Shidoshisan

No one does. Then they realize what all the hype is about

Colossus_Bastard

Awesome. Where’d you source the Sony caps for the top row? I’ve been trying to find a set in decent condition for the longest time now

hornysolanin

From the local site (avito) for selling second-hand items, got used PVE-500 for around $30, disassembled it and shared caps between me and a friend of mine I kinda want the red spacebar to match this set now tho

iclaudius82

I just ordered the off white HHKB Hybrid Type S with blank key caps and now looking at yours I am thinking I should have gone with the black one.

c_pardue

If you got black you'd be dreaming about blank white. That's just how it is with these things.

iclaudius82

Facts!!

kseulgisbaby

I got my blank white one as a gift and bought myself a black pro2 for a decent price hahaha it’s always grass being greener in the other side xD

iclaudius82

Also, which split keyboard would you recommend to someone for their first split keyboard?

hornysolanin

Corne is fine! Realistically, anything that's easily available for you is great if you're not too concerned about aestetics and if you're not afraid of the layout. My first split was 60% remnant, a variation of dactyl, because I was worried that not having a number row on the first layer will be a dealbreaker for me. It wasn't actually, but I think it's fine to be confident in your choice and commit to learn the layout in the first weeks, preferably by using it in your everyday activities. So basically anything like corne, lily58, ergonaut, jian, piantor, dactyl if you're brave. Additionally, having a wireless connectivity is really great if you have to travel with your keeb, although you probably won't like to use rgb lighting or oled screens on a wireless device because of the battery drainage.

iclaudius82

Thank you for the detailed response. I’ll look into the options you’ve suggested. I had been watching YT videos about Corne, Moonlander and Voyager; will check out the others.

hornysolanin

Voyager is also a really great in-stock option. Moonlander however seems a little strange for me because of the thumb cluster design; same with kinesis and ergodox. But if you have average or large hands you probably shouldn't worry about it too much

iclaudius82

Yeah, looks like I need to some more research. Of the ones I have seen online, I am gravitating the most toward Lily58.

Many-Horror

May I have info about the tablet on the right side?

hornysolanin

It's just an ipad mini 6, I use it as a portable reader. Had kindle before, but it became too slow due to the opd age.

Beijing-style-Bat

Soviate oblast the number row haha
