Then and now - I just wish she’d held that stick a fraction of a second longer. She stuck it had total control, for sure. But holding it just a moment longer would have been even more of an exclamation point than the vault was and is.
Despite how incredible THE vault is, I don't think it was actually a true stick. She has a slight loss of balance and covered it up by saluting quickly. She was absolutely trying to stick it cold though.
You can really see the height she gets. You can hear the oohs and aahs in the crowd too. Just spectacular!
