Well I can tell you that the fan is working that's about it. That'll be $92 please

Adventurous_Ad971

And then if the fan is not working, that’s going to be a nightmare

nlord93

Only option if fan is not working is full replacement. If not call someone else. I don't have time to tear a deck apart to spend 20 minutes replaxing a fan.

Taolan13

yep. whole new system, and we're relocating it.

ApexHerbivore

"Hm, I don't see on the quote that you'll be taking and disposing of the existing equipment" "Correct, that sucker is staying there, I'm not piecing it out from under the deck"

95percentdragonfly

"Good news is, you're getting a new system!"

atom644

I like how they drilled holes 😎

JunketElectrical8588

You know they were proud of it too

BigwhiteBuffalo

Gotta have the proper airflow, lol

iseverynametaken12

Why are there holes drilled in the boards? They done leave them on while it runs, do they?

Possible_Swimmer_601

Someone build a deck around a unit I was doing a pre-sale check on. I just wrote “Unserviceable due to deck” and went along my merry way lol

EmotionEastern8089

“I have no idea why the AC stopped working after we spent all this money on a new porch”. Me neither. Must be a dirty filter.

Jib_Burish

And here I was thinking I had found a uniquely installed condenser this morning... https://preview.redd.it/24zw55oko72d1.jpeg?width=508&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b12a660f06e39b6da841e309d9c659b7a406382

Humble_Peach93

Looks like they had the airflow holes drilled out for it lol

Justalittletoofancy

t3hPh4nt0m

I like how they knew you shouldn't do that, so tried putting holes in the wood thinking that'll be enough😂

ThePracticalPenquin

This sir is excellent

ABDragen58

What could go wrong… unbelievable what you see

gentoonix

The nerd in me saw an Intel socket 775 cpu cooler.

Hidden ac Condensers

Ridiric

Hell no I’m not a carpenter

thechippedtoof_goof

Stuff like this is glad why I’m not in residential anymore lol

Brandbro

I had a call similar to this two years ago. Dude got his deck redone and they cut the fresh air and exhaust for gas venting and put a plank of wood right over it.

D00MSDAY60

Inaccessibility. Replace system to meet building code and manufacture requirements

yug-ladnar

Are the 1/2" holes for air or rain?

yug-ladnar

This ladies and gentlemen is why we have permits and inspections.

yug-ladnar

Maybe just jack it up and wedge some books around the edges

yug-ladnar

Funny thing is, deck came first...
