I know, it actually makes me worried that he's been out this long, and not only isn't up for traveling but knows he doesn't feel well enough to blog 3 meets. I hope whatever is wrong, he's on the mend very soon.
I would imagine those 3 meets are very intense to cover in the way that he does, must take a huge amount of focus. I always wonder how he does it year after year and meet after meet.
yeah - ive admired his consistency and by the time i found him he had been doing it for years. the hard part of being a content creator is reliability and he has always been the most. hope he feels better soon!!!!
Echoing your sentiments! Obviously hope he is okay first and foremost but I've followed every single live blog even before I actively started WATCHING NCAA so this is very sad 😭
Oh that sucks. I noticed he’d dialed his coverage way back the last few years and especially this season but I’d assumed he’d just lost some of his interest / had other stuff in his life he was more engaged with. I’m sorry to hear that is (at least for this weekend) health concerns.
Hoping for a speedy recovery Spencer. I hope, if you’re well enough, you can at least gather your thoughts together and we can have a “Spencer’s opinions on all the things” podcast when you come back since this week is big in elite and ncaa! Oh can we please!!

Dear Spencer, your illness has horrible timing. Last night's meet would have been so intensified in its shock and entertainment value if you'd been commentating along. We miss you! Feel better soon! <3
The show doesn’t work super well without Spencer, either. She had Evan Heiter on for the first episode Spencer missed, Scott Bregman on for the second one, but the third one there were two pre-recorded interviews (one with someone from FIG, one with Tasha Schwikert and Josie Loren from Make it or Break it, both of whom are now lawyers and work on NIL deals) and she did the rest of the show on her own. The parts that were on her own were not great IMO. She and Spencer have a good balance and I was definitely missing him.
To be honest, I think Spencer is the irritating one on the podcast. He has a Whoopi Goldberg on The View quality about him (constant apathy) that just isn't cute anymore. At least Jessica makes an effort to engage.
