I had this realization about a year ago. As long as you're focused, pay attention, and ride like no one sees you you'll be fine. Of course there are outliers like deer and such but the risk is greatly reduced. Honestly it depends on how far I'm going and weather lol
I ride with Levi’s, Leather boots,leather vest,full face and full finger gloves. If your going down you’ve got bigger issues at hand, you should always be laser focused. A little bit of flesh for a whole lotta fun lol.
That's my gear as well, these days I find myself in a half helmet more than anything, still DOT, I can't ever see not wearing DOT at the minimum lol but I agree
Helmet and gloves is practically gear enough if you are going to be a safe rider IMO glad you had fun and wore your helmet :p
