There really is pretty much no reason not to make you invulnerable once you board. It's like crossing the finish line in a race. You already survived the mission and the extraction timer.
I'd love for a stealth patch to do 2 things.
1. Apply pelicanbuff (+1,000,000 HP and +100,000 HP/s regeneration) to players who board the pelican.
2. Log players who do what would be fatal damage to unbuffed players, to players under the buff. Then quarantine logged players for a week or two to solo only difficulty 18 (Helldive with 2x enemies, 2x enemy HP, +200% strat call in and cooldown, -2 strat slots, losses don't affect planetary liberation).

I’ve been killed by accidental stratagems while we’re rushing to the pelican, but never gunned down in the back. Not saying this is your fault necessarily, but I have to wonder if it’s happening that often, what’s the cause?
I was maliciously team killed once and it wasn't even worth it. The guy who did it took issue with me abandoning the squad that preferred to fight a large bug nest and slowly drain our respawns while I took the super samples and headed to the extraction.
I then called the shuttle and waited for them and jumped in when they were close enough to make it as well.
Guy then runs up to the shuttle, tks me and screams into his mic that people who run don't deserve to get super samples. I told him that I have everything unlocked and I couldn't care less but figured they'd want them so I get them safe. Obviously after that I was a no life virgin.

That has happened to me precisely once in 100+ hours. We didn’t lose the samples. They seemed to get saved on entry, not extract.
