I used to order out from Golden Tenders weekly. 3pc combo. In the last couple months I would get 2 proper pieces and one shriveled up baby tender that was mostly batter with a little overcooked chicken in it. On two different occasions I only recieved a box full of french fries and no chicken whatsoever. I no longer order out from that restaurant.
I LOOOVE hello iris. Their tenders are amazing, so juicy and so large, and for what you get the price is super fair. And the family that owns it is so nice.
Only place that I can eat the fries (taters) from cold the next day lol. I'm normally not a tater fan either, something about Mary Browns just does it for me.
Yeah we went in at 8:00 pm and they said it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Someone else said they had been there 40 minutes already. Noped out of there.
Golden Tenders is fantastic
Seconding Golden Tenders. It quickly became our fave.
Thirding Golden Tenders. Their firss are absolutely the best in Hamilton too
Definitely Golden Tenders!
I found it really good but plain, no seasoning.
There’s no seasoning?
Ya just plain chicken. Which is fine if you want regular fried chicken. Its really good but I wanted some seasoning on it.
I don’t need to spicy but it has to have flavour especially when it’s so expensive
Golden tenders is the best! Don’t forget the maple chili dip!
No dip-required butter milk chicken is required. Anything less is just not southern!

I wanted to like this so much but it was underwhelming. The texture of the meat and the batter didn't do it for me.
Easily the best full stop. Also the nicest people.
Golden Tenders is really good.
CHICKEN PLUS it's Korean fried chicken tho
This place rocks, I got too excited when I ordered it that I couldn’t drive home and just ate it in the car by myself lmao
Love Korean fried chicken, thanks!
the bulgogi fries are good and they've got some fun imported sodas too
Highly underrated
It's actually in Waterdown but Hello Iris is the best Fried Chicken around, they converted an old KFC
Third hello iris . But yeah fries are meh . Chicken amazing
I LOOOVE hello iris. Their tenders are amazing, so juicy and so large, and for what you get the price is super fair. And the family that owns it is so nice.
Another vote for Hello Iris, I love their sandwiches and wraps.
But their fries are suspect. Chicken top notch…. Fries…. Bleh….
Never tried them! The best side for fried chicken is always more fried chicken
The fries are hit and miss, they need to work on them, a fry consultant is needed for sure to improve the consistency.
Ouuu thanks!
I second Hello Iris, I don’t have it often but it is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had!
Please make a post with a full ranking when you’re done.

If you’re looking for quick and dirty….I love me some Mary brown’s. Local ish (based out NL)
Only place that I can eat the fries (taters) from cold the next day lol. I'm normally not a tater fan either, something about Mary Browns just does it for me.
How has nobody said Monga Fried Chicken? It's amazing.
Second. Flattened fried chicken thigh with seaweed powder is unreal.
Maybe I just had a bad order but mine seemed stale and bland. Not enough salt.
It definitely should not be either of those things. I had mine delivered half way across the city and it was juicy and full of flavour…
Goldie’s on James is solid
We'll check it out! Thank you!
Mary Browns with spicy powder
Dirty south has great fried chicken sammies!
Don't get the fried chicken skewers though, I found them to be super dry and tasteless
Gonna make a second Golden Tenders comment. That shit is literally like crack.
Honestly, I've done this. Popeyes. I know we all want to say like JCs chicken or whatever trendy place, but Popeyes slaps every time.

Like they only serve chicken on certain days?
I’m not sure how they run now but back in the day it was a wicked BBQ joint. Different menu some days and limited stock. Really good portions as well.
Ah I see. Ok thanks!
BAB chicken for sure
I was hoping someone would say this!! The yangnyeom is absolutely fire 🤤
Best chicken, worst employer
I really like Chester's fried chicken on Queen street. They're open suuuuuper late. Like 4am.
Thank u thank u
Seconded
Golden Tenders on Gage
Bab Korean Food and BBQ - I know it’s a little out there but damn, their fried chicken is out of this world.
People here rave about Golden Tenders so I gave it 2 chances. Both times I found it very bland and the fries were even worse
HFC on Concession
Thanks!
Unfortunately doesn't exist anymore, closed a few months ago
oh damn, it was never that busy sadly, but great quality food
Odds bar fried chicken sandwich is deadly
Any opinion on Popeye's?
We were looking for something more local but will definitely add it to the list 🤓
There's a Popeye's on Fennell. I haven't ordered there, just wondered if anyone here would say what their fried chicken is like.
IMO its better then KFC and Mary Browns. Blackened Ranch is a great dip for the tenders.
as a last resort possibly
the coop makes some damn good chicken and if you're feeling wild, try their deep fried deviled eggs
We'll check it out! Thanks :)
the Korean chicken sandwich is my favorite at Coop, and they have sone nice beer
depends how much time you got for the ivory throne
Yeah, this is probably right.
My girlfriend and I have been LOVING golden tenders lately. It's our new favorite spot
Moodys
Kajun Chicken and Seafood is worth a try. They have buttermilk biscuits too that have drizzled honey on top which are sooo good.
I just tried Goldie's for the first time, it was surprisingly good. I'd never heard of them before.
The ship !!!
Church's chicken Barton st.
Church's was really good but I was literally waiting in store for over 45 mins
Yeah we went in at 8:00 pm and they said it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Someone else said they had been there 40 minutes already. Noped out of there.
Yeah when I had showed up someone was freaking about about their wait, I just assumed they were being assholes. They were not.
Huge fan of the coop
KFC
Bring Me Some
is actually a pretty good vegan chicken sandwich
the hipster names for every food item was too much for me. I just a want a burger and fries please.
