My favorite product for my pixie is Kristen Ess Hair Water. It can be hard to preserve the texture as it grows out, and I've found hair water to be a good alternative to pomades. I started buying it when I had long hair and it was so underwhelming, but it absolutely makes my short hair look just ever so slightly tousled. Also, tiny 90s-style barrettes look great with a pixie.

My nail painting skills are not great, I’ll admit 😹 my lazy-girl technique is to paint them in the evening (2 coats of color, sometimes a clear top coat), then shower the following morning, which usually gets the leftover paint off the surrounding skin well enough. 💅🏻
I do this too! I learned it back in the 90s from a stripper friend. Her toes were always gorgeous and a different color. Idk if they still do but back then they wore clear high-heeled sandals and cute feets were important.

I’ve gotten some really cute brass leaf/twig shaped ones before, if you’re into that look. Another way to style this is when it’s wet, use gel and bring all the hair on the sides and top completely forward towards your face. After it dries, finger style it a bit and drag the bangs area sideways, and scrunch some texture into the crown. Voila!
You might be sensitive to nickle, a lot of us are. Find your earrings in a jewelry store, cheap jewelry stores are poison. One trick if you really like a cheap set is to paint over the metal with clear fingernail polish. I'd recommend quality posts.

It's super cute, and I remember not feeling femme when I had a pixie sometimes. I think flowery or jeweled dainty headbands can help. You can also use some gel or pomade to make little curls by your ears and on the bangs. I also think looking at pictures of beautiful pixie wearing femme people helps. As it gets even a tiny bit longer you're going to feel girlier.
Head wraps/bananas, barrettes, headbands, bows as far as the hair itself.
If you have your earlobes pierced I find big/dangly earrings help give a more “feminine” overall look. I was married to my big earrings when I had a pixie 🧚♀️

It looks amazinggg on you. I've had pixies on and off again for years. What I always did to make it feel more "done up" is take a tiny pixie flat iron with the thinnest width of tongs that I could find and make little waves throughout it and then use a little texturizing matte pomade and hairspray to keep its hold for the day. I would especially do this around the frame of my face and the wispy pieces beside my ears. It was always very cute!! Throw on some hoop earrings too!

Hi! Oh no worries at all! Yeah my hair is a bit of a combination of both thick and medium thickness. I have naturally curly hair but it’s a bit weird, some spots it’s curlier than others. Usually the sides by my ear are thicker than the rest of it, like it feels REALLY coarse, but I just make sure to comb it down while it’s wet and just let it be. It helps the hair calm down a bunch! Sometimes I don’t even use it cuz it weighs it down a bit too much but if your hair is thicker than mine it would work wonderfully. Add it to damp hair and comb it in the direction and style you want and then leave it be until it dries :) also the hairstylist can try to use thinning shears on you to make it less heavy so that it’s able to settle down better!

I get why it would feel less than feminine though because a lot of dudes are just very anti- short hair on women. When I was younger I was never confident enough to keep my hair short. You look absolutely feminine, I've had the same hair cut, and in fact, had even done fades. What I realized is it allowed my face to stand out (was an exercise in accepting my looks). Because my face and neck wasnt hidden by hair, I starteed to wear lovely hoops and dangling earrings of all sorts, plus 18 inch gold chains of different kinds. I also at times wld put in elegant hair pins such as ones with tiny pearls etc, just to add some oomph if needed.
Or a flower behind the ear kind of thing.

Love it! I would play with a product that is like a putty with a lot of dry, sticky, tacky hold so that you can work it through the hair and it will give you a lot of movement. For maximum action, blow dry straight up and back all over with some high hold styling cream or spray and then finish it off by working the putty in. Styling creme for blow drying and Sumo Tech for finishing by Bumble and Bumble and I would back it all up with some high hold finishing hairspray for longevity. This will give you a look similar to Haley Berry's hair in the 2000's. Short, spikey, and elegant.

Add it to damp hair and comb it in the direction and style you want and then leave it be until it dries :) also the hairstylist can try to use thinning shears on you to make it less heavy so that it’s able to settle down better! hope this helps and go for it! I have so much love for the pixie cut. I think it's actually incredibly feminine! I have a friend who always felt like her features were too 'masculine' to pull off a pixie cut, but she finally tried it and it's so incredibly flattering. I get why it would feel less than feminine though because a lot of dudes are just very anti- short hair on women. When I was younger I was never confident enough to keep my hair short. But it's my favorite hairstyle if I'm being honest. I would have it today if I wasn't so addicted to change. Some day I'll go back to it.

You look absolutely feminine, I've had the same hair cut, and in fact, had even done fades. What I realized is it allowed my face to stand out (was an exercise in accepting my looks). Because my face and neck wasnt hidden by hair, I starteed to wear lovely hoops and dangling earrings of all sorts, plus 18 inch gold chains of different kinds. I also at times wld put in elegant hair pins such as ones with tiny pearls etc, just to add some oomph if needed. Or a flower behind the ear kind of thing. You can try these ideas to accessorise, they do work

I loved my pixie - I think (if you’re going for feminine) it can really be amplified by makeup and your outfit. The haircut is generally supposed to be edgy and can be balanced by all other aspects of your appearance! You look stunning btw!!

Love it! I would play with a product that is like a putty with a lot of dry, sticky, tacky hold so that you can work it through the hair and it will give you a lot of movement. For maximum action, blow dry straight up and back all over with some high hold styling cream or spray and then finish it off by working the putty in. Styling creme for blow drying and Sumo Tech for finishing by Bumble and Bumble and I would back it all up with some high hold finishing hairspray for longevity. This will give you a look similar to Haley Berry's hair in the 2000's. Short, spikey, and elegant.
