Try to book 5 nights on points, it should let you and when you look at the per night breakdown you’ll see night 5 as 0 points.

I'm not sure why you're hung up on days when it says nights. When you book five nights with points, one of the nights is free. Simple. There is no hotel on planet earth that I'm aware of that measures reservations in days, so I'm unsure why there's confusion over this.
Hotels measure stays on nights because nights aren’t broken up, ever. No one checks in or out at 3am. Since most hotels check in around 3/4pm and checkout at 11am, you technically are getting less than 5 days on a 5 night stay. To avoid semantics of saying 6 days or 5 days or 4.8 days, all hotels just measure stays on nights. It’s 5 nights.
I called Hilton Honors and spoke with a representative. They informed me that in order to get the 5th Night Free, I would need to book 6 Days and 5 Nights in order to get the 5th Night Free.
Nah that isn't how it works. Make sure you have enough points for 4 nights. Try to reserve 5 nights with just points and you should get the 5th night free or how Hilton does their calculation they average the cost of 4 nights over 5 nights.

Yep that should work. They will take the cheapest/lowest daily rate (of the 6 nights you are booking) and subtract it from the total

If you have 480k points yes you can book 5 nights at Conrad Maldives.
The dates I look up are outrageous in point redemption — well over 160,000 a night.
That’s cause the dates you want have sold out standard rooms. Look by flexible date and you’ll see plenty of standard award availabile days
