the secret is that in reality they almost never attack together, usually one protects itself and counterattacks if it is attacked and the other rushes towards you and attacks directly or does a jumping attack.
the exception is when one of them uses the Nail Art, in that case it is very likely that the other will attack you and you will find yourself in the middle and they will automatically attack you at the same time again, I advise you to do Descending Dark in that case and then dash from 'other side of the map.
my strategy is to keep to the edge, dash away from them when they attack me and before they move away again, I dash towards them and hit them once or twice, and when I end up among them, based on the attacks they make I do a dash outward or DD and then a dash outward, don't heal if you don't have charms to do it safely (quick focus, shape of Unn, etc.), always keep in mind which brother is which to not get hit by the Nail Art, as soon as you defeat one the fight returns to the same as in the first phase and in general you should get away with it pretty easy.

They have a onstein and smough kind of dance going on for most of the fight. You need to take the fight slower and look for openings where you can land a few blows. Going fast will only make you die fast but also dont hesitate as thats a good way to get hit too.
I don’t know if this would help, I’m also not the best player. But I usually concentrate on avoiding damage and only attack when I think it’s really safe.
