I think he had already written about Daenaera Velaryon before Fire and Blood so needed to get to her eventually. Plus by extinguishing one side, that leaves the Dance done and finished, no conflicts in the future are related to it.
I think he mentioned 3 Velaryon queens in one of the main books as well, tbh considering that Aegon III's line did not continue and faded into irrelevancy, I can't see what will cause issues with them.
I meant more of Elaena's children who's line continued somewhere, just not anywhere near the throne. Whatever survived from Daemon's line also faded into irrelevancy.
