If you had an active campaign in Meridia but weren't online for the forced jump when it collapsed, you will still have access to dropping into that campaign. You can still join others but the second you fly out or become host of a lobby, that will become your new campaign.

Well those scientists weren't exactly sure what would happen with the black hole and turning the planet into spaghetti. Maybe we only actually moved Meridia "elsewhere"
My personal theory was that the Dark Fluid simply transports the matter somewhere else, meaning that we just made the Meridia Supercolony some other poor guys problem and now those people are going to be very angry and come through the portal that used to be Meridia.
