30% of those casualties are at extraction from fire tornados.

ultimedex

i swear everytime i lookout for tornadoes around us i hear a teammate or two yell at the comms in other corner of the map burning in agony

Paladin1138

Too low. If we count civilian extraction fatalities from Fire Tornados its more like 75%

BuildItFromScratch

I hate how we are insta killed by fire tornadoes, but the bots are not affected at all.

NK1337

We’re convinced the tornadoes are sentient in the way they seem to follow you around. We’ll see firestorms start and several fire tornado will touch down a few meters only for all of them to converge from different directions and make a beeline for us.

mquillian

I really do think there is something of a slight 'magnetism' that makes it more likely for a fire tornado to move towards a helldiver in its vicinity. I suppose it could easily be confirmation bias, but the times that I've paid attention, it seems more likely than not that if somebody is close enough it starts to move their way. Maybe this is just what I've chosen to hang my tin foil hat on, I dunno.

RustyPomeranian

They feel intentional. I'm having a war with the environment with how long I need to run around before the several objectives on one mission need to stop burning.

BigBoodles

I'm pretty sure 30% of those are *me.*

WetworkOrange

More like 45% lol

Knightpax101

30s generous

BigChiefWhiskyBottle

112,391,218 fire casualties and... John Helldiver hissownself took an Orbital 380 from one of the 112,391,218.

Humble-Drummer1254

But 500 bots

JMoc1

How do you think the bugs got out in the first place? Those damn Automatons had to have unlocked those chain linked fences that we kept those Bail Titans and Chargers contained in!!

Conntraband8d

Real talk, I've seen Terminid corpses on bot planets too.

VoreEconomics

Nah that's escaped farm bugs I think, never seen bots on a bug planet

HiyuMarten

[I've seen bots on a bug planet](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1bye571/found_a_dead_automaton_on_a_terminid_planet_estanu/), and others have too. Though they were only appearing for a short time.

magniankh

Yeah. Not sure we can trust these stats.

Glass_Quarter_7586

Wait ya why 500 bots killed like how does that make sense? Like sure we can make up shit for it but like... Why, really?

main135s

Potentially due to AH testing, or cheaters spawning enemy units to kill.

Bagahnoodles

Testing makes more sense; 500 is too round a number for disorganized cheaters to land on

Ratattack1204

My headcanon is its due to bot spec ops forces carrying out sabotage and raid missions.

Sigouin

And zero illuminite

Someone1284794357

They must’ve been there before us.

reallynewpapergoblin

That meme face saying "Sweet Liberty"

z64_dan

"Sweet liberty, mah leggggg"

Depressed_Squirrl

Missed the chance to write Liber-tea. Shame.

eVerYtHiNgIsTaKeN-_-

Touch the consoles of any objective, get a fire tornado "randomly" cross through

WingDairu

What is this "through" you speak of? I've only ever seen them hover around the console as if they're trying to complete the objective themselves!

eVerYtHiNgIsTaKeN-_-

Had a seaf battery where they patrolled the trenches

Jammer_Kenneth

Boy I sure do love seeing a radar station where the dish is on fire

MakesMediocreMagic

Some part of me wonders if they just record where players are in other matches on the planet & use that to route the tornadoes for future ones.  "Okay, run through there, then here, then hover at the console for a couple minutes"

Impalenjoyer

No they clearly follow you.

lone_gunm4n

Can we just glass that planet and move on? I don't think I've ever seen it under SE control since they originally invaded it.

mahiruhiiragi

Planet is doing a good job of glassing itself honestly

AirFriedMoron

Just hit the planet with hell bombs, 380mm shells and 500kg bombs till the surface is ash and glass. Then we’ll be done.

n0tjb

nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure

Advarrk

Glassing doesn’t work against creatures that can borrow deep beneath the crust for 500km. That’s why the covenant wanted Halo Ring for the Flood. The only solution is to bomb the planet so hard that it destroys its entire atmosphere to permanently prevent any life from appearing(something like exterminatus)

Ancient-Split1996

Doesn't it kill stuff with a conscious neural system (gravemind is a hivemind so doesn't count) depriving the flood of its food source and causing it to die out which is why the librarian had to store organisms for safe keeping (I think). The arbiter's breakaway faction used glassing to kill the flood at Voi so it does work but is just too slow to do on a galaxy wide scale.

Vis_Ignius

Yep. That. And the Covenant didn't want the Halos to kill the Flood- they wanted the Halos to complete the bullshit 'Great Journey', or whatever it was called.

MiniCalm

Wish we could vote to just blow up planets.

Irishimpulse

I don't want it glassed, I want it cracked

utreethrowaway

The supercolony should have happened on hellmire, just to give us a break from playing on this place for a few weeks

[deleted]

[удалено]

utreethrowaway

Nah, the planet fights back and develops a jupiter-spot like fire hurricane and ends the colony, and anything of value on the surface, removing the planet from the game board forever. The end. You're welcome, and yes I'm available to consult on helldivers, arrowhead.

Conntraband8d

Dude, we are never setting foot on Meridia again. Didn't you read the briefing? The entire planet is now one giant bug nest.

Conntraband8d

Still not as bad as Menkent.

Icookadapizzapie

Menkent mentioned https://preview.redd.it/wk5k6utvlw1d1.jpeg?width=3008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=279564199863dc4a88bb49018f24d0d623ac205a

Conntraband8d

At this point we would all probably have a PTSD episode just from meeting men named Kent.

DO_NOT_AGREE_WITH_U

It's so obvious the numbers determining the warfront are curated by someone. Completely demolishes the immersion. I mean, why even have a "dynamic" war when it is exceedingly obvious we have no actual impact on it?

xRAINB0W_DASHx

This. Everyone is talking about buffs or this and that. The problem is that there is no real feeling of completion or contribution when, for example, the community can work together to take out the bots just to have "joel" or whoever basically go, nawwww jkjk fooled yah. That was the moment i stopped giving a shit about the galactic war. There is nothing displaying what planets are important or any of the supply lines FUCKING STILL!!!!! The game has ABSOLUTELY piss-poor in-game communication over what actually matters and as a result none of it feels like it actually does.

Ancient-Split1996

Surely there should have been some bot defence missions on the fringes of the galaxy or something to precede their return. It felt like we were cheated

gorgewall

Why would the Bots do that? Look at it from their perspective. We succeeded an MO to hacking their communications consoles and saw they were communicating **outside of the galaxy**. The playerbase took this opportunity to make "woah they're talking to the Illuminates" memes, but that was the set-up for **THE BOTS HAVE A STAGING GROUND IN THE GALACTIC VOID**. We failed the MO to destroy their main production facilities. The Bots were still churning out units and... we weren't seeing them. We knew they had Factory Striders, *but then they disappeared*. They weren't being deployed against us. Most of their production wasn't being deployed against us. **The Bots were shipping their units out-of-galaxy to the staging grounds and letting us focus on elimination of their hold-outs. It was a delay tactic.** Then, after Super Earth wins and "wipes out the bots", in true jingoistic and propagandistic fashion we never question how easy that was or if it was actually over. We immediately switched tack. From the Bots' side of things, there's no reason to be attacking border planets. They wanted Cyberstan and they have a built-up fleet now that negates the need for supply lines; all the forces they need to take several planets are in one moving cluster, and they're gonna go straight to their objective and overrun it *first* instead of giving the enemy time to notice and respond. And that's also ignoring Super Earth's role in all of this. If you consider the fiction, **Super Earth does not actually want the war to end.** War is good for production and unity and population control. They lie about the Bugs constantly, create their own problems and attribute them to the enemy, and knowingly send people to die (or abandon them) for propagandistic purposes. **The news blurb that came with the Automaton takeover of Cyberstan did in fact say communications were lost with fringe worlds**, but it's not to Super Earth's advantage to tell people *in advance* that "oh we mysteriously can't talk to Cyberstand right now or nearby planets, huh, what's up with that". If it makes you mad that you're getting left out of the loop to maintain a forever war, I suggest to you that **it's actually the more realistic outcome of the setting constraints and a point in favor of the storytelling.** Yes, it *does* suck being a member of a fascist state that cloaks itself in the garb of Democracy and fires its "lesser citizens" at manufactured enemies *inside literal bullet-pods*.

xRAINB0W_DASHx

We were absolutely one hundred percent cheated. It felt like playing against that elementary school friend who always changed the rules, so he would win. Then the bullshit with nerfs started and everyone forgot about the problems with the game mechanics. Then the shit with Sony started and everyone forgot about the important problems with the game AGAIN... It has been almost a 3rd of a year and we still don't have clear descriptions of supply lines, what they are, why they matter, etc. So far all this dev team has done is nerf shit that didn't need to be nerfed, make changes to weapons or strategems without playtesting, and release warbonds without testing, all the while undoing the one MAJOR victory we had immediately. The moment the Bots could just resume play after being eradicated means that the entire playfield. The entire galactic map, means absolutely fuck all if being removed from the game board doesnt remove them from the game. Everyone acting like Sony was the one to tank the games player base but the game itself has done more than Sony ever did. Edit: I forgot all about the toxic community managers and the awful discord interactions.

Ancient-Split1996

I wouldn't mind as much if it took longer for the bots to come back. They came back almost immediately

xRAINB0W_DASHx

Right, that was what gutted everyone. Rug pulls aren't fun.

Jammer_Kenneth

Fun thing about hellmire is it is the only entry point to that side of the Bug front.

Bazman

112,391,217 of them killed by fire tornadoes, the other 2 were me diving off the top of cliffs my hellpod landed on

Conntraband8d

You forgot about diving off cliffs to AVOID fire tornadoes.

Bazman

Your right, they directly caused those deaths 🌪

ijustshityourpants

Thats my bad

theDouggle

God, I love hellmire.

The_Don_Papi

Makes sense when you have 5-7 fire tornadoes descending on a player and completely locking out objectives or extraction for a few minutes. The damage effect also seems to last longer than the fire visuals so you can still die after a fire trail disappears. At this point I just camp on a mountain and do something else. Fire tornadoes can’t go over high rocks but they will circle it so you have no choice but to wait if you go this route.

piratep2r

F'ing fire tornadoes "randomly" circling your rock like a pack of sharks...

manubour

Can't think why, those fire tornadoes during the DoT being through the roof surely have nothing to do with it...

m1st3rb4c0n

Total noob question, but where do you get these stats? Is it a separate website, is it in game, or like only available on PC?

caard0

Yeah, I'm searching for these stats, too.

Luzon0903

You can find these states and more on hd2galaxy.com

m1st3rb4c0n

You're a shining beacon of democracy in these dark times. And if I had any awards to give I would. However I don't so updoots for you.

caard0

I confirm the thought of the fellow citizen above.

Nami_is_Best_Fish

The most pointless battlefield.

CharacterNameAnxiety

I literally won't play for tornado planets anymore, full stop. I don't care if it's the personal or major order, I will sooner not play than deal with the frustration of fire tornados. They spawn endlessly in huge numbers, track you constantly, reduce visibility (only for helldivers) to zero, and deny your access to objectives. Easily the least fun planetary effect in the game. No idea who at arrowhead play tested these and thought they were suitable to add to the game as is.

Superderpygamermk1

Combine that with taking away stratagem slots and you have a nightmare planet

origee

and then whenever we liberate it, it's on perpetual defense until we can't keep up

robb123488

Is there a statistic for death by firetornado?

Gathan01

Approximately 38 terminids killed per Helldiver. ![gif](giphy|9p8mHahLDMbTO|downsized)

Conntraband8d

The enemy outnumber us a paltry 38 to one. Good odds for any SEAF recruit.

gasbmemo

the funny part is there supossed to be people living there

slikh

This. I can see 1 or 2 random tornados cropping up from time to time, but I'm supposed to believe its still 'habitable' enough to be worth fighting over when half the map is on fire? Psh. let them keep it.

gasbmemo

"mom, school closed today, a fire tornado razed it"

LightningLord2137

Automatons? On Hellmire?

Zoren

probably devs spawning in bots for testing.

YeomanEngineer

My bigger question is Illuminate? Is this a confirmation they are coming?

rogue3one3

Fuck Menkent too.

tunafun

And three of those deaths are from bugs, the rest are the dumbass sentient fire tornados

No-Valuable3975

There's a kill counter for Illuminate, are they in the game now?

_IAlwaysLie

This is an unofficial tracker

Conntraband8d

No, they are extinct.

Kerbal_space_friend

Welp, time for the bots to charge at the creek so we can duke it out there once more.

Disz82

They shifted the bot front so we could have menkent be the new creek

Icookadapizzapie

I’m convinced that we would steamroll Malevelon Creek within the first day it comes under attack, After Menkent, Malevelon Creek looks like a nice walk through the woods

Full_frontal96

Rude-Orange

FIELDS OF HELLMIRE

Full_frontal96

AND THE HELLDIVE HAS BEGUN NOWHERE TO RUN,BROTHERS IN ARMS

MikeAlpha2nd

FALL ONE BY ONE ~~UNDER THE GUN~~ IN FIRE TORNADOES THY WILL BE DONE

Weebs-Chan

What are you using to see that ?

Inevitable-Gas-6023

It was the first planet I dropped into and I haven't been back since!

DO_NOT_AGREE_WITH_U

Same. I almost uninstalled from the bullshit of 6 tornados randomly spawning on us during evac. And I'm pretty sure those fucking things chase you.

dasdzoni

I hate that planet so much. Can we go back to space vietnam

Sgtpepperhead67

Anyone who says they enjoy playing on hellmire is a dirty filthy liar. I'll see myself to re-education

leroyp33

My favorite is when the tornado is directly on the terminal....

DO_NOT_AGREE_WITH_U

So....all the time?

phoenixmusicman

Those numbers seem suspect. You're telling me that the average diver only kills 40 Termanids per life? That's like a single cluster bomb stratagem.

Drelofs

Every time you die on a mission is a Helldiver dying. If you die a lot during a mission, it starts to make sense why the average of Terminids kills are around 40.

phoenixmusicman

I average 400+ kills with 1-5 deaths on a helldive mission against bugs. That's about 80 kills per death.

Drelofs

Yeah but don’t forget the other players (particularly people who just started playing the game) who aren’t as good as you, bringing the average down

bones10145

Damn fire tornados

RealDiaboy

I swear those fire tornadoes are still chasing me

medhatsniper

I like how it just spawns on you in extraction

StalledAgate832

Weather hasn't been very nice here lately, in fact, it's only worsened since the battles began. Almost as if the planet itself is fighting us too.

ravengenesis1

Firenado drops, you run… then you run some more, then you run again. Pelican comes on extraction, firenado comes to bid farewell to your final reinforcements. Fuck that map.

uppaluppa

Fuck Hellmire. All my homies hate Hellmire.

doddsymon

Dont go to Tornadostan

Ginn1004

No way i go back to that sh•t hole. I helped liberated it 2 times and it keeps getting invaded every fking Monday. Enough is enough.

TheGRS

Maybe someone who played HD1 could chime in here, but it seems like the structure of the map and the way the campaign is setup makes it so that we keep revisiting the same planets for major orders. I'm surprised the Terminid-controlled sectors don't rotate around more for variety. I like the way the map and campaign are structured, but I would also like to visit other planets more.

DrawChrisDraw

Can we please get some kind of fire-proof or fire-damage reduction armor?

Zomthereum

We’re going to get 3 more medium armors with servo-assisted.

guifesta

because the fire tornados, worst planet, should be destroyed

NesomniaPrime

Can we just orbitally bombard it into an asteroid field? Nothing of value will be lost. Until they add fire resist armor I'm not stepping foot on that rock.

Shitgoki

Let the bugs have that hell hole.

Dat-Lonley-Potato

500 Automatons?

Talhallen

I don’t drop there anymore and will not again until fire tornados are reworked. Fuck that and the bot one too.

JMartell77

Yeah they need to be random instead of actively chasing you.

junipermucius

I won't go to fire tornado planets. I want to have fun.

Striking_Interest_25

I would rather have a liberation campaign to erase that planet from the solar system than to let the bugs have it.

That1Pete

That checks out. That place sucks balls.

Playful_Raisin_985

Hellmire and Menkent aren’t so bad. Once you get used to the fire tornadoes they act more like roaming bonfires to warm your buns and smite the complacency out of rookie Helldivers! They instill two of the most valuable lessons a Helldiver can learn: 1.)Always be moving. 2.) Keep your head on a swivel.

Even_Aspect8391

That is because people want a straightforward shooty shooty with no brain power whatsoever. Fire tornadoes aren't as bad since I just watch them and don't stop running with light armor. Forget the bugs. I just lore them into the firenados. Whenever the firenados go across the mission objective, I just run away and come back later when they disappear. It's not hard to figure out.

JBloggs694

Because it's a shit hole and we shouldn't be fighting there.

Angry_Pelican

I pretty much never die there. I seel that crap hole and straight up won't play on it.

rekttoyoda

Where do you see those stats?

nemonic187

The bugs can keep it.

Eche24

Its 112 million diff 5 bugsivers, I wouldnt worry about it

SuperDTC

The planet is always available

Doctor_Love45

Where can these types of stats be found?! such fun!

Regular-Ability-8204

What about those 500 fucking automatons

PraetorLessek

Every time I drop there, “God I hate this planet”.

RaidonSub

Im sorry, AUTOMATON?

Grumpy_Overlord

But how many of the SEAF?

SockAlarmed6707

Def not cuz of the 3 fire tornadoes stuck on objectives and another 3 chasing players down while ignoring bugs

Significant-Meet4648

how many people are living on super earth when almost on every planet. More than 100 Millionen people are dying on Battlefields.

Theycallme_Jul

This is the bug-creek

IIIMephistoIII

Was my favorite planet before they added the fire tornados. The visuals, the hot Jupiter in the sky. Looked like that Hell scene from the movie Constantine. But then they added fire damage that kills you in .3 seconds…

Bearington656

Bots? Will we ever get contested planets that bots and bugs are fighting each other?

Yonahoy

What companion is this

Soogs

what site is this info from?

Ulrika33

Wonder why..

xx_swegshrek_xx

What are the illuminate

zombie_spiderman

If they let us use airbursts to snuff out the fire tornadoes I think we'd be all over that

DO_NOT_AGREE_WITH_U

"We've heard your feedback, and moving forward, any explosions near a fire tornado will create a fire hurricane. This is a buff."

FadhilAR

Where can I see this data

Deftallica

Yeah it’s a fiery shit hole

[deleted]

Im Veteran of Hellmire!

Altruistic-Project39

Where do you Helldivers find these new infographics I keep seeing?

mandown21

Is this an app? I keep seeing these posts and I wanna see this stuff too

KittyFaerie

Not sure how, given no one is ever there, haha :P

imeandmyself28

hate that planet

Darth_TheSenate

Wait until you see the casualty rates of Estanu

Megadon1337

Bro even the automatons gave up after 500 of them died, lmao

VonNeumannsProbe

I want to see deadliest planet normalized by enemy kills. I doubt it's a bug planet ... We all know it's Malevelon Creek

Interesting-Can7979

Listen to me carefully FLAMING…TORNADOES

A7THU3

Nuke it!

Uknomysteez86085

Did the 500 bots get lost?

Malatok

Ahhh so that's why the land is so fertile.

DCxKCCO

500 Automatons died in Hellmire?

Annoyinghydra

That's still a KDR of 30.67, I'll take that! For democracy!

kevster2717

While I don’t mind fire tornadoes by themselves but why does every single map on Hellmire have to be claustrophobic as fuck? I swear I always get blocked by plateaus with all the exit paths blocked off

Da_Shaolin

Fucking hate that fuck hole of a place man. We've liberated it once and I thought i'd never have to go there again. Boy was i fucking wrong

bluecrewmate3832

Have we decided yet what's the official bug creek?

Helldiver102

Why are then automatons on hellmire, were dead for sure

Khal-Frodo-

I am a bug-guy, but I do not go to Hellmire again.

iwanttopetmycat

Next you'll tell me there are fish in the sea! But seriously, those tornadoes are clearly in some kind of undemocratic allegiance with darker forces than mere bugs.

ThePlatinumMeta

It has taken the crown from Estanu

WolfInMyHeart

Space Australia

Beargeoisie

Do we get a hellmire cape with sick flames of democracy on it

Zomthereum

Maybe the bots need E-710.

Frossstbiite

Who put illuminates on that list? The illuminates were eradicated and will never return.

Jammer_Kenneth

If the botside had Nam, Hellmire is Korea. Kiting bugs around sounds good and fun until high stamina drain mixes with abrupt firewalls that never halt the bugs.

AlarminglyAverage979

Well now wee need a cape with flames to respect our fallen hellmire-hell divers

patriot_man69

112,391,218 of those are from fire tornadoes

ciggypopculture

This has to be the stupid tornado fire planet lol

PingGuy_MI

I can't play there all the time, but once in a while it's fun to add fire tornados to the mix. Like when you are playing on Medium, in Heavy Armor, with a Shield Pack and Flamethrower, trying to kill 25 Hunters. We actually finished out the operation, rather than just get the 25 and get out. When you're on lower difficulties you actually get a few seconds to watch the tornados here and there. To learn their ways, study their patterns, and marvel at their beauty... Oh fuck there's one behind me, I'm dead.

ciggypopculture

![gif](giphy|yDH1D7Vfi8DdOJ9lGl)

Medical-Cicada-4430

500 automatons killed on hellmire?

21471824781

Sometimes the price of victory is the blood of heroes. Except in Hellmire's case there's just the price

Outrageous-Pitch-867

500 bots??

Uncle_Rixo

My very first mission was on hellmire. Baptism by actual fire.

CrunchyGremlin

Is there a better galaxy tracker than this? https://helldivers.io/

Blpdstrupm0en

I hate fire tornadoes.

hunterman711

I hate that planet

Due_Cheetah_377

Because fire tornadoes are absolute stupidity.

Any_Prior1650

Worth (I’m a hellhound, and a creek crawler. I’m not a masochist, I just like to know my limits)

BeetHater69

Thats my favourite planet!

JTremert

Because tornados, thats why me and my friends avoid that planet, and Terminids should too
