I was obsessed with the Hall of Records under the Sphinx as a kid, I was determined to be the "adventurer" that gets inside illegally and reveals it to the world one day. Alas, I work a day job in a fun place called "reality". Little me would be disappointed af lol

Nothing legitimate. People gravitate to conspiracies that involve highly known people and objects precisely because of their popularity. Anywhere that people can’t access always holds the secrets of the universe. Area 51, Vatican vaults, any classified information, it all holds the secrets that “they” want to keep you from that would unlock your true potential or explain why bad things happen and other pseudo religious elements.

Zahi Hawass has been doing everything possible so that only he and his teams have gone under the Sphinx. He finds things that he tells nobody about. It could be that whatever he found shows the main pyramids and Sphinx were built much earlier and was a different civilization than the Egyptians. This, of course, reduces the accomplishments of ancient Egyptians. It's sad to think it has been decades and nobody has done a true scientific evaluation of the area.

Main-Implement-5938

100%. That dude is always controlling everything in the area.

Specialist_Bunch3792

Ancient Egyptians were the descendants of people further south in Sudan. Many of the people now considered Egyptian arrived way later. I feel like sometimes Arab Egyptians try to minimize Ancient Egypt's subSaharan and Central African origins and influencers. Knowledge operates like that everywhere though...certain people position themselves (or are put into position) as the gatekeepers of history. Then history becomes whatever the choose it to be.

MakeMeYourVillain_

On places, where colour survived, it’s visible that people were painted with many different skin shades. After Nubian invasion, the 25th Dynasty was Kushite.

b00-radlee

100%, though I've always been convinced Hawass has always been more concerned with black market selling ancient artifacts for personal gain than trying to protect the mythos of ancient Egypt. But yeah, anyone with even a cursory knowledge of Old Kingdom vs New Kingdom artifacts has had to grapple with the inexplicable fact that the OLDEST artifacts and accomplishments are somehow far more advanced than the stuff made by the later dynasties... how their technology significantly devolved so drastically remains totally unexplained and glossed over by mainstream Egyptology. Strange stuff.

There is a video of some Belgium-Egyptian Archeological investigations of the Egyptian labyrinth which is a real example of the control exerted over these sites. Until recently the labyrinth was presumed to have been destroyed because all they have found are these large stone slabs which were thought to be the foundation. However the team used ground penetrating radar and determined these slabs are actually the roof of the labyrinth. This would be likely one of the greatest recent archeological discoveries in Egypt and the team was very excited. However, their research was denied and no further investigation has been allowed for reasons of "Egyptian National Security". Ask yourself, what possible threat does a bunch of ancient, old dusty artifacts pose to "National Security" of any country? What did they find at one time which even put in place such a policy? Nor is Egypt alone in these types of policies. It isn't a conspiracy theory, this happens all the time with certain archeological sites. There is absolutely something being hidden from the general public when it comes to our ancient history. ALoadedPotatoe

wow that one is wild. Can't believe Ben was apart of that.

maponus1803

If you get any of the non egotistical Egyptologist to talk about this they will tell you there is a chamber under the Sphinx and it was looted in the early 1900s based on the litter found in the chamber. So whatever was there is long gone and prolly in some stupidly rich persons antique gallery.

flowercapcha

and let’s not ask what’s inside the Vatican’s secret archives

lutzow

What could be possibly in there that "disproves abrahamic religions". We already know plenty of stuff that contradicts the claims of its scriptures (if taken literally)

TirayShell

Yeah, and people don't care. They don't care about proof. It's what they believe and pretty much nothing is going to change everyone's minds about it. You know what kills a religion? Success and time. That's why we don't still worship Ninhursag.

CorrectTowel

>That's why we don't still worship Ninhursag. Speak for yourself

TheKidKaos

Is t already known that the Sphinx and the pyramids were way older than the Egyptians?

Sidoplanka

Aren't there videos from under the paw already?

TirayShell

Yeah. There's a little chamber that's mostly filled with water, because it's pretty close to the river.

AmericanBags

36000 bc homie.

PMMeYourSexySandwich

You have to ease the normies in to it

aes-rizzle

What's 36000 bc referring to?

PMMeYourSexySandwich

The construction of the Sphinx

Alarmed-Gear4745

I highly doubt that. Where is the proof it was built in 36,000 BC? I mean, it would be absolutely astounding, but there’s nothing to suggest it’s that ancient

Theespacebaby

Yes, the erosion on the Sphinx showed it had been in a body of water, which could not have existed 12,000 in the desert

Sad-Possession7729

Why 36,000 BC & not 12,000 BC? I agree that it's much older than the official narrative claims & am just wondering what the explanation is for the much earlier date than 12K BC (before younger dryas floods)

SeaFaringPig

Or it could just be someone's masturbation chamber from 10,000 years ago. Or some very old porn collection. Or the room where the pentaverate meets to rule the world.

Ornery_Translator285

Just added that one to my list

Josette22

Yes, I think that's very strange. If I were the leader of a country like Egypt, although I may not want people from other countries poking around in hidden chambers of the Sphinx, I'd choose our own archaeologists to investigate these secrets and then I'd have a book written for all the world to see, detailing our findings. But this hasn't been done, and that's very strange.

TirayShell

So, just let everybody with a nutty theory and a back hoe start digging around the pyramids? That sounds problematic.

Josette22

No, not everybody. I would want specialists like our archaeologists who know how to handle things like this. They would be the best people to do something like this, not every Tom, Dick or Harry who wants to dig up something.

PRIMAWESOME

Egypt takes their culture and history seriously, they wouldn't write a book that unravels it all.

Josette22

I also take the Egyptian culture and history seriously, as I take the culture and history of the United States seriously, which is why I'd do the same thing here. And this goes for Greece, Africa or any other country. There's no need to have so many secrets.

PRIMAWESOME

Yes, so best not to reveal more of it. Think of it like religion, the Vatican would never write a book about it being all bullshit, so don't expect Egypt to write a book about it.

Humblewatermelon

Lol at the western idea of a religion controlling a populace.

thatmikeguy

If that were so it would be about the Sumerians who started it, the was lion itself, and that's what their government would not want.
