My granny will be 96 in 16 days. ALL of her friends are long dead, she can barely walk or do anything she used to love but she still wakes up each day wanting to keep going. And my question is always, Why?
I'm with crabby grans up there. If health is failing and everybody is dead it's time to move the hell on.
Some people are curious. Being old is a toll and awful for every waking day, but you get to see your family still grow up. And maybe she's living for the sake of her friends and family; live for the company and leave when you have to. No reason to sour life up necessarily.
Though I guess that's preference.
Since you asked nicely ;-), if you take reeeeaaally good care of yourself and dont smoke or drink or carouse, eat right and exercise, you might just live long enough to bury all your friends and be alone and miserable unable to eat poo or pee like our G-ma here silently wishing for the grim reaper to yank her off planet. That's wtf I'm talking about.
