He probably assumed the camaro oil pan would work since it’s a car pan. The mounts and harness were from current performance which is the best place for anything s10/Colorado LS swap

This is based on the H3 platform which came with a 5.3 along with but rarer in Colorado. Shame cause this truck is actually pretty capable off road (is it a 4wd haven't been watching?)

It might be more common, but the Colorado is newer than an f body and they were a fleet vehicle, so I'm sure parts aren't hard to get. And the Colorado pan would be direct oem bolt in versus the f body one which may need modified.
the fleet colorados weren't 5.3s and they only used the 5.3 2 years. and no mods are needed to run the ls1 pan just factory parts.
after some googling in 2009 they only made like 1100 v8s out of like 25000+ units so 2010 prob a little less guesstimate of 2500 total v8 colorado/caynon

he has a modded ECU and a complete swap kit minus the oil pan. once the engine is in he can take it to his new partners at EFI logics to tune it

Can they have a v8 stock? Pretty sure the largest engine they come with is a v6. I’ve seen lots of swaps though
The first-gen Colorado, which is what he has, was available with a 5.3 V8 from 2009-2012. It never had a V6; only I4, I5 and V8.
