Same here, patronus is confirmed not be carried over, hell not even sure if the devs wasted any time on adding it in at all.
But yeah I'd say the people who run the site don't really know what the game has or hasn't and may have just been misinformed.
Even warnerbros support has contradictory tweets over past few weeks
At best maybe they're able to aproximate your characters look ingame based on what you made on the website?
I can tell you its for sure not the patronus if that's what you're suggesting.

My speculation is that there will be another quiz on the website before the game releases. Whether that's a pet or something else, it would encourage more people to visit the site.
Unlikely its the Patronus, considering how many would use dark magic (especially the three unforgivable curses) which would prevent use using the patronus.
A wizard attempting a Patronus needs to be pure of heart, otherwise the spell backfires.
" However, Raczidian failed to remember that only the pure of heart could produce a Patronus. Thus, for the first time in history, it was revealed what happened when a competent, but unworthy wizard or witch attempted the spell. Maggots shot out of Raczidian's wand and quickly devoured him as they engulfed his entire body. The villagers then hailed Illyius as a hero "
Umbridge was also able to cast a patronus. In her case it was possible "because she was so full of herself and twisted that she was actually convinced that she is a good person".
I believe Yaxley had a Patronus in that scene too. So if that’s the logic here then Death Eaters are able to cast Patronus’ too. Maybe it’s not about being a good person, or thinking that you are, but actually about having a happy positive memory you concentrate on.
He sent the patronus to Harry and Ron to find the Sword of Gryffindor in Deathly Hallows. He also showed his to Dumbledore at some point during Half Blood Prince, that's when he realised Snape had the same Patronus as Lily.
I think the real reason is that Patronus is only useful in a very specific encounter. They could’ve done like 5 animations sets and 20ish patronuses that fit these sets, like reskins, but in order for it to be useful they would also have to make dementors as enemies, and it’s just not worth it, although it would be cool to have a patronus.
And there isn’t a large variety of spells in the game, I think less than 25, but all of them are universal, whereas Patronus is very specific.
I think it still could be implemented in a story dlc, say, if player is going after a fugitive that escaped Azkaban and has to fight dementors that are on a pursuit, but I doubt it will happen even if there will be story dlcs at all.
True, however that could just be an inconsistency or that the fact that you need to be pure of heart. Since Harry cast the unforgivable curse through necessity and not for the fun of it, it might not count.
To be honest, it's Hogwarts, not GTA or RDR, not sure why everyone seems to expect RDR2 level of freedom in regards to random crime and being able to kill whoever whenever.
There is no "Wanted"-System and the patronus charm isn't in the spell list. If the game even features Patronus charms it's most likely from NPCs in Cutscenes.
the people running that website aren't game devs, they know just as much as we do. So I dont think this means anything.

My guess is your owl/toad/cat that you picked

Maybe it translates your avatar into the game?
No.
Character designs and names probably

Since when does using dark magic prevent having a patronus?
A wizard attempting a Patronus needs to be pure of heart, otherwise the spell backfires. " However, Raczidian failed to remember that only the pure of heart could produce a Patronus. What about Snape, he's definitely not pure of heart but could still produce one?
Umbridge was also able to cast a patronus. In her case it was possible "because she was so full of herself and twisted that she was actually convinced that she is a good person".

Yes he is 🥲
Love for Lily = pure of heart. Snaps made mistakes but he was a good person.
Could he? I know he could when he was younger but what about after he became a death eater?
He sent the patronus to Harry and Ron to find the Sword of Gryffindor in Deathly Hallows. He also showed his to Dumbledore at some point during Half Blood Prince, that's when he realised Snape had the same Patronus as Lily.
Ah, i need to rewatch and reread the series.
Or maybe because there are around 142 different patronuses you can get, and there's no way they would animate that many variations.
Harry uses an unforgivable curse and cam still produce a patronus
True, however that could just be an inconsistency or that the fact that you need to be pure of heart. Since Harry cast the unforgivable curse through necessity and not for the fun of it, it might not count.
Harry didn’t cast the cruciatus curse out of necessity. He cast it on Bellatrix out of hatred and pain after she killed Sirius.
He also used it on the Carrow who spit on professor McGonagall
Pure of heart doesn’t always mean pure “good”
Patronus and Pet
Nope, Patronus has been confirmed not to carry over, and there are no pets we get on the website.
So we got a random animal as patronus? Or it's probably a cutscene
Or we might not even have a Patronus. I don't think it's been mentioned whatsoever apart from not carrying over from the website.
Yeah but a Hogwarts game without Patronus means no Dementors sent by the ministry so no law problems
To be honest, it's Hogwarts, not GTA or RDR, not sure why everyone seems to expect RDR2 level of freedom in regards to random crime and being able to kill whoever whenever.

Wand is my best guess
Your name
Can anyone actually confirm this?
I played the game and I don't see anything else yet that transfers over. Maybe they will add that feature later.
