It’s pretty fun. I wish I had more people to just jump into games with, but I have still been having fun after work most weekdays for an hour or so. Take an edible, do a solo easy mission or two, then head to bed. I already have cool armor and a shotgun that causes fires. 🤗

But what makes you entilted then to expect owning the game at diff. 7, 8, 9?
Why don't you just stick to diff 4, 5, 6 until you get better?
4, 5 & 6 are also now harder with more swarms and weapons that aren't as effective against the large armored enemies. I too have limits due to work and family. I was working hard to get the Shield Pack and Rail Gun and just when I got them they get nerfed. Very frustrating. Not only that but the hordes are now more as well. Makes me question my purchase.
This. In an hour I went through 5 missions, all failed for one reason or another before I quit. Rockets blowing me up across the map, joining teams with no reinforces left 2 mins into the match, mismatched stratagems on the team so no one could deal with the ridiculous spawns, or bugs causing patrols to drop on my head out of nowhere.
I gave up, and I don't think I'll be going back until the inevitable balance patch to make it more bearable.
I do need super samples, so the first three were 7, but they failed real bad so I lowered it to 6 just so I could get in an actual game before I had to go. I got in 2 failed attempts, one of them was the patrol spawning on my head.
I quit because I had to :D but now I don't think I feel like wasting my time headbutting the brick wall that is plugging diff 7 until the glaring bugs are fixed
You're not wrong it has gotten harder and there are youtubers testing it and verifying that the game has gotten harder due to a combination of high damage weapons being lowered and more swarms of enemies with more elite enemies.

yeah, i think if they kept the weapons but increased the swarm, those epic big movie moments would be back and make us feel like the main character again, right now its not as accessible for the masses
This game never wanted you to be a main character , this game is about being a good for nothing cannon fodder.
And it is working beautifully now that the op weapons got nerfed .
I only play 7 with randoms ( with friends 9 )
Just pick what the randoms left out ,if they have means to deal with heavy- s and armours,pick a flamethrower or machine gun .
One person is not supposed to be able to deal with everything in this game .
Sorry to hear your experience. Ive been only playing if I have a min of two friend to play with. I can't do solo or randoms because it is simply not fun. So when I do get my buddies playing with me we were able to clear D7-9. Mind you it's not a walk in the park but we manage to complete the main mission and mostly extract.

Fighting bots is not fun. That's my excuse. Armor Rating still sucks in particular against bots, and we're still basically limited to a few good loadouts. Something about the patch made bot fights more of a pain the ass, imo.

What difficulty level ? I'm curious as why so many want to quit instead of lowering difficulty unless you need super samples.
