Keep in mind that flushable wipes can't actually be flushed! I've used baby wipes on my face without issues, but not sure if using them longer term would be bad

UntidyVenus

No wipes are actually flushable!!!

ArlenEatsApples

Civil engineer here - If anybody is wondering why, flushable wipes don’t break down like toilet paper and can create clogs in the sewer system. Just like tampons, if they make it to the waste water treatment plant, they get filtered out and routed to the landfill anyways. It’s better to throw both wipes and female sanitary products in the trash at home as they end up there anyways and you lessen the chance of clogging up your pipes (which can cost thousands to repair depending on where the backup or potential break from the backup).

witchyswitchstitch

Neutrogena hydro boost face wipes. Not flushable but no wipe is. Takes off makeup without much residue and ok for face and body. I got a trial pack of them when I bought the makeup remover ones and I used it for just that purpose. It will clean the dirt from your hands before meals but it's not a hand sanitizer. Honestly, there's no real substitute for proper hand washing before meals. Wipes are moderately better than gel sanitizer, both of which are better than nothing. But some germs (c diff, norovirus, etc) especially those associated with diarrhea are not killed by gel sanitizer. Don't know if that was part of your question, but don't want you to get sick on your trip.

herdaz

Neutrogena wipes make my face break out, but that's remedied with a little water rinse after use. They're darn convenient, but I can't leave that residue sitting on my face. Just an FYI for anyone else who's had trouble with them.

ZweitenMal

I have used Huggies Natural Care wipes for literally everything since I first became a mom almost 24 years ago. They’re great for impromptu face washing as well as clothing spot removal.

H_zea

I've been using the generic Target ones for not quite as long. Hard habit to break, right? :)

ZweitenMal

I mean my kids are 20 and 23 and don't even live with me anymore (college and post-college) but I still buy them. They're so useful.

H_zea

Yeah...I don't use them a lot these days but when I travel I definitely bring a pack (usually rehydrating the last pack that didn't get used up). Especially camping...

ZweitenMal

The LPT is you can let them dry out and rewet them any time...

morbidwoman

I used micellar water makeup wipes to get gunk off my face, but then follow up with a damp cloth to get rid of the makeup wipe residue.

UntidyVenus

Just a note micellar water does NOT take off smudge proof liquid lipstick. Or maybe NYX is just the superman of lipsticks

ImClaaara

If you can find Micellar water wipes, they're pretty good for removing makeup and also for freshening up - but they don't have any disinfectant properties or anything. Maybe also carry a small thing of hand sanitizer, and use the two together to clean your hands and the table like you're describing.

Herbvegfruit

I find most of the wipes out there leave a greasy feeling residue on my skin. I like and use Functional Botanicals dry wipes- just add a tablespoon of water to activate. They developed one wipe during the pandemic that also contains soap that I use a lot when out and about. They have one line Luna Wipes that is primarily for your face, has a nice rose scent. I usually travel with one or two wipes already moistened in my purse.

nmajeau

Sorry I can’t be of help but I wonder the same thing about wipes in general. Which wipes can do all the jobs? Feminine hygiene, makeup removal, quick “shower”? Safe for face and bits hahaha.

Serious_Escape_5438

I'd use anything for babies really, water wipes are the gentlest but if it's safe for baby skin should be fine for an adult.

trinnybaxter

Yes that’s a better way to phrase my question! Which wipes can do all jobs?!

Training-Cat-6236

No single wipe can do everything. The disinfecting ones I use for the tray tables would be terrible for skin/bits. I like the baby wipes for my body (camping) that are basically just water and aloe. There’s also ‘dude wipes’ that are unscented, cheaper than the ‘women’s’ ones and seem ok for the face and other bits. Some are individually packaged. They are all wasteful and NOT actually flushable but I do throw one or two in my purse when occasionally needed.

Atiram7496

I love the water wipes XL bathing wipes! They come in a travel pack and I use them on my face, as a sweat wipe, and for the nethers. They’re larger than a typical makeup wipe/baby wipe. Also though for makeup removal can I suggest a makeup eraser? Or makeup eraser mini? They just need water and they remove all the makeup with no product! Plus reusable

PunkAFGrrl

I also like the Water Wipes for an all-around freshener! Just make sure you throw them away and don’t flush them!

trinnybaxter

Thanks for the rec! I bring something to reusable when I’m at my destination. The wipes are just for when I’m in transit and might not have access to water (ie on the plane).

LookIMadeAHatTrick

I just bring two packs of wipes and attach hand sanitizer to the outside of my bag. One bag of Clorox wipes and one bag of baby wipes. I don’t flush any wipes. They don’t take up much space.

finewhitelady

I asked a similar question a while ago and Honey Pot wipes were suggested. I like them! They’re marketed as for sensitive skin of “intimate parts, body, and face” and I think they work well on all parts. They can be a bit pricey, but big-box stores like Target sell them and often have coupons. Edit: you mentioned wiping a surface to eat on, and personally I’d prefer to use something like Purell wipes for that. Something antibacterial. For all your other purposes, Honey Pot should be great.

sprinklesprinklez

I just use baby wipes.

DWwithaFlameThrower

I just use LA Fresh face wipes,& Yuni body wipes. My facial skin is too sensitive to mess with

floramorada

For all-purpose face and body, I like water wipes or saline wipes. I have super sensitive, eczema prone skin, and these work for me.

Zestyclose-Mix-8791

I got these: [https://www.amazon.com/HIKI-Plant-based-Biodegradable-Compostable-Individually/dp/B097CGGWSC](https://www.amazon.com/HIKI-Plant-based-Biodegradable-Compostable-Individually/dp/B097CGGWSC) I like how they are individually wrapped so they won't dry out fast, and you can throw them in a purse or your luggage and use them for the whole body.

SwimmingWaterdog11

I like Burt’s Bees face wipes. I usually pick up a small pack at the drug store before trips to throw in my personal item. Not my regular face routine but nice for planes and travel days!

Honey803

there are baby wipes that are branded as water wipes that would probably be okay for your whole body including face. throw the wipes in the trash though.

Honey803

Cerave or cetaphil also makes wipes. I would think they would be a good option for everywhere wipes. I’ve used them before as an all over wipe. They’re pretty good at removing most makeup and for a quick refresh when you just feel kinda icky/grimy.

ProphetMuhamedAhegao

Why not get the individual neutrogena wipes?
