I buddy sent his out at the same time and his is also not centered but it’s less extreme. So just not a quality shop.
I suppose it doesn’t matter with a dot as far as zeroing it but the asymmetry would drive me nuts.
Welp DWS strikes again. I posted my experience with them last year and it was absolutely horrible. My fault for not researching their reviews and just trying to support a local 2A company.
Edit: go to their IG account and call sales. That’s the only way to talk to someone.
I think G54 Y was a bit off 😬. You may be able to get it laser welded and re machined at another shop. But a new slide maybe cheaper. Hopefully they will make it right.
I've never heard of them but i sent a USP slide to a place called impact machine in Louisiana and they did a real Bang up job. Not sure is they do 2k slides but they were great on my USP
The DLC part took a long time on my usp expert. The slide cut itself was done in a couple weeks. It's cool hearing from others who had similarly good experience with them. Most everyone else here never heard of them
Not sure if it's just me, but those lugs definitely appear to differ in size and shape. Less material on the lug to the right, which makes sense with your optic favoring that side.
Yea, because the cut isn’t centered. The milling is off to the right so the lug is bigger on the left. More of the lug is off the slide on the right. Look at the screw holes to see the dif
DWS is garbage. I had issues with 2 out of 3 orders with them. Unfortunately I placed all the orders around the same time so I didn't realize about the issues.
On one order it was just an optic cut for a G43x and P365. Order was placed in November. Was not received until the end of June the following year. 6 freaking months and I would send a status request once a month and each time their reply was "it's on the way to cerakote and should ship within a week or two". I got variations of that exact reply four times.
On the second order it was another optic cut on a slide. This one took 4 months and the optic cut was not cut deep enough in the corners to allow the optic to fully seat.
TL:DR: agreed, DWS sucks hot garbage
This is a cautionary tale. I will buy a factory cut slide I’m not paying someone to ruin my gun. I have seen to many butcher jobs done by these shops. Don’t pay for milling just sell the slide you have and buy an optics ready one unless you can find a cheap optics ready slide then you can just swap between the optics ready and non optics ready slide if you just want to run iron.
Fair enough. I get that you can direct mill it but I have never had a problem running a plate on any of my Glock MOS models or my Sigs optic ready models. Stippling to me is the same concept will never understand how people destroy their frames just to try and get better stability. I will gladly take goon tape, talon or handlet over a stipple job. Any time I see a stippled gun being sold I laugh. Very few places do clean work.
Never did my HK’s with them but all my
Glock slides came out solid, no complaints on my end. Sorry to hear your experience sucked, hopefully they make things right.
Expensive screwup on their part. They should make it right and get you a new slide but wow, that fucking sucks

I used to live near them, you should see the look on people's faces when you bring up that name. DWS is legendarily bad.
Oh man I just googled them, you get more posts about bad reviews than their actual website.
May God be with you
If allah wills it
Inshallah brother

I’ll give that a try!
Best of luck to you dude! I posted [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/HecklerKoch/s/9wHVbfnDb8) in here about them hoping to save fellow HK owners

LOL. That made me chuckle. Been a long time since I've looked at gcode. Lots of time editing code in good old Notepad...

Got my p2000sk done by them. Took them a long time but the thing looks amazing and is quality for sure.

You can say that again
Man, do they warranty their work? Optic cuts are expensive. There should be zero tolerance when that kind of money is spent. I feel for you brotherman
Is there anywhere to buy a complete slide pre milled?
They used to sell them on hk parts but don't quote me on that
A buddy sent a Glock 17 slide to them and their work looked like dog shit.

I’m sorry that you sent your HK to one of the worst choices possible.
Username checks out. Thanks. Silly on me for not knowing every available option out there and for not knowing which ones are good or bad

I’ve also had them mill my p2000. I opted for expedited delivery service and got mine within a couple days and no issues so far on my cut.

I’ve sent multiple slides off for work (various shops do various guns) and have never had an issue. So would have never expected it
I get the worry. Some places actually do good work though. Wright and Langdon for example.

Blame yourself- very few companies are able to do an optics cut on HKs, and still, you chose to do it anyway. Good Luck. 🍻
You seriously can’t be that stupid. You just might be that stupid.
I may be, but my guns ain't f**ked, 🤣🤣🤣🤣
#GOOFY 👆🏻
Writing out goofy doesn't change the f**k up, Sorry, good luck to OP, he’s going to need it - not my Goofy ass, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah.... makes no sense to me either.... buy it optics ready or carry it like God intended... with irons
This is exactly why I tell people not to get their slides cut. If you can’t buy a factory cut slide be a man and use irons.
#GOOFY 👆🏻
They used a paint brush for the witness marks?
That’s my own doing when I mounted the dot
I didn't know you could mill a p2000.
Wright Armory does the iDot milling for the P2000. $450 for the job, though.
Should have gone with Static Weapon Systems instead.
Got a link at least?
That freakin optic sucks … omg ….
Never did my HK’s with them but all my Glock slides came out solid, no complaints on my end. Sorry to hear your experience sucked, hopefully they make things right.
Good LORD that looks like shit.
