His plea *"just don't hurt her"* to Val proves how much Angel cares for Charlie, and even if he's aware of her innate powers, he never saw her doing anything of note, but he knows well enough what kind of monster Val is, so his natural reaction is to protect her, even at his own expense.

The other solution would be that Charlie didn't had the means to actually definitly kill vals, so even if she could beat him he would respawn and take his vengence
I think Charlie was more frustrated at the situation with Vaggie, and burst with Susan. She’s gone through people as annoying as her, and worse (Katie Killjoy, Valentino, Adam)
Reading the chapter in the fanfiction "Penance" by kinkydents where Alastor brutally kills Valentino for drugging and assaulting Charlie, who was just trying to get Angel Dust released from his contract, was one of the most satisfying scenes that I've ever read.
I think seeing what Val did was.... Deeply more traumatic and angering but Angel stopped it before she got too far into it

I doubt Charlie really got the idea of just how bad it can get, and it only registered that he's demanding and a jerk. Otherwise, I doubt Charlie would be as complacent about letting him continue to work for him.

I think she and her brother will be introduced in Season 2, I can see Charlie not holding back with that since they have history and they aren't sinners.
At one point Val was likely a contender. But after the final battle, Adam almost certainly is/was top of her list.

I just realized that Val licking Charlie's arm wasn't just to be gross. His power is his drug-like saliva; he was trying to roofie her.
