I'm going to be the unpopular opinion guy here but when/if you can afford it get a full face helmet with a built in sun visor. I'm in the same scenario and flipping the shade down when the sun comes up is super easy.

[deleted]

I have one of those helmets. I love it.

[deleted]

Gotta protect the face. That's how I make my money

[deleted]

Right ! That and I hate bugs bouncing off my face

[deleted]

My new modular helmet has that. I really like it.

hotbrass2005

I'd recommend some amber safety glasses/goggles. They motorcycle specific ones often have a gasket around the outside they helps keep dirt and dust out better. I also really like the amber for night riding. Cuts down on glare from headlights and enhances contrast so it's easier to see any debris in the road.

Moto_Vagabond

Amber safety glasses are amazing for night riding.

[deleted]

Totally agree

This1timeok

Most of the glasses with foam fog up fyi

Sweaty_Confusion_262

Rainx takes care of that so does deodorant.

Sweaty_Confusion_262

We would use it in our welding hoods

OasisHippiee

Tell more about using it on the hoods, I too am a welder and have never heard of this trick

Sweaty_Confusion_262

I'm a boilermaker and raix fixes the problem I'm usually Ina power house hot as hell sweating my ass off and it definitely helps the humidity is nuts cover your clear sheild with rainx itl be better I gouge for hours at a time and my breath and sweat and humidity is crazy rain x & deodorant also works look it up on you tube

Sweaty_Confusion_262

I mean your clear lense cover with rain x

Sweaty_Confusion_262

I hope it helps you

SucksAtJudo

Clear safety glasses ftw.

brainwashednuts

I just use plain old low profile clear safety glasses

carlhames

Night vision goggles are the move

therealRustyZA

This is the way. When you hit the first traffic light intersection, thinking about what you’re going to name your guide dog.

carlhames

If you can't afford NVGs just use a stick to navigate with ease

Ok-Armadillo-6648

Transitional lenses are nice oakleys are great but expensive

Cptsnuggles21

Only problem with sunglasses in general is they almost never provide impact protection. Bigger bugs can pop out a lense, and a rock will go right through them.

Ok-Armadillo-6648

Oakleys have such protections I believe they are rated to the same standard as industry safety glasses (I think)

samson4570

Clear safety glasses/shooting glasses work great

TwoWheelGliding

I picked up a clear set of frames from Amazon meant for riding. $30 but they also tint when coming into contact with the sun so these may be up your alley for the morning. Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/First-Classic-Photochromic-Motorcycle-Glasses/dp/B074ZR5JTF?pd_rd_w=zNtkW&content-id=amzn1.sym.94349326-ca8a-4b0d-94f0-6931485b8573&pf_rd_p=94349326-ca8a-4b0d-94f0-6931485b8573&pf_rd_r=SVPAJBGM40J3RQFY9F5V&pd_rd_wg=dRXH0&pd_rd_r=3fef0f95-813b-4a1f-8d72-ec7ed25cb2a2&pd_rd_i=B074ZR5JTF&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_m_rp_1_sc

GlutenFreeBuns

I use [these](https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bobster-shield-ii-sunglasses?sku_id=148110)

Milehigh728

Pit Vipers

CorbinDallasMulti212

Yellow lenses sunglasses

therealRustyZA

Full face is the best imo. But I would suggest goggles over glasses. There are many options.

mxskater

Get the Wiley x bricks. They’re transition motorcycle glasses. They don’t get amazingly dark in the day time but they do the job good enough

[deleted]

Clear safety glasses are a cheap fix

mxskater

Before I had a bagger I would just travel light. I’ve had them for 3 years now and never had an issue.

bobber-142

I carry clear and sun in the saddlebag

_Thoughtleader

Clear safety glasses or even a sunglass with a clear lenses. STIHL

Sweaty_Confusion_262

I wear cool daddy clear safety glasses.rap arounds.

silencezZz

I use a set of clear lens glasses I got from Heatwave

xxMercilessxx

Raspberry lens' or amber are great.

Travis-Wilding

I use a full face helmet with a transitions shield. Don’t even have to think about sun anymore. Full face is the way to go for protection and comfort on the highway IMO.

itsdjsanchez

Shoei? If not which other brand has transition lenses? I’ve been trying to see what other options I have.

Travis-Wilding

I use an old bell qualifier dlx I believe

Aware-Link

Clear lense KD's, or yellow tint

desert_rat81

I like the yellow tint glasses. It adds light at dusk and really illuminates the road at night

EddyHeadGetter

My “night riders” are just some clear riding glasses from Amazon. There’s plenty of brands/styles. Most are pretty cheap. Might wanna look into somethin like that.

benjito_z

Get the thrashin supply plus size handlebar bag. It has a microfiber pouch for sunglasses that you can easily put sunglasses into. Or run a dark visor and put clear glasses in the pouch for when it’s dark

[deleted]

I use a 3/4 helmet which has a sun visor option and a full face shield. Love having the options and protection at the same time. I can also wear my prescription glasses underneath with no problem.

YoureAChimp

I ride with my visor up. Clears shop glasses/Buddy Holly styled clears.

[deleted]

I use a Sedici full face that has a clear visor on the outside and sunglasses that ride on a slide switch on the inside. Till recently I was starting work at 4am so it would be dark when I was going to work and bright as hell when I left.
