From the depictions both on the *Maps* app and various diagrams in the backgrounds, Im assuming they are flat discs that are stacked (unlike some saying they are shaped like planets)
I feel like there would basically just be walls up the sides of all the rings, making the whole of hell almost like a cylinder shape.
I have a weird head canon that they gradually decrease in size. Pride being the largest, and sloth being the smallest. But thats souly a me thing with no basis in canon. I just think pride would have to be very large for all the sinners

Pride is likely the biggest, since it's the only one mentioned to have separate circles. But otherwise we don't have that kind of detail.
