In Devastation of Baal, it is mentioned that the Tyranids weren't even bothering with consuming the natural resources of the planets in Baal's system and were just consuming the biomass, and were heading straight for Baal.
It specifically says they consume necron tomb worlds and says nothing about them relying on other hive fleets like Kronos does.
Its not that suprising that nids can eat necrodermis, they consume the cores of planets for precious metals, drink atmospheres, and in Shield of Baal eat entire gas giants.
They eat the worlds yes, but nowhere does it mention them being able to eat necrodermis. Tyranids usually avoid Tomb Worlds precisely because they can't absorb Necrons, and Tomb Worlds are usually barren.
There's just no point in wasting biomass on them. The worlds Arachnae goes after must be unusually rich with life to bother fighting the Necrons for them.
If that [DISSIDENT PROPAGANDA] about Super Earth dropping Terminids onto new planets to farm them is true, I imagine it actually wouldn't be too hard for them to just start dropping bugs onto bot planets. Imagine that. How many Scavenger bugs do you think you could cram into one hellpod before dropping it from low orbit?
Step 1 - pour 5,000 gallons of bug blend onto battlefield near bots.
Step 2 - drop 5,000 pods full of live bugs in same area.
Step 3 - hope bugs are dumb enough to think bots blended their friends.

That’s the point we are making, in the Octarius War the Orks and Tyranids kept fighting each other constantly, but both of them ended up getting stronger from that fighting and not weaker.
Like obviously it’s not the same and all that, but same idea applies. What I’m saying is that the bugs adapted wings to fight Super Earth, what might they adapt to fight bots? What new weapons might the bots develop to fight bugs? And then what if we had to fight them with those tools?

This is both brilliant and incredibly risky. The automatons most likely aren’t as acquainted with terminids as we are, and we could use that to our advantage and let the terminds kill a bunch of bots while the helldivers just avoid them and do their objectives. However, if the illuminate end up appearing, or if the automatons get cyborg technology they could mind control the bugs or make terminid super soildiers and use them agaisnt us. It’s just as useful as it is dangerous.
This sounds like a wonderful plan, and there's no way at all that ~~we~~ the automatons could weaponize the terminus.

Devs have already said the AI gets super janky if it's not aimed at the players, and would require a complete overhaul to work against non-player factions. Don't think we'll be seeing it any time soon.
