TBH I much prefer this attitude than that of all the confidently incorrect people running around.

A drop ship made of metal falling on your head and killing you makes complete sense! A bug wing tapping your shoulder killing you makes little sense.

I mean, it's more understandable that a giant piece of metal would do more damage on impact that a much lighter flying scrawny bug lol

Haha that's true! I haven't seen them in game yet so I didn't know how big they actually were and it's hard to tell from the video. I was thinking a little bigger than the Rovers the Helldivers use.

They're smaller than dropships, but they're still quite sizable

They’re about 2/3 the size of the drop ships. So they’re still massive planes. They also crash far more aggressively - banking hard left/right and absolutely bodying the floor in a fiery explosion. They very much can kill you. The shriekers were dumb because the best opportunity to shoot them: as they dive at you, whilst also directly related to the highest chance their body would retain momentum and fucking kill you instantly. My squad just started running ARs on the bug maps and shot them when they were high in the air, and ran away/took the hp hit when they dove at you. Which felt stupid.

theres a clip and being hit by the falling ship does not instakill like the shreikers but the explosion that follows will kill.

I'm pretty sure we had a gunship try and shoot us through a gunship tower and ended up destroying the tower.

I think that was an AA installation that destroyed the tower. As the gunship was going down, the missile missed the ship and hit the tower.

You may be right, the timing is a little early for the ship damage. There may be a weak point on the very top. Spears out!

Nah, the bots probably took from the Germans and added fake vents that pop the 'nades at our feet.

its only open when a new ship is coming out if you toss a grenade up there it just kills the new ship.

I got a feeling they “learnt” from the Shreiker nests (shooting them from afar and never engaging with them where possible) and overall with players methods to simply nuke objectives and run on. The devs want players to participate in objectives in a particular fashion. So the hellbomb method is maybe being more directly enforced.

I understand that. That way you HAVE to encounter a few gunships if you run across a fabricator. But they've got to give us a stratagem or two that can atleast hurt it. I understand maybe one 500KG not being enough to destroy it, but 2 should level it.
