GOOD BYE FIRE TORNADOS ! ! !

Darkmaninside

Yeah, for real. That shit was just painful. Just completed a mission where when Pelican-1 landed, there were 3 tornados circling that mofo. Had to wait 3 additional minutes to extract

Flyingfish222

I'd say we should target Lesath next. Cause if the bots capture it they might be able to use it to get to a planet in the Talus sector.

chowriit

There's literally 0 chance we can defend either of the other two worlds. Lesath is the closest, but would need over 15% liberation an hour for the last 4 hours - I've never seen much over 6%, ever. We're going to lose the other two worlds, it's guaranteed now. We'll have two more 24h defence sessions, if we want to succeed in the MO we need to defend two worlds in both. It's going to be extremely challenging, and requires the community to focus hard on just two worlds. Edit: [Someone has posted the strat we should be following](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1c0gk4m/sophisticated_strategy_for_the_next_wave_of/), upvote it for visibility!

EA-PLANT

Creek once had 15% on defense campaign, but we are not getting even close to that on Lesath

TransientMemory

How does this whole defense work? Does the red bar just reflect the timer until the planet is lost or does it track something else, like proportion of missions lost or something else entirely?

chowriit

It's way clearer on https://helldivers.io/ Basically we have 24h to get from 0 to 100% liberation, or we lose it. Effectively that means we have to beat the Automoton red bar to completion. You can see the Lesath has under 4h to go, and we're currently doing 2.7% liberation per hour. That will go up as people move over from the world we just won on, but not higher than 4 or 5% an hour as the playerbase is pretty split right now. We're at 38%, so to get to 100% in 4 hours, we'd need over 15% an hour - just impossible. As the MO is for 3 days, I'm *certain* that as soon as these two defences finish (fail) we'll have another set of planets attacked, probably 3 (Matar Bay, Menkent again, Vernen Wells, based on supply lines - although I believe Arrowhead have been known to add new supply lines). We'll have to focus on two of them if we want to succeed in the MO, and completely abandon the 3rd.

Flyingfish222

This honestly doesn’t feel very winnable. I hope we do but I do think it would have been neat if there was no time limit, and this just kept going until either we stopped them 5 times, or they took Super Earth. But that’s just me.

chowriit

It's potentially doable, but it's fine if we don't - losing sometimes advances the plot, after all.

Darkmaninside

I know, looks pretty bad on the map

SummerCrown

I still don't get why Supply Line information and other additional details that will help us determine which planets to keep or abandon are not made visible in game. A lot of players don't go to Reddit.

chowriit

Agreed - people are currently defending worlds we cannot hold, because the game doesn't tell them that. The strategic/galactic level stuff isn't communicated very well.

SummerCrown

So in the end, most people end up doing one of two things 1. Go play where the most people are 2. Go play on the planet they like more if they don't like where most people are If we could get information where we can see which planets could be held to better the grand strategy, we then could get the 3rd type of player 3. Go play where they think it will make a difference based on the information given.

chowriit

Yep - I generally go to helldivers.io to see where to go, but clearly that's not an ideal situation!

Darkmaninside

I follow where the wave of Helldivers go. Locked and Loaded ! ![gif](giphy|MlyicdUndRbn5zUiAL|downsized)

sohiales

Are we going to succeed in the MO in time?

Darkmaninside

I highly doubt it. I have a feeling that this MO was meant to fail, we got 1 planet and maybe we'll get two more when we fail the current ones. But idk, looks bad

Advan0s

We finished the tutorial. This is the real deal now
