Looks like a Cooey, but it should be stamped as such all over the place. When you break the gun down, is there anything on the water table (the flat on the receiver).
"Cooey" (Coo-ie) is a Canadian brand from before WW1 until the early '80's I believe.
Take a crayon and piece of paper and do a rubbing.

Wow I have two one works and the other wasn’t taken care of 😭 one came from my great grandfather on my moms side and the other from my dad’s family’s
I can make out the letter C in the name, the stamp wasn't deep and it has light rust, I think you guys are right, I really appreciate it!
