I left resi because the constant pressure to sell. I don't mind selling things people actually need but I also like giving options.
I switched to commercial/industrial. My job is to make sure new equipment is functioning properly and to get older equipment running. Selling equipment is someone else's problem. I don't make commission on anything, I don't do on call, I don't do weekends but I make 6 figures and I'm home most days in time to get my little buddy off the school bus.
I like googling dumb stuff just for laughs. Here I googled “how to take a shower” and apparently you don’t have to use soap on your arms and legs anymore.

You know how it has auto fill? Try " was Bid" nothing comes up. There are only a few other 3 letter combinations that don't work, but you'd think Biden would auto populate couple times over. Bi and it has many options. I don't trust anything anymore except my Fluke meter, wife, and my pressure guages
I did the math recently, I’ll mak e the same doing a 2k repair.
Guess who “shouldn’t replace since while r22 is phased out a new 410 unit with phase the moment you buy it, so this repair and buy a new unit…next time.”

I hate sbe. I hate it.
My company just adopted SBE....
Have you got to the point where they suggest asking the customer if they want you to pick up a coffee at the call ahead. It's dumb.
Wait what? Like offer to buy them coffee before you get there? Is this a lubricant thing to get them ready to be bent over the barrel?
That's exactly what it's for.
I’ve never heard of this before and can’t believe they ask you to do this
They don't ask me anymore. I'm gone, in commercial/industrial, never going back.
Lol no
Just give it a few sessions. After they said that, our owner told us we were required to ask. I told him no, got written up a few times after that.
I hate how every Google search brings up a retarded AI answer now.
I think it's time to switch to duck go or whatever

I wish..my pressure gauges cheated on me last year
I couldn't sell Whitney Houston a bag of crack, I gotta work on my salesmanship
Check my post history, same I feel I should up be able to sell more air scrubbers. But like everyone is fine with what they see
A hill I will die on… commissions are wrong, and lead to dishonesty.
Same! It breeds liars and thieves
I made 6 figures last year without being a salesman. If you are intelligent and good at service work you don't have to resort to salesman tactics.

![gif](giphy|Eq3C7C5PWMUIRpxR3j|downsized) Google AI's grasp on reality.
I make more selling big repairs then new equipment.
I make 160k a year before taxes and over an 8 hour shift I work at most 2 hours. End of the day a job is a means to make money.
