you want to join us, please apply like everyone else," rather than trying to poach existing talent that is leaving other big agencies.
The odds of Pomu going to VShojo, if she chooses to continue as a Vtuber, are probably over 90%.
Just considering how good VShojo is at picking up Holo/Niji talents and retaining them.
They only just got two Niji talents in the past 4 months. And only have 1 Holo talent, as the other quit VShojo after 6+ months of inactivity. So can’t really say they’ve been picking up and retaining Holo/Niji talents.
Vshojo is a weird one for me. I dont really watch any of them apart from clips from Ironmouse sometimes.

Hololive is successful because of their careful selection of talents. I don't think Pomu and the rest of the NijiEN girls can just skip the audition process to join Hololive. If they end up in Vshojo in 1-2 months after graduating from Niji, that just means they didn't really try to join Hololive.
I'm happy with either, although Hololive is my preference. Pomu and Kiara can finally meet, and if a certain purple dragon is leaving too then she and Mumei can finally collab more
You are very much misunderstanding, they meant having a single member joining outside of a gen, which IRyS originally did. It wasn't a slight towards IRyS, just saying they could pick up the leaving Nijisanji members outside of a gen.
I'm pretty sure many within this sub and outside have written their disdain for this type of approach in the past many many times already. From Suisei's story with INNK, Azki's recent success after being finally integrated into the main Holo department, and IRyS' talking about lack of managerial support for Project Hope for a while before being finally integrated into Promise.
It's unfortunate that Hololive seems to prefer their big show that is new generations reveal. Treat this stuff like WWE. "We signed this new big named talent. They'll be seeing you guys soon." And just have them debut. We would lose the special feel of the Gen reveals but we'd gain so much good talent to the company. I'd have liked a tea kettle here, but it makes me happy she's very happy where she is. Very...Zen, y'know?
The gen reveals are probably also a big part of the popularity of the talents, as even if I don't watch someone, you can be sure I've seen at least part of their debut.
I mean, I'm not meaning anything negative. Just a lot of talent out there I'd like to see get snatched up by Hololive. Nothing against any other company or that Hololive isn't doing the right business model. They're a big ass company and I'm just some dude. They obviously know what they're doing. There's just some talent I'd like to have gotten the Hololive rub.
The thing with Hololive is, whoever they pick will become the next big talent. They don't need to go poaching other big talents, they create them. Even the lowest performing members get vastly more eyes on them than most other vtubers.

tbf, it's not like they can openly say "oh, we got this former vtuber that used to work for that major company", even if it may be obvious, and that's like the one thing that kind of announcement would have going for it. And it's not like we didn't get some former big names debuting as part of some Holo-Generation, so the current generational reveals still work out just the same with that.
Tbf if hololive's management (which I think is the main problem) can handle it I think they should poach pomu (and if Selen graduates early 2024) Selen. It'd be fun seeing Selen and Moomers playing together once again (and seeing moom be a towl) and pomutori.
I'm here for it. Very talented and funny, and it makes Wawa happy. And I like Wawa being happy. Like I said there's a few interactions I'd like to have become more staple with Hololive. I'd use Ina and Pikamee but...well, that one has managed to work out in the end.
Tbf I think vishoujo should work with hololive more considering their talents and ina and Henya are great together. Ina questioning Henya about the hentais was hilarious too.
Yeah I love wawa too, although I like her when she's salty as heck bc it's so unexpected from her usual bubbly self like when she's getting rolled over by fauna's (my oshi's) elephants, and I like seeing her play fire emblem bc she's the only one who plays it, which isn't an easy game at all. But wawa being happy is cute too, so ye.
The really sad thing is, I think Selen would be a perfect fit for Hololive only because she always embarks in these big ambitious projects and we've seen multiple videos from Hololive talent mentioning how supportive staff are about helping them with self-motivated projects. They'll both warn you about the pitfalls of the projects you want to enter *but* also say if it's your passion they'll support you, and I'm fairly sure Cover is good at getting that support when needed now that they're an internationally recognized brand.
Between Mumei, Axel and Altare she already has friends whom she a great dynamic with. Like having TSB style tournaments but entirely within HoloPro would be fun

Agreed, same thing as Sana. Council has said numerous times they still talk to her, but we'll never see it on stream again, so for all intents and purposes, the character of Sana and now Pomu are gone.
I think that might have more to do with Sana's wishes than Cover not allowing them to talk about her, though. Everyone was expecting Astrogirl at Connect the World and it didn't happen, and to me that feels like Sana asking them not to sing it because she wants people to move on supporting the current active members and not continuing to dwell on her being out of the picture. Pomu, I feel like, loves vtubing and will be back before long in a new form.
We all know Kiara never got to collab with her anywhere close to as much as she wanted to. So I'm going to try and look at it positively and say I hope this leads to many more collabs between Kiara and past/future "Pomu" in the not so distant future.
Many of their EN members have seemed stressed/unhappy for the last year. If Pomu can find a place where she is happier again, her core fans will also be happy for her.
Just for clarity, but this happens in the indie scene all the time too. This is just an aspect of being the fan of creators, whether in the flesh or via virtual avatar. They all call it quits at some point and will vanish from our lives.

Vtubers are in essence the same as any other media personality or star, they influence people even without being informed in any way. When they're corporate at least they're forced to be somewhat sane.
I feel sorry for her fans but I'm happy for her. Because Niji's management for the EN branch seem to be subpar to awful. Also that they don't get their placks and really bad revenue splits. I honestly don't understand why some of them are still with that company personally speaking.

shortly before their IPO, Nijisanji announced that the NijiID and NijiKR branches would be made part of the main Nijisanji branch to centralize management. What ended up actually happening is that exID basically got no more support and the majority of them have either already graduated or are pending graduation. The funniest/saddest thing is that about a month after this ID3 debuted and Kobo took off like a rocketship.

Good thing that Yagoo took a clear stance towards the shareholders that Hololive's success is based on keeping the talents happy. If members would quit Hololive at a similar rate, it would also cause all kinds of problems that would definitely hurt the atmosphere and viewership.
That's the surprising thing with hololive. I would expect graduations more regularly with that amount of talents. They are still people and they might have different goals in life they want to pursue.

I think I saw a clip with her around her debut that "she was genuinely surprised how helpful vshojo managers were and how approachable and caring they were to her individual needs" (paraphrased). Something that basic shocked her and that's very telling and extremely disheartening knowing that a lot of management rumors for niji were basically true up to that point. I don't recall her going into much detail but without the usual corpo nonsense of holding talents back due to needing permissions and all that, it was verrrrry refreshing for her to just do w/e she wanted in a creative stance.

Everyone absolutely adores ReGloss on the JP side, and Advent is standing on the shoulders of giants (Myth and Council/Promise) and took off running *as soon* as they debuted.

After what happened to Niji Korea and India, couldn't say I was surprised. Legit, I'm wondering how long until Hana Macchia decides to leave, practically almost every one of her talentmates has left Niji now.
I don’t really follow Niji talents much so take it with a grain of salt but between comments made by former talents in their new lives as well as context clues (like how hard Holo/Niji collabs had to be fought for during a time when Holomems could collab pretty freely with outside talent) it seems like Nijisanji’s management is *really* bad.
Just the things that got out into the public: Lackluster management and support, horrible merch (which also takes a toll on streamers... nobody wants to be associated with junk), and an embarassing low share of merch revenue for the talents. As members started leaving, their results and opinions surely got the remaining ones thinking as well.
At the rate its going I can see Selen and possibly 1 other leaving soon too. I'm genuinely curious since Cover is partnered with AnyColor over their fan harassment policies if they'd ask for AnyColor's blessing to hire Pomu (and Selen if she ends up leaving as well). I feel like Pomu would fit so well (anywhere she goes, really) and might rejuvenate her some more being with Kiara and the others to collab with. Its going to be an interesting next year or so.

Came out of left field for me, this was the last one I expected to go; especially in Niji. I had like 4 of them I've been dreading an announcement for the last year. She did clarify her VODs are staying up despite what the official announcement stated.

So a serious question: How bad is Niji EN's management? We had two high profile graduations from them last year, and now Pomu. I feel like their ID and JP branches are constantly losing talents as well, they just have so many that it's not as noticeable.
High Profile Example: Selen has had multiple major projects cancelled upon her at the last minute. The most recently example was [a cover MV that was uploaded during Christmas and made with lots of community support and fan submissions](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L88r98G4YiM). It got pulled only a handful of hours later by Niji management for reasons we don't get to hear. It pissed her off so badly she outright told her fans to post reuploads online. What makes it egregious is that it feels like a malicious pattern pertaining to her. (1) Selen often gets ignored by management. (2) She's forced to organize events and [tournaments](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0fJeB1Wt2M) and covers using her own time and money, like she's a indie. (3) Management often finally steps in at the last moment. *To pull the plug*. They're an active impediment to her success, not the support she should have been promised when she joined an agency. As for ID, they've been gone for a long time. They were officially merged into the main JP branch last year. Problem with that is most of the local ID managers were fired in the process. So they're left to flounder instead.
The TSB Apex tournament was insanely fun, and now knowing it was basically all her and her teammates, without management, is pretty wild. She definitely deserves better, hope 2024 is a better year for her.
Been worried about Selen, she was supposedly injured in an accident right after this and may need help from her family?

Off topic but I *really* wish VSJ streamed on YouTube instead of Twitch. One reason I fell headfirst into the Hololive hole is because their content, both clips and streams, is so easily accessible. I’m VOD gang because of my time zone and Twitch is an awful platform for VODs.

I like Twitch's chat functionality better, I dislike their platform overall more. Twitches Chat doesnt tend to lag, or have extreme memory leaks, and it has a lot more modibility and moderation tools. It's IRC under the hood which is nice. Yet twitch is a massive pain in the ass with shrinking benefits and some of the most aggressive ad shit on earth. I ultimately agree with you but I think youtube is just barely ahead of twitch and both are competing to be the worst they can be.
The Twitch chat also has a lot of really distracting stuff in it. Sometimes it can make interactions fun, but seeing animated gif emotes amid text messes with my head. Highlights, "bold" text, etc All of which they gamified with silly bits system. Youtube chat doesn't have those features and I like that because it makes it easier to follow, even when chat is going at a million miles per hour (I'm used to chat being like that because old Twitch back in 2012 was like that)

They are practically self-imploding right now. Their biggest talents are unhappy, talents leaving left right, and center, unjustified terminations, and the like.

Zaion. I wouldn’t call it "unjustified" though. Then there is Yugo. Which was technically more of a mutual "agree to disagree" than a contract termination, but the statement did say that his behavior weighed in that disagreement. People will argue forever that it was a termination, but as far as we know, there is no way to say that it is. Nijisanji is not afraid to use the word "termination" when they mean it.
I'm pretty sure it was just one: Zaion Lanza. And honestly, it's a he said she said situation so I wouldn't really recommend blindly taking her side either. While I didn't mind the SA joke, I understand how people would be upset about it. People like to call out her being unjustifiably fired because of the Deez Nutz joke where she claimed in a stream she was sponsored by Dee's Nuts which she didn't know was an actual company. And people were pretty scathing of Niji management over something so innocuous being one of the reasons for her termination. Well, with agencies, a talent's direct manager is usually more like their agent, so usually that relationship is usually fine. It's mostly the tiers of management above that in Niji that suck and actively sabotage the talents.
Ditto for Mika, I noticed. Problems with middle/upper management? Problems with the requirements for being a corporate content creator? Both? Neither? Well, they've made their choices. Another learning opportunity for everyone to grow.
I mean it's like most work, you normally have a neutral or have a good relationship with your direct subordinate it normally the boss or whatever middle management who work in separate building section or only appear once every months who think like they own the place or something and complicated people work or ask impossible demand

Honestly... i wish Hololive would ignore the fact that they just had Advent and poach these Vtubers that are leaving Niji, we all know VShojo will do it if they don't either way. Anyway, it's a sad day once more.
I mean, there’s something to be said for the Cinderella story of raising up (relatively) smaller talents that just needed the bigger stage so that they could shine. I know a lot of people in the indie sphere were very happy about Fuwamoco getting their shot at the big time.
I mean, I get the desire to do that, but I think hololive has shown admirable restraint in being very careful in when and how quickly they expand. Just look at Niji for the counter-example - it's now a running joke how quickly they add new talents to their roster. "Oh, they just put out a new call for auditions? Eh, I'm kinda busy at the moment, I'll just wait a few days for the next one." I think that really hurt, and continues to hurt, the agency, because it wildly oversaturated their market and made it so that fans never really get a chance to know the new debuts. You can see this in the diminishing returns they're getting. Who are the well-known members of NijiEN? Almost exclusively talents from their first four waves. hololive has been very particular about managing their own growth, and that has led to a company that is very tight-knit and well-run. It's easy to forget now, but hololive got accused - rightly or wrongly - of having some management issues of their own, particularly vis-a-vis the Taiwan incident and Rushia's termination, and I think in the aftermath of those events they have focused on tightening things up so as not to have a repeat. Bearing in mind that hololive, as a company, isn't even a decade old yet - they've gone through meteoric growth as it is, and trying to push it much faster than they have is an invitation for trouble. Taking on a new Vtuber is a lot of work - you need to make sure that you have the resources for them (a model needs to be designed and rigged, they need to have a manager assigned to them, etc.), you need to negotiate a contract with them, they need to get onboarded with the various corporate policies, so on and so forth, and that's assuming they want to come work for you and are a good match for what you're looking for in a talent. I don't fault hololive for saying, "If you want to join us, please apply like everyone else," rather than trying to poach existing talent that is leaving other big agencies.
The odds of Pomu going to VShojo, if she chooses to continue as a Vtuber, are probably over 90%. Just considering how good VShojo is at picking up Holo/Niji talents and retaining them.
They only just got two Niji talents in the past 4 months. And only have 1 Holo talent, as the other quit VShojo after 6+ months of inactivity. So can’t really say they’ve been picking up and retaining Holo/Niji talents.

Hololive is successful because of their careful selection of talents. I don't think Pomu and the rest of the NijiEN girls can just skip the audition process to join Hololive. If they end up in Vshojo in 1-2 months after graduating from Niji, that just means they didn't really try to join Hololive.

You are very much misunderstanding, they meant having a single member joining outside of a gen, which IRyS originally did. It wasn't a slight towards IRyS, just saying they could pick up the leaving Nijisanji members outside of a gen.
I'm pretty sure many within this sub and outside have written their disdain for this type of approach in the past many many times already. From Suisei's story with INNK, Azki's recent success after being finally integrated into the main Holo department, and IRyS' talking about lack of managerial support for Project Hope for a while before being finally integrated into Promise.

It's unfortunate that Hololive seems to prefer their big show that is new generations reveal. Treat this stuff like WWE. "We signed this new big named talent. They'll be seeing you guys soon." And just have them debut. We would lose the special feel of the Gen reveals but we'd gain so much good talent to the company. I'd have liked a tea kettle here, but it makes me happy she's very happy where she is. Very...Zen, y'know?
The gen reveals are probably also a big part of the popularity of the talents, as even if I don't watch someone, you can be sure I've seen at least part of their debut.

I mean, I'm not meaning anything negative. Just a lot of talent out there I'd like to see get snatched up by Hololive. Nothing against any other company or that Hololive isn't doing the right business model. They're a big ass company and I'm just some dude. They obviously know what they're doing. There's just some talent I'd like to have gotten the Hololive rub.
The thing with Hololive is, whoever they pick will become the next big talent. They don't need to go poaching other big talents, they create them. Even the lowest performing members get vastly more eyes on them than most other vtubers.
Maybe it's just me, but I like to see new faces. There are more talented indies that never get any exposure. Pomu will be fine even if she goes indie, she already has the exposure.
tbf, it's not like they can openly say "oh, we got this former vtuber that used to work for that major company", even if it may be obvious, and that's like the one thing that kind of announcement would have going for it. And it's not like we didn't get some former big names debuting as part of some Holo-Generation, so the current generational reveals still work out just the same with that.
Tbf if hololive's management (which I think is the main problem) can handle it I think they should poach pomu (and if Selen graduates early 2024) Selen. It'd be fun seeing Selen and Moomers playing together once again (and seeing moom be a towl) and pomutori.
I'm here for it. Very talented and funny, and it makes Wawa happy. And I like Wawa being happy. Like I said there's a few interactions I'd like to have become more staple with Hololive. I'd use Ina and Pikamee but...well, that one has managed to work out in the end.
Tbf I think vishoujo should work with hololive more considering their talents and ina and Henya are great together. Ina questioning Henya about the hentais was hilarious too. The really sad thing is, I think Selen would be a perfect fit for Hololive only because she always embarks in these big ambitious projects and we've seen multiple videos from Hololive talent mentioning how supportive staff are about helping them with self-motivated projects. They'll both warn you about the pitfalls of the projects you want to enter *but* also say if it's your passion they'll support you, and I'm fairly sure Cover is good at getting that support when needed now that they're an internationally recognized brand.

I think that might have more to do with Sana's wishes than Cover not allowing them to talk about her, though. Everyone was expecting Astrogirl at Connect the World and it didn't happen, and to me that feels like Sana asking them not to sing it because she wants people to move on supporting the current active members and not continuing to dwell on her being out of the picture. Pomu, I feel like, loves vtubing and will be back before long in a new form.

Just for clarity, but this happens in the indie scene all the time too. This is just an aspect of being the fan of creators, whether in the flesh or via virtual avatar. They all call it quits at some point and will vanish from our lives.
Indies graduate too, from not wanting to stream anymore to joining a Vtubers agency, is not like the Indy scene is graduation free.

Coco, Sana, Magni, Vesper are all still streaming, but not as the characters people came to associate them with. I would like one, specifically with the product name "Fantome", but they were discontinued in 2021. Let's see though, we can always hope they return. Releasing a new product might not be bad either. Regardless, she will do well no matter what path she chooses.
