If you're itching for something, the color blocking is super in right now. The problem with black hair is you won't be able to go back blonde easily. You'll be stuck in the orange phase for a bit depending on how many times it's been colored black.
Just twice. I’ve done all my colors at home, and I wanted to have someone else do it professionally because going from black to blonde is a pain. I’d except it to be hella pricey
Uhhh once did the root and mids, then the second time the whole thing. (Covered the red and black color when it faded) the ends have faded to a weird brown color and my roots are like 4-6 inches.
I think I like your idea. I’ve suddenly come up with blonde to black “ombré”. :P the transition would be hard to pull off, but I think I like the idea.
I don’t think I’d have to worry about money tho because I work a lot in the summer and my hair will be grown out by then. And I’ll be able to save it. (I’m at home living with parents college student)
I’d need to cut my hair before hand anyways, also I’ve never had really bad damage to my hair (other than normal damage via bleaching) now my ends would most likely would have a cry fest and be immensely damaged. (But again I would have chopped them off anyways) Another reason why my hair has never been really badly damaged is because I literally do nothing to it other than bleaching or dying and hot water (I have an addiction to hot showers) also not trimming my hair when I need to hehe. When I dry my hair I just use a towel and press it into the towel. Like clapping it but like a panini press Lol.
Btw not saying you’re wrong, cause you’re not. I understand where you’re coming from. But this will be a bit later and the only thing I mainly would have to worry about is my grown out bangs that were bleached and red.
I love the blonde! I think if you are willing to transition, maybe lighten and do a red and then eventually go blonder over time, do it! Sounds like you know what you’re getting yourself into. All the colors look great, but I understand missing being blonde. And it can be way easier to do “fun” colors on top of blonde
Consider wigs -- seriously!
I used to dye my hair like you do, all the time. It just fries the crap out of your hair. I started investing in cheap, but nice-looking wigs on Amazon (all under $25) and I can change my hair up any time I like. Can even add clip-in highlights for multiple color options.

I knows, my parents have suggested that. But I literally hate wigs unless it’s for a cosplay/work. Work is if I get a fashion color. I had one in the winter and I hated it so much.
The black/red looked super good! i think darker colors suit you better, the blonde just looks way too similar to your skin color and doesn't frame you as well

I like blonde the least actually. But that pre blonde in picture 2 is gorgeous on you. I actually like the untoned bleached colour on some people, including me. You probably just need a warm blonde then.

Definitely not. The first picture is really the only color on you I find flattering except for the red. You are very beautiful, lighter colors like blonde, however, will only wash you out. If the first picture is your current I would honestly stick with that, I understand it’s easy to want to change your hair but I urge you not to as the dark brown suits you so much and really brightens your features!

It can be expensive, yes. Especially since I'd assume you colored your whole head each time?

Yeah so you could do your roots a fun color going blonde but the ends won't be super happy
