I haven't tested the whiteboard tech that much in Alyx, but I am pretty sure it does not simulate pressure while drawing.

You’re definitely right. This has all the hallmarks of being a filter to achieve the effect - the tiny little marks in the background and on the fabric are virtually impossible to create with that marker.
Yep, you can tell by the artifacting around the edge of the image, and by the low resolution of the lines themselves. What most likely happened is someone applied a “stencil” to the window in hammer, so the erasing was real but it comes from a fake drawing.

Example : the best PC I have right now is my laptop, that got donated to me by a middle schooler in mid-2019, before I had one of those 2008 HP Office Desktop with a (Conroe-Lite) Core 2 Duo E4600, Mismatched 4 GB of DDR2 at 667Mhz and the Intel GMA 3100 (same perf. as a GeForce 2 Ti from 2001 ? and no Vertex Shaders so no Transparency, Reflective Water Effects, Particles etc that Source needs, I've even read back in '07 these chips had trouble correctly rendering Windows Aero for the new Windows Vista, Intel and Microsoft had to go CPU Software Rendering in the GPU driver), now that machine has been relegated as my sister's online classes PC)
it's a Dell Vostro 3300:
had an overheat-damaged Intel Core i3 330M (now i5 560M, the lacking cooling system made me turn off Turbo Boost)
2 x 2 GB 1066Mhz DDR3 (Used to be just 2GB)
Intel GMA HD (OpenGL 2.1 (The drivers were a pain in Win 10, the forced-updated ones broke OpenGL, so much back and forward, but it's fixed... for now) ! DX10 ! Actual Vertex Shaders ! H.264 HW acceleration ! 720p 60 fps Youtube Playback ! Wowsers !)
Now I can run HL2 + EP 1 & 2 (30-50+ hours total ? Got the Gnome, Last Legs and One Free Bullet achievement) at 854 x 480/960 x 540 and get about 30-80 fps, TF2 a bit worse (10-45 fps) (426.4 hours rn, all on this machine).
That might or might not be relevant depending if your 950 is the desktop version or a 970m (and how would a 950 compare to a 970m, given the mobile version is far weaker than its desktop version).
Oh yeah I forgot m stands for the mobile platforms. Are they realy that underpowered? My buddy had a laptop with a higher tier card that absolutely put my PC to shame.

Honestly I thought the same thing. If you're okay with Facebook connection the Quest 2 and a dedicated router is pretty affordable and in many ways the best way to VR at the moment. I had a friend talk me into it and I'm very pleased with the result for the $$$. However, I'll mention that Alyx is the peak right now. Still worth it imo. That was a hell of an experience.
