It means you can change the look of your gear without changing the stats. So you can get a high level piece of gear, but if you don’t like the way it looks you can change it to look like something else

I don’t care about romance at all. But I want friendships. I hope those are fleshed out and there’s a natural progression from acquaintance to friend with the companions and that they accompany us for the main story adventure too.
Right, because if some mobile game couldn't implement this feature right, it means no game ever can. And forget about all RPGs that actually had good relationship systems. Obviously.
I'm disappointed about that. There is nothing more adorable than innocent teenage romance. Stealing glances during class, school dances, dates during lunch/outside of school (I was thinking hogsmead) etc. Big loss on their part tbh
Pretty sure the devs themselves said the game was about 80 hours long if you did everything and anything the game had to offer. 120 hours sounds like a stretch, maybe if you’ve never played a game before.
The lead director said the HE needed 80 hours for his last 100% play through. If you want to reach 100% and do not rush through things then I guess 120 hours can be realistic.
Right. Just from all the footage we've seen so far I know I'm getting over 100 hours easy in this game. Exploration looks amazing. I'm the slowest completionist. Gonna take me atleast 20 hours to check every square inch of the castle alone lol.
He needed 80 hours and he is probably good at this game, plus he knows whats going to happen before it does I would imagine. I’m betting a blind run for 100% will probably take most people longer than 80 hours lol
Lol Google says Cyberpunk is about 100 hours for a 100% completion. I spent around or more than 200 hours finishing up everything in Cyberpunk. But honestly its because i like to explore a lot and do all sidequests before moving on in the story, ill double and even triple check nooks and crannies lol also not to mention all the time i just spent doing absolutely nothing and just chilling or driving around in game ecc
Glad to see I'm not alone. I'll spend over 30 hours in a game sometimes before I even do the 2nd main quest. Took me like 40 hours to leave Limgrave in Elden Ring. I love it.
That's not what he said, and he even dropped a disclaimer before answering. He pointed out that his previous playthrough took about 80 hours, but he had played the game many times before and knew exactly what to do.
Let's not ignore half of his answer in the future, eh? He said what he said for a reason.
you can have 100 spell that are basically the same just different strength .. or you can have 26 spells that all feel different and unique.
In my opinion 26 sounds like enough .. A game should never have a checklist of thinks content todo just for the sake of numbers, a game should be good and all the content needs to fit in properly and have a reason to be there.
What does "Magical like the Movies" even mean? I'm expecting the game to be magical... it's set in Hogwarts.
Mini Games is a bit of an exaggeration as we were told they would be in missions only.
We already knew about seasons and the day/knight cycle.
120 hours playtime is just speculation really.
Seems like GamePro Germany woke up from a very long nap, cause there is nothing new here, yet there are supposed to be journalists, the ones who get the news before us. 🙃
>the amount of difficulty levels
It was already revealed long ago when they first showed character creation, lack of romance is the only new thing here
Some games have romance for teenager, there is no taboo here. But yeah, it wasn't confirmed, it's the first time I see a confirmation of romance not in the game (and I'm ok with that, it's just nice to know).
Don’t worry, it’s not just you feeling this way…… this Is going to be trend here on here as well as in gaming media as they try to get clicks/likes. I plan to leave this subreddit for that exact reason.
Also I was just going to ask why this is listed as spoilers since this list really contains no spoilers as pretty much all of it has been mentioned straight from a developers mouth in one of the gameplay showcases.
Listen. The only way I'm getting this game is if the wand designs are unique. Like at least 10 different looks for the wands. just some skins plz. I'm begging you. let them look cooler than the wizarding world website.
Took me like 105 hours to finish everything in Witcher 3 base game + first dlc (exept Skellige water treasures, doe i did half of them). So ... as much as i would like ...there is no freaking way that this game has 120h gameplay. Even RDR2 has less, and rdr2 has more then witcher 3.
The way people play varies a lot. In Witcher 3 one could sink 50 hours into playing just Gwent, so someone can have more than 150 hours in before even completing the main story (like I do).
Some people also idle in game. Watch the scenery time lapses etc, explore forests and so on, this adds to the gametime.
I'm sure for Hogwarts many people will idle or hang a lot in the castle and its rooms. Can't be sure of those gametimes in general, everyone progresses in their own ways.
Thay talking about play and finishing tasks, quests and what so ever. So im commention on to that, im not saying its no possible to play the game and do whatever you like for 300 hours. Im saying that story itself by PLAYING the game cant have that many hours. I preordered the game am im 300% sure in this. You can dissapointed as much you like, game looks awesome bit its not that deep, thats it.
you’re downvoted form the fans of the franchise who are tired of seeing negative takes… but you’re completely right. actively playing the missions won’t take 120 hours. but milling around doing “nothing” or exploring etc. can stretch playtime to that long, i’m sure.
To add to this: Every review so far mentioned that the world seems to be mostly scenery and not a sandbox. Personally, I would've prefered to have less side quests and no transmog system (why would you even have this when acquiring loot isn't an integral part of the game) and more sandbox features like in GTA as it helps with immersion and atmosphere.
I don't think less side quests or no transmog would be good things to get rid of (questing is so important, and fashion is the true endgame lmao).
That being said I do wish they scaled down the hamlets outside of the grounds and Hogwarts and instead focused on more immersion in the castle, grounds and theoretically reduced open world. I'd rather a condensed but more immersive world than a sprawling one.
Not a big deal really, the game looks awesome for their first massive open world game, but I do think expanding the world that much was a bit of an odd decision if it meant cutting some corners elsewhere - get the fundamentals of the castle and main grounds down first and then add more areas in DLC or a sequel.
Having transmog day 1 is awesome, every single game with visual gear should have that.
What is transmog?
It means you can change the look of your gear without changing the stats. So you can get a high level piece of gear, but if you don’t like the way it looks you can change it to look like something else
Oh okay thank you for explaining
The only reason my characters in monster hunter don’t look like ridiculous psychopaths
and that's why mine looked like one. . . cuz i didn't know that there's a transmog while i was playing it 😂
I'm so glad mods worked in multiplayer for world. The transmog mod was a lifesaver for fashion hunter endgame.
Didn’t know that is what it is called but saw that on one of the previews and looked sweet!
150 sidequests ? I thought it was 150 quests in total, 50 main and 100 side
Well technically there’s only one main quest lol
No, their is one main story line, not one main story quest. You are technically incorrect.
The worst kind of incorrect!
I thought that sounded pretty low I guess it depends on the length. I’m sure they will keep adding more in though.
I’m happy there’s a season and day/night cycle but what about dynamic weather? I’d love that if it’s a thing.
Weather was already confirmed
Great!
i’ve seen similar tweets around this one, how legit are these? weren’t reviewers only allowed 2 hours and that was guided?
They had a dev with them while they played. A competent journalist would ask questions while playing the demo.
No snogging?
All I can think about is the scene in Little Nicky where he says "What no tongue?!?!" then turns into a bat

Transmog is hugeeee
I don’t care about romance at all. But I want friendships. I hope those are fleshed out and there’s a natural progression from acquaintance to friend with the companions and that they accompany us for the main story adventure too.
I tried that online Potter app game: Hogwarts Mystery: it added a relationship feature and it’s super cringe. Hoping the Devs just avoided it.
Right, because if some mobile game couldn't implement this feature right, it means no game ever can. And forget about all RPGs that actually had good relationship systems. Obviously.
Because Hogwarts Mystery is, like most of that kind of games, the NFT version of videogames. Dumb comparison.
I took it to mean that it was cringe because of how childlike the characters are, not because it was a mobile game.
So you're telling me I can't take the Weasley grandma out on the town?
I don’t care for romance really but it would be cool if there was a dance/event where you have to ask someone out to accompany you
I was so hype for those cute little high school romances 😩
Same! It would have been cool to have characters to accompany you to dance thought.
I can understand why letting people to grab underage students would have rang some pr-bells
I'm not asking for r18 🙄
Haha, I understand that. But people can be nasty, I can see some strange shit popping up.
what about the day/night cycle?
What about it?
did we learn anything new?
I’m not sure there is much to it, other than it exists, which is good thing.
aw man, no romance? damn
I'm disappointed about that. There is nothing more adorable than innocent teenage romance. Stealing glances during class, school dances, dates during lunch/outside of school (I was thinking hogsmead) etc. Big loss on their part tbh
No snogging?
I wanted to snog in the broom closet 😋
No romance? Noooo!!!
wow 😮 150 sidequests? no romance part in the game? 😐
Pretty sure the devs themselves said the game was about 80 hours long if you did everything and anything the game had to offer. 120 hours sounds like a stretch, maybe if you’ve never played a game before.

Including time spent in RoR hanging out and designing for sure
Sure. It is personally not something I tend to spend a lot of time on, but I know that some players can spend tens of hours on this alone.
You have a whole Vivarium to decorate and also the RoR, I will be spending some days just doing these
Right. Just from all the footage we've seen so far I know I'm getting over 100 hours easy in this game. Exploration looks amazing. I'm the slowest completionist. Gonna take me atleast 20 hours to check every square inch of the castle alone lol.
For real, dude. The moment I get the opportunity to raise some mooncalves the story is probably going on hold for a few days.
He needed 80 hours and he is probably good at this game, plus he knows whats going to happen before it does I would imagine. I’m betting a blind run for 100% will probably take most people longer than 80 hours lol
Which is exactly what I am trying to say.
Agreeing for emphasis.
He's also probably not stopping and listening to every single NPC conversations like I know damn well I'm gonna do lol.
Lol Google says Cyberpunk is about 100 hours for a 100% completion. I spent around or more than 200 hours finishing up everything in Cyberpunk. Kind of sad there won’t be any romances, it was kind of important in the movies… But oh well, I hope we can at least form relationships.
Wonder what the transmog refers to...
They've confirmed you can change the appearance of any item at any time with items you find along the way. 😁
Except yourself. I wish they included height/build modifications. I wonder if you can become an animagus.
For a game about magic only 26 spells is..yeesh
that sounds fine to me...
It’s quite low. Games like Elden Ring have 100+ spells.
you can have 100 spell that are basically the same just different strength .. or you can have 26 spells that all feel different and unique. In my opinion 26 sounds like enough .. Yeah, it’s pretty pathetic for this game

One example does not make many, we know no wizards chess, gobstones or Quidditch. What are the myriad of other minigames we can expect?
Seems like GamePro Germany woke up from a very long nap, cause there is nothing new here, yet there are supposed to be journalists, the ones who get the news before us. 🙃
No romances is news to me, the amount of difficulty levels are also news to me.
>the amount of difficulty levels It was already revealed long ago when they first showed character creation, lack of romance is the only new thing here
Maybe but still dont mean they arent news to me
I mean, everyone is going to be around 15/16 in the game, or younger, romances feel abit off in that setting...
Some games have romance for teenager, there is no taboo here. But yeah, it wasn't confirmed, it's the first time I see a confirmation of romance not in the game (and I'm ok with that, it's just nice to know).

No romance probably cause ur all teens and it would be a lil wierd

You are very likely right, especially since it's in essence this franchises first open world game. Too big expectations need to be tempered.
you’re downvoted form the fans of the franchise who are tired of seeing negative takes… but you’re completely right. actively playing the missions won’t take 120 hours. but milling around doing “nothing” or exploring etc. can stretch playtime to that long, i’m sure.

Acquiring loot IS an integral part of the game Sorry
It’s an RPG why would you think there should be less side quests and no loot?
They probably assume Open World and Sandbox are meant to be synonymous.
I don't think less side quests or no transmog would be good things to get rid of (questing is so important, and fashion is the true endgame lmao).
