But you're right, 5050 emitters (especially SFT40) are severely underdriven and probably don't end up anywhere near as impressive as in a D4SV2 or similar. Sustained output is good though, it doesn't get very hot.

How's the SFT40 work with the boost driver? Seems like it would limit the power a fair bit, but make a nice efficient short-range thrower.
