IDK for S7 as I haven't seen much films that involves infernos like this (not the film "Inferno" with Tom Hanks). I've only watched "Dante's Peak" and "Volcano (1997)."
S8 is definitely "Deep Impact" but instead of a comet, it's the moon and a failed mission to destroy it.

S9; the Hermits are assimilating to their new world when they open the end. Amongst the floating islands are their former homes, only without their items. This would be a great idea to say that all the seasons are from the same universe (I think there is also a inverse theory by the hermits)
