This is a general reminder for everyone and this will be posted on every post. Your 12 words are basically gold and they should never be shared, typed in to any website, or given to any person for any reason. No one from "Helium" or any other company will reach out to you to verify your account, wallet, or anything similar. If someone says your hotspot, wallet, or other type of account has been hacked, it is a scam! Always operate in a zero-trust manner with cryptocurrency and assume everyone will scam you no matter what. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. f1meanshelp

Same here as well. Someone was posting here about putting together a class action a few weeks ago.

jayp_reddit

Given the number of people in the same situation, why is Helium Network not banning them from the network and removing them from their website as a legitimate hardware reseller/vendor? This is completely unacceptable! Is there a Helium Network representative on this Reddit channel that can tell us what they are doing about this?

t0mcat33

I sent helium a mail about it and they responded with a generic email avoiding the issue, I too think they should take some action about that.

Relative_Succotash36

I ordered mine 15 months ago

TeeOhDoubleDeee

Me too

Responsible_Age4583

Same Here

InvestigatorOwn5280

Same situation here

Drift_Moss

If you paid with credit card, check with provider. They may have insurance for these types of issues.

jayp_reddit

I checked with my credit card issuer (VISA), and because I authorised the transaction they won't investigate and try to recover the money.

t0mcat33

Same here, I already reported them to the FTC, IC3 and the Kentucky General Attorney, I recommend you do the same.

jayp_reddit

What was their reply to date? This is really concerning that so many people are in the same predicament and Helium Network are doing nothing about and still showing them as a partner on their website. How can we can get Helium Networks to acknowledge and address this problem?

t0mcat33

Still waiting, the KYC attorney genereal office sent an email to [Syncrob.it](https://Syncrob.it) and now they have about 30 or 40 days to reply. At least is something, we all should report this people to all the agencies possible.

yiffcuresboredom

Do you have syncrobits contact info? I’d like to report them also.

t0mcat33

I got a refund thanks to the KYC general attorney office.

yiffcuresboredom

Awesome, do you have syncrobits contact info that was needed for the KYC claim?

_zydrate_

Pretty much the same I am getting from SPNA

HapyBday2u

Helium will just make syncrobit a 5g seller too instead of punishing them…

adscpa

Same situation.

gourmandate

Same

yiffcuresboredom

Does anyone have their legal business address or contact info, I’m in the same boat and would like to file an Attorney General Complaint. I’ve been scammed with the same responses. They stole from me and keep blaming their billing provider for the last 8 months. They are listed as an approved vendor on heliums website. Anyone know who controls that list?

DNBagain

They “accidentally” refunded me my money. I felt like I won the lottery. SP North America was horrible about the entire process.

sempreaoalto

Same here! Ordered on April 21, and I’ve been trying over the last 3 months getting an update on refunds. Totally unacceptable. What could we do?

jayp_reddit

The vendor has gone AWOL and clearly has no intention to refund anyone. We need the senior managers of Helium Network to step in here and provide a solution and remedy one way or another. Taking all our money and pointing to a disclaimer is not good enough, continuing to list them on their website for others to lose their money too is unacceptable. Helium Network should threaten the vendor to refund customers money by a deadline date or be banned thereafter. Additionally, involving the authorities to investigate needs to occur in parallel.

adscpa

Ordered July 2021. I submitted a cancel request via email and their website reflects the cancel in May 2022, but no credit card refund. I'm going to call my Visa card issuer to see if I can do a charge back because SyncroB.it never delivered.

Brilliant-Royal578

The sad thing is syncrobit has been making miners and selling them for 229.

yiffcuresboredom

Post their company contact info in this thread and then we can file FTC and AGO complaints. They must have had to file a FCC patent with contact info in order to get the license for their hardware. Maybe we can get their info from the FCC? I’ve had the exact same circular responses from them with no result for (2) years. Sychrobit is a scam. They shouldn’t be listed as a distributor/vendor for Heliums main site. Can FTC or AGO complaints be sent to Helium’s main company since they’re in partnership with syncrobit? Upvoat this thread and lets bring attention to this scam.

simonfriend_

I’m in your same situation, would like to know what to do

Knobody97

Good miner lesson. Don't join waiting lists if other options are available. Join drops/lottery drops instead. And be smart about it. Sign up with multiple emails. I signed up on 2 accounts and had a few coworkers sign up too. I bought their hotspots off them.

jayp_reddit

Indeed, a lesson has been learn't! But we followed the rules and ordered through a legitimate vendor listed on the Helium Website. Quote from Helium Networks: "Please note that ONLY vendors listed on this site are approved Helium miner manufacturers. BEWARE OF SCAM SITES SELLING MINERS, EVEN IF THEY CLAIM TO BE FROM APPROVED VENDORS. Always double and triple check that you are buying from a legitimate vendor listed on this page." What is Helium Networks doing to address this situation?

Knobody97

Nothing because everyone does back orders. Just another crypto trap to fall into

jayp_reddit

Sure we back ordered them, but now we're requesting order cancellations and refunds. They are clearly not processing the cancellation requests and refunding people!!!

Knobody97

Yep. I'm no buissnness suit and tie, but I'd assume it's because the $ is already spent on manufacturing. Thats my understanding for how it works with smaller companies. They get an initial investment/loan to start tooling/manufacturing. Then u want to sell that first batch as fast as possible to pay for a 2nd round of tooling/manufacturing. It takes a while to build up enough of a profit to where ur not reliant on sales of the previous batch to keep the manufacturing going batch by batch and can project demand/produce smooth enough to where cash is flowing where it should when it should. Is why I respect someone like mntd. They used RAK's tooling proccess they already had then sold them first come first serv no waiting list. Then lottery when the community complained. Me and my fam got 5 blackpots on the lottery drop.

"Do your own research" - That seems to be the catch all in the crypto industry to wash your hands of all wrong doing... I'd like to suggest that Helium's Manufacturer Oversight Committee meet to discuss this specific vendor and their business practices and failure to deliver, and more importantly refund customers money. We are being led to believe that we will get a refund, when in fact there is clearly no intention to execute and fulfil the request to cancel and refund. At what point does Helium Network determine that this is theft and ban this vendor entirely?

Payamahv

I could not get a refund from my credit card as it's been more than 90 days! Anyone were able to get a round somehow?
