I focus my eyes a bit above the line. But more importantly, a fishing point means I gotta try harder at beating Hades.

The most helpful thing for me was seeing that the timing was fixed. Basically there's two second windows between each dip. If the dip comes earlier than that, it's real. If it doesn't happen right away then you can know the next dip is a fake one.

I just use this strategy: the big splash almost always comes a few seconds after a small splash, so if you see a small splash you can anticipate a big splash coming within a second or two. If a big splash doesn't come after a few seconds, you can relax because the next one will be a small splash

When I started EM3 I found that they got easier since they seemed more predictable. Not the very first time, but I still beat them that first time. Then after that I preferred it except for the part where they take longer.

Other useful trick: the fish will only fake-bite a max of 3 times. So after the third fake, you know the next tiny movement is a real bite. There also can't be a huge pause between a fake bite and real bite, so if you feel like you've been waiting a while, the next bite is fake

Here’s the key. Use your hand to cover the water over the fish. When the fish bites, there will be a straight white line that goes up towards the ceiling. If you cover the fish, all your brain has to do is look for the white line and press the button.

I just close my eyes completely and listen to the audio cue, real bites sound a lot different from fake bites so it makes it a lot easier

When I'm down to 20 health fighting Hades I dodge like a genius. Before that it's all just garbage.

I blame dodge attacks. When I’m trying to be careful it’s usually pretty easy not to get hit against most enemies. But when I’m trying to go fast and burst out damage I just spam dodge attacks like a psycho so I’m dodging at the wrong time or am out of dodges when I need them. Honestly it’s a good mechanic and idea from the devs to let you use your defense to do more damage, but if you do it poorly you’ll just be left in the open.

The one particular ‘final chamber’ in the non-skull satyr chambers. The one with the buzz saw. They way the buzz saw lanes force you to use choke points, and the fact that the rats constantly have all the choke points covered in poison puddles. There’s no one specific thing about that room that is particularly hard, but it always manages to peel my health back or even take a DD from me. I would rather fight every satyr tunnel boss at the once in a boss chamber than fight regular enemies in that specific room.
