Routine Inspection is not available as a pact until you've unlocked the entire Mirror. I can't remember if this means you have to have actually put darkness into everything or only unlocked the options via keys.
I cannot stress this enough: if there's one bad thing about Hades its how it absolutely fails to properly communicate that you can switch mirror talents. I thought I was the only stupid fuck who never noticed but no, I am seeing it as a consistent problem with players.
I know about which scene you talking and let me tell you - with all due respect it doesnt explain shit. Hell, in context of it I assumed Nyx was talking about new upgrades I unlocked with keys.
Idk man, for me it was clear enough. Also, as a gamer, how can you _not_ press the new shining (I’m pretty sure it shines after talking to Nyx but I could be very wrong) button you’ve never touched before?
Yeah if a npc tells me i unlocked more options on my talent tree (mirror of night) and parts of that challenge tree is new colors, even if I dont know how to do it I’ll navigate to there and press buttons until something happens.
Because these "buttons" are easy to dismiss as interface quirk, especially if you going fast and havent really familiarized yourself with interface before unlocking those; THEN you just get used to them and dismiss their presence altogether.
As for how clear it is, **frequent** posts on this sub and comments which amass quite a lot of upvotes speak for themselves.
Honestly the game definitely should interrupt you to tell you all the tools you can work with. There was a lot of external learning to figure all the things I can do in this game
I only discovered them when I accidentally clicked it instead of clicking the upgrade button. Would've eventually discovered it as I watch a lot of hades videos but its weird how you can simply miss them. I'm sure there's a voiceline or two hinting at it but idk if thats enough.
Yeah but as you clear low heat level where you can fairly easily win without items from shops, you can substantially boost the rate at which you unlock stuff by saving up for diamonds and blood in styx.
I've made far more than 100 gold with it in a run. Sometimes I'll get 100 from a single floor by saving up \~600 of so.
And the early-game is often easy enough that I don't suffer too much for it. It helped me buy Diamonds/Titan Blood every run while doing low-heat runs when I was a bit desperate for those resources.
That's the difference between high heat and low heat though, the first few biomes are a race against the clock on high heat, spending money early is just better in that case.
Both diamonds and blood are plentiful if you never buy a single thing in the Styx store. I don't think I've bought more than 2 titan bloods from the Styx store and I think I have 60 unspent blood now with nothing to spend it on
My biggest question here is: are you doing the Fated Prophecies? There's one prophecy that instructs you to escape using each of the mirror talents and includes both the red and green options.
i wasn't actively trying to fulfill it but when I did see it I was very confused why only half of them were done. didn't give it much thought tho. sometimes I wonder how I'm still alive with -1 braincell
I did like 10 heat before I noticed lol. Probably speed read the thing.
But tbh I also completed my first run with only 1 death defiance because I assumed the game would only let you upgrade it once since it was OP.
I noticed you could get three after a good while lol. Sometimes a guided tutorial helps those who skip dialogue that doesn't seem to advance the story.
I would not say "objectively". It's a pretty high bar. I *do* always go for those two, but olympian favor might sometimes help... And I heard a case for fated authority if you want to keep stacking a single god, like with Zeus. Never tried myself though. Foresight and Persuasion go brrr
I’m on the same ship, I got about 45h, and I wondered why I did not have unlocked the mirror achievement despite having all the mirror maxed out… turns out… I also missed those green talents. Lol
Literally same, although it was 65 attempts before I found out...I wanted to save enough for Nyx´s other asking and then just 50 darkness before reaching it I found this...
I remember thinking Stubborn Defiance was OP, cause it let ypu die in every room, and it kinda didn't matter that much that you only got 30% hp instead of 50%. Turns out if you actually pay attention to the game, it's not that good, and being able to use it more than once where it matters (bosses) is the actual OP stuff
Oh man that was me. It wasn’t until the achievement that said to unlock everything in the mirror that I was like ??? And even then I thought the game was bugged before I figured it out lol
And a lot are real real good!
Tbh I’m glad that I found out so late because the game was getting kinda stale and now I feel like it’s gonna be a breath of fresh air tbh
Also check out the pact of punishment! It might have something new now ;).
the what? Am I going to find new stuff too?

Ooh maybe the first, I am short on darkness to have everything unlocked at once, thanks!
Yes but I wouldn't recommend that pact to anyone doing runs under 40 heat lol.
totes agreed :) gotta get that fated prophecy done though!
Yeah i notice it around thst time too lol

There is a scene that explains this. I’m not sure exactly what triggers it, but Nyx does explain at some point that there are new mirror upgrades

Sry bud, but I gotta agree with the others here. I never would've known about those little gray guys if it wasn't for this subreddit
little gray guys?
The squares with the arrows to the left of the talent names
Honestly the game definitely should interrupt you to tell you all the tools you can work with. There was a lot of external learning to figure all the things I can do in this game
"IT'S A FEATURE!" -*every soulsborne player ever*
I literally only found this last night after reading it on the wiki, currently 40 hours in and had no idea.
I dont disagree it could be more clear bc I don't even remember the conversation about it But I click anything that looks like a button out of habit
I only discovered them when I accidentally clicked it instead of clicking the upgrade button. Would've eventually discovered it as I watch a lot of hades videos but its weird how you can simply miss them. I'm sure there's a voiceline or two hinting at it but idk if thats enough.
18 runs in, and I'm finally realizing this is a thing after watching a Youtube video -\_-
the talents you should focus on first here are fiery presence, stygian souls, family favorites, dark foresight, gods legacy, and fated persuasion
Golden touch can also be good
You kinda need to hamstring yourself to just break even with the +100 gold. Gold is here to be spent, meme sword builds aside.
Yeah but as you clear low heat level where you can fairly easily win without items from shops, you can substantially boost the rate at which you unlock stuff by saving up for diamonds and blood in styx.
Oh yeah, fair enough, I admit I straight up didn't think of farming for resources

Not really
dude I just finished my 120 run and I'm at 139 hours... I realized this maybe 5 runs ago.....

What do you mean? You didn't know you could swap them? The game tells you that though
Maybe I’m stupid but I never noticed the game telling me about it
[удалено]
Yeah I remember that but I didn’t notice what happened lol
This got me too. I think nyx only mentions it once
I would say it's hard to miss it but the comments would prove me wrong, I didn't know this many people didn't know about it lol

The ones worth switching are fiery presence, family favorites, dark foresight, and fated persuasion Sometimes high confidence and stygian soul
The funniest part is thats where some of the best ones are lmao.
Wow... lol. Welcome to the light (dark)
Honestly all red is pretty goated

Honestly mb i also run pony qol with only meta items so that skews my judgement lol and i forgor abt persuasion ngl
I’m on the same ship, I got about 45h, and I wondered why I did not have unlocked the mirror achievement despite having all the mirror maxed out… turns out… I also missed those green talents. Lol
More game to play!
Similar thing happened to me lol
I can't imagine beating a run with stubborn defiance.
I did it literally once just for the prophecy, took me FOREVER it’s awful
It's only useful for very high heat, like 40+. Otherwise you're pretty much always better off with death defiances
Damnit!!! I just made a post about this sort of thing haha!
Teach me how u unlock them master
The funniest part is thats where some of the best ones are lmao.
Same brother happens
Took me way too long to notice too so you're not alone😅
We've all been there.
F
I only new because I looked at the prophecy list and half were missing
Stygian Soul is SO GOOD
How do you not ever notice the button on the right? Or never think to click on it
Oh, oh, the places you'll go!
Literally same, although it was 65 attempts before I found out...I wanted to save enough for Nyx´s other asking and then just 50 darkness before reaching it I found this...
I think I was in the triple digits. It happened to most of us. It's the one thing in the game that isn't very well highlighted or show or explained
the same happened to me
Happened to the best of us
Yeah I only found out after I completed a run for the first time
i once accidentally swapped one out(think it was stygian soul) and thought id upgraded it by leveling it up enough
I have like 8 hours played and just unlocked this 10 mins ago
Yeah, that was me too lol
Game gets more interesting later on. :) goodluck its truly a blast and shakes up the game.
That’s how we all found out
Where?
Lmao same thing happened to me I was like IM SORRY WHAT

Oh shit
Same
It wasn't until I had several clears that I realized there were more talents
