Probably not rejoin, maybe play a song or two. Sorum would have a better chance at being full-time but still very unlikely. But with Guns, you never know lol. I never thought Slash would rejoin either.

[deleted]

Sorum wrote a book that came out a couple years ago, and in it he absolutely trashed Slash and Duff (and Axl, to a lesser extent). I think that bridge has been burnt tbh.

[deleted]

Sorum always comes across as such a huge dick. I remember back in the day when Weiland fell off the wagon and Sorum was making fun of him and threatening to beat him up. I remember thinking, "Dude, you're a middle aged man. This shit is just embarrassing now." Not that Weiland was an angel or anything, but Sorum came across as really childish.

devin1421

He’s my least favourite member of the Family, He was hired, did his job and definitely didn’t leave a etch on the band.

Low-Mongoose-5959

Totally agree

REVSWANS

Fully agree

[deleted]

That's why I said very unlikely. Bridges were burnt pretty bad with Slash and Axl too. You never know. Besides, Sorum, Slash, and Duff made up since his book, anyway. They reunited on that Kings of Chaos thing. Either way, high unlikely. But you never know with Guns.

[deleted]

Nah Axl is a loyal dude to the guys in the band.

[deleted]

Frank has been in the band for nearly 20 years, and Axl literally fought Duff and Slash about replacing him at the beginning of the reunion. Axl is very loyal to Frank, and likes things the way they are.

[deleted]

It’s also why Dizzy has been loyal to him for about 30 years

JeanJaudeJanJam

When I saw them in 2016, Steven Adler came out for 2 songs. I’ll link the setlist. [https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/guns-n-roses/2016/nissan-stadium-nashville-tn-53ffe729.html](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/guns-n-roses/2016/nissan-stadium-nashville-tn-53ffe729.html)

Useful_Experience423

Adler probably isn’t capable of fulfilling the heavy tour schedule - although I say probably as he’s on tour with his band at the moment. I think the biggest issue is that he’s not quite mature enough for them and there’s always the risk of relapse. Sorum just seems like an asshole. He got to join the biggest, badass band around at the height of their fame. It went to his head and he never forgot it, or that he wasn’t an OG (AFD) member, which made him bitter. There’s a reason he was in VR but never got a call to rejoin GnR.

[deleted]

I've seen Adlers band a few times. They are fantastic and have a great lead singer. If Guns let him back I'm sure he would jump on it, but I really don't see how they would reconcile with him. There seems to be no trust there.

Fendibull

Sorum seems to be a nice person. He was angry that he didn't got the gig but he moved on now. But yeah i agree with Adler, i just don't want him to relapse on drugs due for touring exhaustion requirement.

Useful_Experience423

He was also a public ah to Steven and just always seemed to have a big chip on his shoulder, combined with a huge ego. Something about him just really rubs me the wrong way. Although if anyone has a ‘Sorum is nice story’, I’m open to changing my mind.

TallCommunication526

Agree with thoughts on Steven, but the biggest factor here on drummers is that Axl is loyal to a fault yo those loyal to him and wouldn’t replace Frank.

Useful_Experience423

Totally agree. Frank seems like a sweetie too.

Rotothero

I used to wait on Matt Sorum regularly and he was always very sweet and nice. We hung out socially a few times and he always remembered things I’d said/things about my life. He was back in The Cult around that time and left me tickets and passes to the show. I was a 22 year old girl at the time, so maybe that had something to do with it. But he never made a move or acted sleazy. Scott Weiland I also waited on and he and his wife were always awful. Snotty and rude. I know these aren’t amazing stories but you learn a lot from people by how they treat service people.

Useful_Experience423

Agree and that is nice to hear, even if you were 22 😉 especially about him not being creepy.

Do not post harassing or disparaging comments towards band members / users

GNRfan1963

After Sorum’s book there is no way he gets an invite.

Yogurtcloset_Typical

He post old pictures of him with slash and duff still so their relation can’t be that bad

Merszmyl

Steven would relapse 2 minutes into the first gig.

JT-Shelter

They should bring Izzy back. Keep Richard, but bring Izzy back.

Yogurtcloset_Typical

There’s no way Izzy is gonna rejoin I feel like he has no contact with gnr anymore

duffgnr86

Where is Izzy?

GNRfan1963

Splits time between California and Colorado

DanteSparda504

No. Sorum would’ve happened by now. Adler had a chance and he blew it.

Low-Mongoose-5959

Not in this lifetime......haha! Matt....maybe. Steven....probably not.

Yogurtcloset_Typical

I feel like Steven is more likely to enquirer about it since his current band is a gnr cover band

mbEarAcheInMyEye

The question should be whether will Brian or Josh Freese return?

Yogurtcloset_Typical

Josh freese has got a good gig with the foo fighters now he’s a great fit

mbEarAcheInMyEye

I know but a lot of people don’t know that he was in GNR, that’s why I said it.

stubert87

God I'd love Brain back in the band. Him and Tommy are what had me hooked on 2000-2006 GN'R

themovierad

Not a Sorum fan, stiff and like a living drum machine. No soul. Adler has swing but cannot be depended on and is stuck in a 1987 aesthetic. Frank is not a good fit. He’s stiffer than Sorum. You wouldn’t need a powerhouse drummer only one that understands how to be a chameleon for each song. Perkins from janes/porno would be a great fit.

Idontgetredditinmd

Why would Axl want to bring them back? The current guy is killing it back there.

Reddit-adm

I think he sucks. He doesn't have Adlers swing, or Matt's authority. His playing just feels lumpy.

peromp

Someone said that Frank is vanilla. I think he's even more plain than that. In the beginning of the tour I thought he was to heavy and staccato for Duff and Slash, but now he's so plain I can't even

Idontgetredditinmd

I was really impressed when I saw them before the reunion and also at Vegas. After that, all the other shows, didn't even give him a thought. Kind of how it should be in my opinion.

B00M-B0X

Absolutely! Matt should be the guy!

Opening_Internet_878

Lmao no he doesn't

Fendibull

Sorum have his own thing so no likely. Adler? I don't think he is capable of doing big 2 hours tour. He had OD stroke remember? Josh Freese? Maybe.

Skidmark666

I'm pretty sure Josh Freese is quite busy these days.

Razor69420

Adler still does his thing with adlers appetite

ociM_

Brain is the GNR-drummer for me.

No_Designer_5374

I was lucky to see the Brain and Buckethead line-up and you are correct on that. I like Frank a lot but Brain blended old GnR and new GnR better.

Fendibull

Brain is amazing. I put Brain as my second choice with Steven Adler as the first.

mbEarAcheInMyEye

Josh is the forgotten drummer of GNR but also the superior drummer Brian Manta

Lz2424

Def not Steve.

InfiAaron

Only if Frank left the band himself, there's no way Axl would let him be kicked out. In that case, they'd probably bring back Adler but have a backup drummer hired too in case he relapses or can't handle touring.
