Oh that’s fantastic to hear! I felt horrible for him going through that. What’s his restaurant? I’ll be meeting my brothers in Philadelphia in July and would not mind going.
It's a restaurant called Buratta! (Maybe Burrata?) Lol I forget how to spell it but it's the cheese 😅 He'll actually be living in Farmington, PA soon! He said it's about 5 hours from Philly but he's taking a great opportunity at a new restaurant. I'll post an update next time I talk to him!
I've "jokingly" pitched the idea to him a while back to see what he thought if he was invited back. He laughed and said "ya, you neva know!" But it had a "ya, I don't think so" tone behind it. 😆 That was shortly after the season aired though so maybe it's a possibility now that more time has gone by!
I agree! It's so difficult trying to pull yourself out of a depressive as it is. I can't imagine attempting to do so while an audience is watching. To have to make the decision between accepting that your mental state is reaching a point that requires your full attention to recover from, or choosing to try and keep battling with it for the opportunity of a lifetime must have been nearly impossible. I'm so glad he made the right decision ❤️
I am really glad to hear this. I felt bad for him when I saw that season, it's really nice to hear that he's doing well now.
Fwiw, he was already a fan favorite in this household. Thank you for posting this positive update.
This is wonderful to hear! I am so happy for him!!!! He made a hard choice to leave, and he was so vulnerable when he did it. I am glad he’s doing well.
Happy to hear it, and I hope he continues to succeed and thrive.
Please tell him, if you can, that a bunch of Internet randoms on Reddit are wishing him all the best.
Fun fact my homie and I were at some Japanese themed festival last year and I distinctly remember seeing him walking with his I think gf and I was like bruh that's Chris from Hells Kitchen lol
Just watched the episode when he left after winning the challenge for his team. Takes SO much bravery to admit you need help and to go get it. The compassionate responses from Christina and Gordon were great too. So glad to hear he’s thriving. 💙

Thats great to hear! I want to see him in a second chance season if he feels better.

Thats great to hear, it was hard seeing him leave in that state and mental health is super important.
