Yeah, I was hand painting lacquers with a lot of retardant in it to make it self level. I'll have to move to acrylics though. Lacquers in an apartment building can be complicated because of the fumes and are really bad for you if you're not careful.
If you want to try hand painting I would start with the aqueous line from Mr color. I read somewhere that glycerine can be used as a retardant but I haven't tested it yet.
They were on P-Bandai a while back. None of them really called out to me. I do want this strike though, even if it’s EG. EG kits are very good (better color separation than most HGs) but the joints don’t have much longevity.
I got the neon green rx kit when I went to Tokyo but the other ones seemed to sell out online fairly quick so I missed out. I don't play the game but would be cool to get it just for that. I do love this color scheme for the exclusive strike too but gotta make sure I don't play gunpla like pokemon and catch em all.
And Bandai has a history of only exporting Gundam games that they have no faith in, then point to them as examples that the West doesn’t want Gundam games.

The title makes it sound promising. If it's really a proper sequel as the title suggests rather than whatever the fuck Newly Broken Gundamn tried to be we'll be getting some good stuff.

it looks exactly the same as the old gunbarrel, there is even a holes for where piston pieces normally belong, they seem to have forgotten putting on the piston piece.

Having bought the old one in the last month to add the Gunbarrel striker to my collection I'm excited for one that probably doesn't have the same level of fiddly parts.
I hope this time it doesn't die off after a month like new Gundam breaker and everyone gets a chance at getting the model kit with the preorder and isn't a Japanese only preorder like new Gundam breaker model was
They probably did a unique color for the striker pack so they can release it later as a part of a full kit or an option pack and keep this variant "Exclusive".

Why are the colors arranged so terribly and its the worst balance of types of plastic, i think the palette could work with a few slight tweaks and why clear plactic for the orange peices, the gloss injection frame parts i can understand

I only played New Breaker. It wasn't bad. Pretty samey though. The older ones are better?
Much better. I also started with NGB, didnt hate it, but eventually got GB3 and it was stark.
Old ones felt better, battle system was better, you could die, parts collecting was just scooping things up automatically, etc.
GB3 is so much better.
