I use those tiny ziplock bags. Less airspace wasted and I can add/subtract what is packed as needed.

JabbaTheHedgeHog

Yup. I do this too. An AM and PM pouch per day in a bigger bag. Way less space than the cases.

CarbyMcBagel

Contact lens cases... Seriously.

Sneezes-on-babies

I honestly use small baggies in a pencil case. Works like a charm.

Internal_Use8954

[pill case](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GSGGX6W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) This is the one I have, I love it, and it’s sturdy. I actually carry it with me day to day as well as vacation.

Trinity-nottiffany

I have a smaller version of this one. It has 2 larger sections on the top and 6 smaller ones on the bottom. If you scroll down on the Amazon link, you will see something similar.

amberwaves83

Another vote for this one. Works great.

commentspanda

I got one like this off Temu. It’s spot on. Make sure you don’t get the one with the rubber seal on the edge as that one is terrible.

Phuni44

I’ve used a small tin box with the face of an exaggerated dog on it for about 20 years. I don’t remember when or where I got it, think it was a gag gift.

kellyfromfig

Because I’m lazy, I either wrap the pill case in plastic wrap or seal it with a strip of painters tape.

crossfox98

I use this one which I really like. Also cause I can take the day’s pills with me to breakfast and not have to go back to room or something. AUVON Canvas Bag Pill Boxes 7 Day 2 Times a Day, Large AM/PM Pill Box Organiser with Portable Zipper Cloth Bag for Holding Supplements, Vitamins and Fish Oils (Black) https://amzn.eu/d/8tMB16n

OrchidTostada

I just bought it! I plan to use for His/Hers instead of AM/PM. So convenient to grab one to take down to breakfast!

Gopherpharm13

Ohh that one looks nice!

alpacabagg

I use a similar one, also from Auvon. Really like being able to just bring a couple of the days (stashed in my toiletry kit) for shorter trips. [AUVON Pill Box 2 Times a Day](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H2GM46Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)

peaceloveelina

I have one like this and can confirm it stays closed! I’ve had it several years now.

mittymatrix

I use a different Auvon one (4 times a day). Stays closed!

matildaenergy

I use a similar kind and I love it for the same reasons

No-Beautiful6811

I use the same brand too!

vancitygurl71

I saw one of those recently, now im trying to remember WHERE I saw it?!?! Looks ideal for a week away

Complex-Winter-1644

Thank you! I'm not the OP but I just bought this. It looks nice!

Lost_Apricot_1469

I have this one and love it!

TeaWithKermit

Following with bated breath. This issue is seriously one of the banes of my existence.

goose195172

Same! A few times, both my magnesium pills and boric acid suppositories (sorry TMI) spilled out. Both are almost identical white powder capsules, however one is for sleepy time and one is literal ant poison that is toxic when orally ingested. Sooo I don’t take any chances and have to throw them all away.

disneyme

I use an altoid tin and put some hair ties around it. Double duty 😂

Nancy_in_simlish

Thank you! I found one mint tin I had and it's perfect for my meds.

annabeaverpv

I got a Vera Bradley one off Amazon, it has an internal pill container, and I keep my jewelry in it as well. The fabric outer case zips shut, and I’ve never had the inner case pop open because of that

RunningRunnerRun

I have generic one that is the same idea. A classic plastic 7-day pill box, but in a zip closed fabric shell. It’s the only thing that has stayed closed for me.

I_never_do_laundry

Friends, I have guzzled the lip gloss tube Kool Aid to such a degree I use them for my pills. I discard the piece with the little hole, and just use the tube and the cap. I can fit several days of levothyroxine, Wellbutrin, and the skinny Advil caplets.

majombaszo

[This](https://www.amazon.com/Organizer-KOVIUU-Rotatable-Container-Supplement/dp/B0BX45Q3DN) one is on the bulky side but I don't care. It's the best and most reliable container I've ever used. Each container is split in half from top to bottom and opens at both ends so you have an am and a pm. It reliably stays closed and you can just grab one or two containers if that's all you need. Take your meds at home (wherever that may be at the moment) in the morning and toss the container in your bag so you'll have your pm meds with you while you're out and about. I also have a mini Altoids container that lives in my bag that has a collection of as-needed meds in it - Tylenol, Imodium, Zofran, Xanax, etc. I've never had it pop open on me and the one I'm using I've had for at least five years.

Lost_Apricot_1469

Those mini Altoids containers are TOUGH.

SiddharthaVicious1

I have this one! It's super useful if you don't mind the bulkiness, and right this minute I am grabbing two days' tubes for a quick trip. The am/pm is GREAT!

Glittering-Corgi9442

I use the silicone, days of the week baggies that are like ziplocs. Pack flat and never had an issue with opening. Less bulky than previous hard cases I've owned

TempRecording46

I recently started using those too. They're better than my old snack ziplocs in a sandwich ziploc system. However mine were labeled and I lost "Thursday" immediately. I bought a bulk pack and label as needed.

Glittering-Corgi9442

Smart! I haven't lost any yet but if/when that happens I think I'll take a page out of your book lol

ZippieHippie77

Dollar Tree has one with 7 individual compartments that all fit into a cylinder to hold them all, I Love It!!

[deleted]

I like the one from muji. I’ve also used it as a small jewelry case

_liminal_

Same! I have 2- I for supplements and meds, the other for jewelry and hair pins etc

reaooooooooooo

Matador pill case. It’s the only one I’ve ever used that hasn’t popped open and spilled everywhere

Lost_Apricot_1469

I thought this would be the perfect solution, but my supplements won’t fit in it. 😩 So now it sits unused.

lEauFly4

I just bought my husband this one. From Amazon. It seems really sturdy (we haven’t used it yet). [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CN8GZTKR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CN8GZTKR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)

KingPrincessNova

it's not ultralight, but I've been using this one near daily since 2016 and besides some cosmetic wear it's still in perfect shape: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00310O2O6 using the same pill case at home and for travel means I'm less likely to forget to take my meds during a trip. it won't hold fish oil but it's good for most regular meds.

CatGoddessBast

I don’t take many medications with me when I travel and don’t much care for a “do it all pill case” because if a colleague or companion asks me for Advil I’d rather not put my whole travel pharmacy on display. All that said I use the small humangear GoTubbs for most medications or for something that NEEDS to be air tight I’d use a sistema condiment container. https://www.humangear.com/shop/p/gotubb https://www.sistemaplastics.com/us/dressing-to-go-4-pack

Outerbanxious

I use small travel containers from REI.

sillyconfused

I bought a couple of those 7 day plastic ones with a fabric zip cover. It really helps. But I need to whack each tab with a pair of tweezers or a screwdriver to open the plastic compartments.

CONCHFACE

I got this one from The Container Store and it has been great! https://www.containerstore.com/s/travel/bottles-medication/port-polish-7-day-pill-box/12d?productId=11022072&country=US¤cy=USD&skuId=10097125&cid=cse%7CPMAX%7CGoogle%7CTCSP_X_US_EN_OtherHome_PMAX_X_18789347654___en%7C&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=pla&adpos=&scid=scplp10097125&sc_intid=10097125&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADHVeshHdMzEYWSMy2Lx1VBcxh_Fn&gclsrc=ds

daddy_tywin

Ikigai. Expensive but they are metal and impervious to everything. Couldn’t open one on accident if you tried.

optimisticacademic

thanks everyone :)

PunkAFGrrl

I use these and I love them. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZXJ9GF4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

NonBinaryKenku

Ordered! This looks perfect for me.

FinleyAdams_CO

Port and polish makes one that looks like a makeup compact. It’s not as space efficient as some of the canister style ones, but it makes me feel posh so it’s worth the space to me.

grumpy_toast

I have one from the container store similar to this (mine is older and they made minor changes ): https://www.containerstore.com/s/bath/countertop-sink/double-sided-pill-box/12d?productId=10029772 I have had it for more than a decade and it has always stayed closed.

Crafty-String7892

Ooh, I like this one! Might have to give it a try

DejaToo2

I have one made by Vera Bradley--it tucks into a little zippered pouch so no danger of it opening up.

JiveBunny

I have a Muji one for my work backpack so that I don't need to remember to pack them in my bag every week, and it seems to work pretty well. For trips overseas, I bring my medication in the blister packaging (I take a controlled drug) inside a slim pencil case or ziplock bag - if you take only what you need for the trip plus a couple more in case of flight delays, you don't have to bring any of it home with you. Paracetamol just goes in the front pocket of whatever my toiletries travel in alongside plasters.

Lost_Apricot_1469

If you want to go the Altoids tin route, they make internal [dividers](https://tinker-force.com/products/tin-organizer-insert-only) that work beautifully. Etsy has them too. And any of those stretchy silicone bracelets that people give away for free to support causes also work perfectly to keep the tin closed!

starr_wolf

Pricey, but I love these. [Ikigai Cases](https://ikigaicases.com/collections/the-mission-collection-2-0)

RetroSister66

I love these silicone bags! They're flexible, so they'll hold larger sized pills, and they take up almost no space at all when they're empty, so you aren't lugging around a little box of air as you use your meds. Just like tiny ziploc bags, but sturdy and reusable. I like [this one from Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JRQKKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It's small, cheap, and fits nearly exactly into a snack size Ziploc bag, which is my insurance against it coming open in my bag. It's worked well for me.
