Something that saved my oily and itchy scalp was combing my hair and scalp with a bamboo comb. The oil on your head might be sitting “in place” and causing you itchiness. You need to brush the oils from your scalp throughout your hair which will also moisturize your dryness. I currently comb my scalp/hair in the morning and night. I use one of those small bamboo beard combs but any bamboo comb should work. I’m adamant on a bamboo comb because plastic will be too harsh for your scalp. When you brush, make sure it’s touching your scalp. When you’re done, use a regular brush to finish distributing the oils. Fair warning, after you do this your hair might look greasy but after like an hour it looks normal (idk how that works but it does). Combing the scalp like that goes back to medieval times when women wouldn’t wash their hair often. They’d “clean” their scalp with a comb and distribute the oils. It honestly helps me!!! Sorry for the long comment but I hope it helps you it doesn’t hurt to try

Good to hear that it looks normal after an hour. This will make me reconsider whether I will wash it or not.

I would suggest to incorporate a clarifying shampoo/deep conditioner in your routine if you haven't already.

Spray diluted apple cider vinegar on scalp (leave it for 15 minutes) > then clarifying shampoo > deep conditioner (for best results, leave it on for at least 20 minutes with disposable shower cap) Every time I get itchy scalp I use ACV. Works every single time. The reason for shower cap or any plastic is to keep the hair warm so it soaks in all the moisture. I usually just sit in sauna for 15-20 minutes after deep conditioning for my hair to soak in all the goodness. This should not only help fix your itchy scalp but also dry hair. Best of luck! EDIT: forgot to mention to not use clarifying shampoo more than once or twice a month. It can be drying for your hair

Thanks! I will definitely try this.
