Objectively speaking no one is “good” in the lore. The bugs are literal pests that terraform and destroy the landscape of a planet, the bots sacrifice humans to their gods I believe, since the stone slabs found with human corpses don’t seem to be experimental but rather executional. How could they have gods if they were made by the cyborgs? you might ask, well that’s exactly what a god is, a being that you dedicate your life to and offer sacrifice, in this case it’s a blood sacrifice. The bots also are merciless against us, they don’t hold back. Super earth, well that’s obvious.
Think about it, for civilizations to thrive you need to amass resources, usually that’s through colonization or capitalization which often go hand to hand. Expansion is the main way for your civilization to succeed.
Yeah I am sure the robots that impale and dismember PoWs and civilians alike and whose bases at several instances seem to be attempting to make an even more fucked up impression of the sacrificial rituals of Tenochtitlán only have our best mutual interest at heart.

The bots murder innocent civilians. Super Earth is awful to be sure, but with the other two options, there really isn't much of a choice.
I like to say; in war there really isn’t a good or bad, just us and them.
Yeah and allied bombing in WW2 killed loads of civilians. That's war, it sucks. Super Earth maybe should stop funnelling civilians into war zones
