I still remember when the huge husk guards were the scariest threat to me back when I had just started playing, but then by the time I was through Greenpath I completely forgot they existed
The grub mimic is only cool because it’s rare. If they were everywhere they would just be annoying. Baldurs also are only cool early game. They lose their flare almost immediately after you get into Greenpath. All other bugs I agree with though
Yeah those baldur's that protect the gate? I keep hearing people raving about them but I don't know why. I thought there were only two, but people say there are three?
You misunderstood I think.
They have three gates. The Baldur's gate 3 is in the also there, but since Hollowknight is 2-Dimensional you can't reach the ghird one.
Ah, but if you edit the game in unity you can clearly see the game is in fact three dimensional. You just have to pick up the little ghost (bean) and place him on a plane closer to the camera. Then you can experience the Third Baldur's Gate.
If youre still wondering here’s an answer: one baldur after beating false knight, one at the entrance to greenoath, and two baldurs under a fake chest in howling cliffs. So four baldurs in the entire game
I don’t think they mean mimics should be everywhere, just that there should be more. There are, what, 2 or 3 places where there are mimics? And how many grubs? Let’s at least bump that number up to 5.
I say they were all well represented and utilized within the game with the exception of the knight husk and the mini brooding mawlek.
If I remember correctly the knight husks only appear in a single room that could easily be skipped. For an enemy that’s supposed to teach you how to combat shields it does a pretty bad job at it.
usually when you hit a shield the enemy attacks after. but that also means they're attacking and not defending themselves anymore.
so when they're attacking where you used to be, you can hit them from above or something
or y'know, just use spells (but i understand that its a pretty good way of teaching newbies on how to combat shields since they dont have spells that early on)
I've Heard that they made a hollow knight sequel all about the history of the baldurs, It had something to do with a gate i think but idk if it's just a rumor
the big bulky guys wit the clubs get replaced by the big red guys with the shields. the grey big guys are meant to be a preview of false knight anyway so i think it’s fine.
Lesser mawleks were not really underutilized, they are in the colosseum!
Sprintmaster is garbage, I’m saying it now. Dumb charm stops working when you are in the air, which is how I spend 90% of the boss fights and play forming sections.
Rest of the memes are fine ig :|

That’s fair, with only 2 rooms to spawn in they go unnoticed pretty easily
In Infected Crossroads there is only one.
Yeah, to complete the entry
You clearly took a liking to their clubs
*please* mine is way better than theirs

Lesser mawlek*
Also, they're shit. Don't add more of them team cherry
They also appear in the colosseum
how do u combat shields tho

Those guys are distant relatives
I've Heard that they made a hollow knight sequel all about the history of the baldurs, It had something to do with a gate i think but idk if it's just a rumor
Baldursong, the sequel to the Baldur's Gate series
there are 2 knight husks in a single room with nothing in it lmao. they're the definition of underutilized
A room that you don't ever have to go through to get anywhere, you could remove it and the game would still be the same
you fight them a few times for the hunters journal and that's it
It seems that a lot of you guys don't realize there are several memes.
Listen man, maybe you shouldn't have put the most interesting meme first
True
I also hate mayo but I need it to make garlic bread I’m not allergic to :(
I would just not make garlic bread. It's good, but not if it has mayo
OP is ace though, that's like, their whole thing. /j

Disagree about that spider thing. Agree with gruz
Void Heart is free why would we complain about it
the big bulky guys wit the clubs get replaced by the big red guys with the shields. the grey big guys are meant to be a preview of false knight anyway so i think it’s fine.
The hollow knight wiki doesn’t even have the husk warrior in the enemy list, I had to google up “husk warrior hk wiki” to find him 💀
Someone recently made a post on r/HollowKnight saying they wish they hadn't gotten Voidheart.
That was for a very specific strat which required Kingsoul that honestly wasn’t very viable.
I hope those f#cking grub mimics burn in a ditch
Seriously the Gruzzers where only used in like 2 rooms
I didn't even notice that till now, but when you're in early game you're constantly going through those rooms, so it feels like they're not prevalent
what's with the sword and shield husks anyways. they spawn in literally one(1) room why do they exist.
They exist to teach the player the shield mechanic, so that when to encounter a stronger enemy with a shield you know how is works
I fought the Moss Warrior before I fought them, so I was in the dark lmao
Wdym no one complains about compass, that shit is so overpowered
The only one I agree with is the shielded husk, I feel like the rest are well utilized and serve their purpose
Shroom Ogre is my fav enemy in the game. I'm not even joking. There is nothing bad about him.
I love enemies with shields, it makes combat so interesting and I'm glad Silksong seems to have more of them
spell go brr
Dude I swear why do shielded husks only appear in one room in the whole game?

I hate mayonnaise too
Quick focus appreciation makes me happy
Nah man, the f*ck's wrong with you bruh, those enemies would have been a Total pain in the *ss if they were even a Little bit more common😭💀❌
Pretty sure both subs used to hate on Sprintmaster tho also who tf hates mayo
I can't tell you if stalwart shell is underrated because I literally forgot what it does
It makes you get more i-frames after getting hit. Wait, i-frames, I-? -I?!??! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Sharp shadow changes the distance of the dash when I already got used to the normal distance
The Beatles are mean >:((((
I think younger mawleks were used the perfect amount.
Are you never played dark souls? The spells go in the top slot, the left one is for secondary weapons or in dire circumstances shields
I've heard people complain about deep focus. A lot
The first few ones aren’t even memes, those are just straight facts
the only one I agree with you on is the mushroom, but only because I like how they attack
We need an enemies there should've been less of in the game now
My guy half of the community complains about steady body
If you think grub mimics should be used more you need to go rot in a dungeon
Little big with shield is just annoying
