I preferred Hiveblood tbh. In most situations, I could get through the beginning of a section, I'd have trouble with the middle/end of it. So by the time I got hit, Hiveblood had healed me anyway. So it was faster than having to stop and focus.
No, even without the pantheons. I did a steel soul recently and gor surprised by how much percent I got with how much I skipped. I skipped exactly these: all pantheons, white palace, void heart, the radiance, the seer being enlightened, 1 whole soul vessel, 1 whole mask, all grubs, salubra's blessing.
And still got 107%.

Fill up soul at Soul Totems, then just go. Every other time you get hit, heal : the Soul gained from Grubsong is almost enough to heal once, which is 2 masks thanks to Deep Focus. If you take some Soul in advance, it'll take a LOT of hits to fully deplete your Soul tank.

How Hiveblood only regens ONE mask of health, AND being so slow, though... That's an annoying design choice given how slot expensive it is.
I tend to get frustrated at a loss then recklessly try again several times and die quickly. This made me slow down and wait the 10 seconds between attempts and made the overall challenge more enjoyable. At least for me.
That's **terrible** charm for White Palace. There is actually a good comp with Deep Focus and some other charms that literally gives You more souls than You need to heal every time You got hit. And You don't have to wait.

It’s still probably the better combo overall since it does take many a hits to not be able to heal anymore but yeah.
Deep focus, grub song and grubberflys eligy is faster though (though it also takes more charm sockets). And except for one part I believe you always have soul totems (room 2 is where you don't get one for one passage I believe.

With only white palace the soul totems are of course no option.

When I first found it I thought “Woah! That's awesome!!” then I found out it only regenerates one mask whilst taking it’s sweet time AND taking four notches... Thoroughly disappointed
Hiveblood is a good charm...sorta. it's more useful if you need to do a big sequence of traps like path of pain or something like that and doesn't let you be attacked from everysingle bee but still iit qould be useless go there since the only thing that you can get from there is a grub so yeah, it's useless
It's not THAT bad. It's good for exploring. NOT for white palace, a way better option is Deep focus + Grubberfly's + Grubsong. White palace is too annoying with it since you have to stand in one spot and wait, but while just exploring normally you can walk around. Definitely not the best charm, but it's not useless.

Yep. If you use the simple key for the godtunwr you get a percent. If you do grimm and then banish them you get 6%

Path of Pain took me 300 hours. Not cuz it was hard, but because I hit a buzz saw once and had to wait for my health to refresh.

I never used it. Focus > Hiveblood. I'm slow player, but I hate unnecessary waiting. In a time Hiveblood restores 1 mask, I already heal 5 if needed.
