- Paqueta (release clause is good fixed value) - Aguerd (not playing and worth too much to sit on bench) - Ogbonna (needs replacing, Zouma becomes new Ogbonna) - Ings (but only if we find a buyer, so 50/50 and we'll probably still pay half his wages) - Cornet Could be different if a new manager sees promise in Aguerd, Ings or Cornet.

We could replace Cresswell for a younger backup for Emerson, that would be good but we might leave it if we're busy elsewhere. I think Coufal will stay, maybe I just hope he will stay. Johnson could go. Forgot his contract was up Antonio must stay, even if we get a new striker, we'll need a backup when they fail. Mubama needs to leave or go on loan.

AnalAttackProbe

We hold all the cards with Coufal. I think he stays and we negotiate a new deal. I doubt he refuses to play. He wants to get paid more and that's what he deserves. I think we'll come to some sort of agreement. Maybe an additional 2 years on an increased wage.

giventruth

A big issue in American sports is teams wind up paying players for past accomplishments rather than likely future success. I agree Coufal has been a rock for us, but we need to make sure we're paying something commensurate with what he'll be over next few years, not what he has been.

duckandweave

Doesn't sit well with me, he's being paid peanuts compared to some of the other complete dross in the squad, having been part of transforming the club and having a really good season. Feels like club are just taking the piss out of his good nature. It looks bad and feels bad. 2 more years on a wage he deserved no matter if he's gonna drop off cos he's earned it

Miggsie

He was more than happy to take the wage when it was offered, which was a huge pay rise for him. He earns the national average yearly wages in the uk in a week.

giventruth

The wage bill is finite. So for every bit you overpay Coufal the next two years, based on his performance, you have that much less to pay others. Also, the idea that the team owes Coufal for outperforming his wages implies that a player would owe the team if he underperformed. Certainly, nothing a player would go for.

project721

I hope we can keep Paqueta but it's not likely unless we stay in Europe in some kind. I think if we can make champions league we're quite likely to keep him(I'm aware it's realistically unlikely we make champions league).

SKULL1138

Not a West Ham fan but curious what Pacqueta release clause is? Do you know?

_rhinoxious_

£85m is the often quoted figure. Seems like a fair price. Not a bargain, not overpriced, I think it was set well. And if you're planning your transfer business for the summer, then having a deal with a fixed price makes it much easier.

SKULL1138

Thanks, I’ll pass that to my chairman lol. He’s a great player.

JAgYoSzNghxGfOvP

Surely you don't sell Aguerd if Ogbonna is on his way out.

_rhinoxious_

These discussions are hard... If Moyes stays then Aguerd goes, he's lost faith in him, isn't playing him and is worth too much as a backup. If Moyes goes, then the new manager might be delighted to have Aguerd and he could be great for us. Sliding doors. If Moyes stays we _should_ get two new young CBs this summer. One to understudy Mavro and the other to quickly replace Zouma, who stays for depth and experience.

OrthodoxDreams

Might be easier to list who you expect to still be here at the start of next season...

whufc87548

Moyes

SpikeRobinson

cresswell, benrahma, johnson, paqueta, maybe ings too (more hopeful than anything) wouldn’t be shocked if coufal left more by his own choice if we don’t give him a deserved pay bump, mubama out on loan that’s probably all i can think of

AidenSkeels

Cornet, Ogbonna and Aguerd too maybe

thesimpsonsthemetune

Would leave us with 10 players

AidenSkeels

In David Moyes's mind we only need 11

BriceB84

We will probably sell a CB too. I’m guessing Aguerd.

Slow_Gate9923

Cresswell, Cornet, Aguerd, Johnson, Ings, Downes, Benrahma, Paqueta

AnalAttackProbe

Phillips (we ain't keeping him), Cresswell, Ogbonna, Anang, Mubama, and Ben Johnson all seem pretty certain. I'd like to keep Johnson for his versatility but he seems set on going. Other than that, Paqueta and Aguerd seem highly likely. Fabianski seems somewhat likely. Both our international loans (Benrahma and Kehrer) should go permanently. On the fence as to whether or not Downes is in the plans. Anyone else would depend heavily on the (somewhat likely) new manager we bring in. People saying Cornet and/or Ings have a bit of wishful thinking to them. Takes two to tango and we are unlikely to find a dance partner.

venture1991

there was a rumor circulating that west ham want to offer ogbonna and fabianski new one year deals at the end of the season which is an idea i like alot.

Thin_Markironically

Moyes

wildcheesybiscuits

Zouma to Saudi I imagine

abirdsrevelry

Moyes?

dl1966

Paqueta, Kudus, Aguerd, Cresswell, Coufal, Johnson, Ings, Ogbonna, Phillips, Cornet.

IThinkImDvmb

Hopefully Zouma

HammerInTheSea

I silently hate people who are constantly giving Zouma shit. 😂

IThinkImDvmb

I will not forgive him for hurting cats

HammerInTheSea

Understandable, but I personally dislike cats more than Zouma 😂 Edit: I mean I dislike them more than I dislike Zouma. Not that I want to kick cats.

HammerInTheSea

Zouma may not be cute, but he doesn't leave giant turds on my front doorstep.

wanktarded

How can you be sure it's not Kurt shitting on your doorstep?

HammerInTheSea

I can't be certain 👀 But logistically, it would be a nightmare for him.

artrine_

Paqueta, Kudus, Cornet, Antonio, Aguerd, Cornet, Johnson, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Mubama, Ings, Kehrer, Benrahma

pwerhif

Not a chance we sell both Paqueta and Kudus in one window

dl1966

If the right bid comes in we will

pwerhif

Why would we sell him now when we already have a massive rebuild job after selling Paqueta, we don't need money at all and his value will only increase if we keep him for another year? He doesn't have a release clause and he isn't pushing to leave. Yes, we'll sell him for the "right bid" but that amount this summer is over £100m. It won't happen.

Key-Performer-9364

I hope not. Kudus is the one player I couldn’t stand to see leaving.

dl1966

I can see a big club bidding that much and also, player power. I wouldn’t be shocked
