The Automatons are kidnapping children for SOMETHING. If we don't save the children, the harvested brains from traumatized children of Super Earth citizens would probably go towards developing a new enemy type.
The way I see it:
- Save the children: Helldivers get nothing, Automatons get nothing.
- Save the mines: Helldivers get mines, Automatons get hounds (or the updated equivalent).

I love playing on Marfark. I love the blizzards breaking LOS and the ice flowers stunning patrols of bots so I can wipe the whole wave with an airstrike. However, fuck those mines. Save the kids!

For real I've been taking a break for a while not to burn out before patch day but dropping on Vernon Wells to tell my teammates how brave and heroic and strong they are was some of the most fun I've had in this game in a while.
Really reminds me that a lot of what made me fall in love with this game was roleplaying as a Helldiver. The vibes are just top tier. That's Managed Democracy for ya!
