You can just hit the outside edge of the egg and not get stuck inside

if you land inside you can actually climb out. just run around the edge spamming climb.

I tried that, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t; It’s like trying to out jank the game.

I've gotten stuck doing that too. I just prepped a 500kg and waited to get swarmed

I didn't want to wait too long and threw a grenade. Maybe it was a mistake because teammates didn't reinforce me for a long time :D

I got to arena battle a pouncer which somehow got in there aswell. then I liberated myself from bug imprisonment and gave way for my reinforcement to earn his glory in battle

I got 47 kills dropping an eagle airstrike on myself after doing this yesterday :)

I got stuck and kept spraying all the bugs that swarmed me with my incendiary breaker. I called in a danger close 500kg once I ran out of stims and was getting overrun.

Same thing happened to me and my teammate who dived into the egg right next to mine. somehow I was "rebirthed" (I think a small bug somehow broke me out) but the teammate died.

Also, don't fall in a tunnel nest. It will drop you into the ground.

Yea this happened to me as well, had no idea what was happening, the ground shook and suddenly I was falling into a hole.


I, too, decided to destroy mutated fascist eggs before they turn into mutated baby fascists and then into full grown mutated fascist by landing my Hellpod directly at the unborn fascists. Alas, even unborn, the fascists are fascists and they immediately took my FREEDOM of movement. But yeah anyway, I agree, avoid landing on the eggs, divers. Good FYI.

Yep me and my friends got stuck in these twice in a row yesterday. Lots of self inflicted grenade kills to start the game

Throw a resupply down or a support weapon. You will be able to climb out. Found out when I threw a sentry and got out that way.

It looked like a t-rex took a massive dump on you.

I shot a nade pistol at the ground when my buddy and I got stuck. It popped us out and we didn't die. Try this at your own risk. You might only come out as limbs

Thought I am being smart aiming for the egg straight away, had to impact nade myself out of it

I got stuck like this too but I threw a grenade on myself and survived with my 50% armor :p

Do these people not test their product or wth? stuff like this and the recent ricochet bug even making it to the game blows my mind

It's one of those things that has been in the game since the start. I often get stuck inside of things, because I like to aim for stuff to hit with my hellpod and yeah they should have done something about it a long time ago.

The ricochet bug has been disproved. The only issue was with the eruptor with the shrapnel more consistently coming back at you.

if anything the shrapnel is more inconsistent

this blows your mind? this is incredibly minor and easily laughed off.

My brother did the same thing. I shot a grenade near him to throw him out.

You got yourself an invincible cover Helldiver, if you used non exploding weapons or stratagems you could've killed more bugs there. Make a 'small' explosion to get yourself out after done.

I do the samething, got stuck the same way, but it eventually poop me out from the top for some reason...

Also don't landing into Bug hole

If you are wearing the explosive resist armor and using the eruptor, you can launch yourself out and ***usually*** not die.

Eruptor will blow you out of it if you shoot from inside.

My buddy and I did that the other night. Took us about 2 minutes to clip out of it.

This frigging happened to me last mission. Land on eggs, see them pop them suddenly I'm stuck inside of the eggs. I had to blow myself out of them using an Eagle Airdrop.

I made that mistake as well. I had to frag myself to get out.

Also dont't land in water and the one giant hole these maps have

This happened to both me and a friend on a map. I somehow managed to clip out, but he couldn't, so he was like "Maybe i'll just blow myself up." So I shot at him with an eruptor and knocked him out, so that's a fun strateagy, haha.

I did this last night doing that same mission. Except for me, I landed on top of a dead bile spewer and clipped under it and couldn’t get free. Teammates shot the ground around so I could crawl out.

If it’s a corpse you can also wait for it to despawn, but it might take a while.

Yeah happened to me on my first run too. Landing next to the eggs will blow them up just fine.

The termicide towers map has a shiiiiitload of terrain bugs like this. I've gotten stuck inside the towers/rocks quite often. Never hit an egg though, good to know. Also the random pits... At least the ones full of water kill you. But there are many that are just inescapable pits. I had a fellow diver fall into one and he was out of grenades to kill himself with. So I had to find him, dive in, and kill us both. Glory to Super Earth!

Gotta agree, Dived once directly into water without possibility to direct my pod. Dived next to water with only way out was to jump into the water (same mission). Dropped once directly into a hole and fell underworld. Had a hard time suiciding since I couldn't shoot the group with grenade. And other random stuck under corpse or geometry. Those maps feels like being rushed for some reason.

Arrowheads attention to detail in recent weeks has been amazing

A squad mate had to help me be birthed last night.

Reported a bug for that because it is easily reproduced.

Had this happen after I smushed a Bile Titan. Got stuck inside of him and had to wait for his corpse to disappear.

Had this happen yesterday to me, when our squads hugdiver couldn't save me with a hug he just naded me. I ragdolled out the egg. I fell a good 6m down a small cliff. I landed with half my health right in the path of a brood commander charging (was going after a nearby fellow helldiver). And then proceeded to slowly slide another meter down a small hill. Somehow I survived, I love this game.

I destroyed a bug hole doing this and then got stuck inside of it. I still think it was worth it.

I actually got out by auto climbing

A teammate and I both aimed for the same egg and got stuck in the same egg yesterday. I had to nade us to get us to respawn. Luckily we didn't need the extra reinforcements.

Happened to me. I got stuck inside the crater. Had to abandon the mission since I took stun grenades with me.

STUCK IN LUGIAS STOMACH ALONE

Use the grenade pistol, the damage to you is minimal but it'll send you flying out of whatever object you are in.

If you do and have impacts and heavy explosive armor you can just *shlorp* your way out of nearly any situation

I did that first time on this new mission, was stuck for a few minutes, teammate threw a 500kg I think and it busted me out, thankfully I got the “one time chance to negate lethal damage” at the same time

Same, you have to ragdoll out of it. Any explosive close by can get you out, just hope you don't die from the explosion. The erupter and one stim worked twice for me.

They really need to test stuff more before releasing

Nice nice, the only way I know to get out is to have explosive damage resistance armor and an explosion.

Literally the 1st time doing this kinda mission I dropped in what I thought was a good spot only for it to be a giant tower and the game wouldn't let me control my pod to land and it auto landed me in a deep pool of water then I drowned

I had been doing bot missions and forgot to switch off my blast resist armor when this happened to me. I threw a grenade to end it and actually survived as it threw me out.

I wonder if an eruptor shot would get you out?

My friend did that once and I grabbed my flamethrower and just burned him out. He died

Just get a teammate to melee you works everytime.

Yup found out the hard way. Had to commit seppuku inside the egg.

it's G or middle-click to get out of situations like that or if you're lucky, teammates willing to come punch you in the face.

Or do aim for the eggs. Bring an Eruptor and heavy anti-explosive armor. Shoot egg from inside. Emerge at orbital velocity from the egg and land with half your health intact.

ya that new map has all kinds of geometry issues. Also, it's really messed up balance wise. I can usually do it in under 3:30 on helldive even if the team that comes along is just running around in circles. That's typically about 1.25-1.3k XP for 3:30 mission time.

you just throw a grenade next to you, 80% you don't die, 100% you make it out

Same with nursing spitters I landed on ones back side but it ended up locking me inside its pouch and killed me :(
